객체의 속성 정보를 이용한 감성기반 이미지 검색 및 주석 기법

How to capture subjective aspects such as emotion, feeling from the image is still a challenging issue. In this paper, we propose a novel multi-level learning approach to predict the emotional aspects of the concept in images. The proposed approach is based on the assumption that high-level attributes of a concept will affect user’s subjectivity to the concept. For example, an animal with high-level attributes ‘small’, ‘furry’, and ‘white’ can be associated with the emotional term ‘cute’. Based on this assumption, we build a multi-layer subjectivity learning framework which consists of 1) attribute learning layer that predicts high-level attributes of a concept and 2) subjectivity learning layer which exploits the outputs from the attribute learning layer for predicting the emotional aspects of the concept. We show the strengths and potentials of our approach through various experimental results on Animals with Attributes dataset and discuss further research directions. 이미지로부터 느낌, 감정과 같은 주관적 측면을 효과적으로 포착하기 위한 방법에 관한 연구는 여전히 도전적인 주제이다. 본 논문에서는 이미지 내에 존재하는 개체들에 관한 주관적 측면 중 감성적 측면을 효과적으로 예측하기 위한 다계층 학습 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법은 개체의 고수준 속성 정보가 개체에 대한 감성에 영향을끼칠 것이라는 가정에 기반한다. 예를 들어, “작고”, “털이 있는”, “하얀색” 동물들은 “귀여움”이라는 감성과 연관될 수 있을 것이다. 이러한 가정에 기반하여, 1) 개체와 고수준 속성정보 간의 속성 학습 계층 및 2) 속성정보와 감성정보 간의 감성 학습 계층의 두 단계 계층으로 구성되는 감성 학습 프레임워크를 구축한다. 마지막으로,Animals with Attributes 데이터 집합을 이용한 실험을 통하여 제안하는 기법의 강점과 잠재성을 보이고 향후 연구의 방향에 대하여 토의한다.
콘크리트 구조물의 안전성 확보를 위한 콘크리트 품질 이력 관리시스템 구축

Facility-related safety failures such as the collapse of 00 Bridge currently under construction and the determination of the lowest safety rating for a large-sized building in Gangnam continue to occur. In the ready-mixed concrete industry, illegal acts such as the use of unapproved cheap materials to cut back on the cost due to the growth slowdown in construction industry or reduction of cement volumes by deceiving the approved specific mix are being caught by police every year, leading to serious problems in concrete quality. To solve these problems, this study developed a structure traceability management system that inputs all the information including raw materials used for concrete, manufacturers, placing environments, and quality test result values in real time and manages them in a form of electronic document. To set up this system, a method of managing the present conditions from mixing design to placing was reflected through electronic documents. In order to secure reliability for concrete quality tests, a function that converts photographed test results into electronic documents using the mobile O.C.R (Optical Character Recognition) was developed, which is currently applied to 80 domestic construction sites in Korea. After the set-up, 9,735 mixing-design data and 10,025 quality test data have been stored as electronic documents in the 80 construction sites for 14 months. Additionally, the time to prepare documents according to the quality test was reduced by 74% from the previous 238 minutes to 62 minutes, proving the effectiveness in work efficiency. Data managed with these electronic documents will utilize a big data system and be helpful in identifying optimal mixing designs, structures, and structural forms of ready-mixed concrete by region. -
Hexagon 타일 부배열 안테나 시스템 구조 최적화에 관한 연구

본 논문에서는 위상배열안테나의 부엽레벨을 최소화할 수 있는 부배열 시스템 구조의 최적화에 관한 기술을 제안하였다. 제안된배열안테나 구조의 최적화는 6개의 육각배열을 한 개의 부배열과 육각 부배열의 육각형 배열 구조를 이용하여, 부배열의 배열간격과 부배열 사이의 배열 간격을 조절하여, 전체 위상배열안테나 시스템의 방사패턴을 최적화하였다. 제안된 기술은 2차원 평명배열안테나 시스템에 비하여, 24.3 dBi의 이득과 8.46도의 반치각은 변화없이 유지하며, 오직 x축과 y축 방향으로 각각 -3.4 dB와 -6.5dB를 감소시켰다.
CAI ( Computer Assisted Instruction ) 프로그램이 컴퓨터와 과학교과에 대한 학습자의 태도에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to investigate students' attitudes toward computers and science subject using CAI(Computer-Assisted Instruction) as an instructional strategy in the elementary school level of science and computer literacy course. The influence of CAI programs on learner's attitudes toward computers and science varied according to the variables of, (1) sex (2) experience by computer learning, (3) learner's attitudes toward computers and science. Eighty nine samples were divided into the two groups, One group(48 students) which is in the experimental group took a science instruction using CAI programs and computer literacy course, another group which is in the control group took only a science instruction using CAI programs. Data were collected and compared the experimental group with the control group. The results indicate as follows:(1) students took science instruction using the CAI programs appeared a positive attitudes toward science, (2) the science attitudes of science instruction using the CAI programs was more effective in the lower group than in the upper group, (3) computer literacy course produced the positive attitude toward computers regardless of the experience by computer learning, (4) students using CAI programs with computer literacy course were more effective than students using CAI program only, (5) science instruction using the CAI programs was not found a meaningful difference by sex.
