      • 재래한우의 혈청단백질 좌위의 유전적 다형분석

        The study was carried out in order to investigate the genetic polymorphism of serum protein, Albumin(Al) and Transferrin(Tf) through polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE) in native Hanwoo. Blood samples were collected and examined from a total of 90 cattle raising in Yesan district in Chungnam province. The results obtained were as follows; 1. The distributions of genotype for Al AA and Al AB at Al loci were 96.7%(87 heads), and 3.3%(3 heads), respectively. The homozygous genotype, Al BB was not detected in this experiment. 2. The frequencies of genes for AlA and AlB were 0.983 and 0.017, respectively. Therefore, these population of Hanwoo group had been maintaining genetic equilibrium (P>0.05). 3. The distributions of genotype for Tf AA, Tf AD1, Tf AD2, Tf AE, Tf D1D1, Tf D1D2, Tf D1E Tf D2D2 Tf D2E, and Tf EE were 10.0%, 23.3%, 20.0%, 6.7%, 6.7%, 13.3%, 6.7%, 3.3%, 6.7%, and 3.3%, respectively. 4. The frequencies of genes for TfA, TfD1, TfD2, and TfE were 0.350, 0.284, 0.233, and 0.133, respectively. 5. Al loci were supposed to be controlled by to autosomal codominant allelic genes such as AlA and AlB. However, Tf loci were assumed to be controlled by four codominant allelic genes as TfA, TfD1, TfD2, and TfE.

      • 봄철에 숙기가 다른 연맥과 유채 품종의 혼파가 사초의 건물수량 및 사료가치에 미치는 영향

        This study was conducted to investigate the effects of mixture of different maturity groups on dry matter yield and nutriive value of oat(va. Foothill and Swan) and rape(va. Akela, Sparta and Barnapoli) in the spring in 1998. The results obtained are summarized as follows; 1.Plant height of Swan was very slightly higher than that of Foothill in oat, but there was no significant difference. Also, although there was no significant difference, there was high in plant height of Barnapoli with Foothill, and Akela with Swan. 2.Dry matter(DM) yield of Foothill was very slightly higher than that of Foothill in oat, but there was no significant difference. Although there was no significant difference, dry matter yield of Akela with Foothill and Sparta with Swan was the highest in both oats. 3.Crude protein(CP) content and crude protein yield(CPY) of Foothill were very slightly higher than that of Swan in oat. And it was slightly higher in Barnapoli with Foothill and Sparta with Swan. 4.Acid detergent fiber and crude fiber content of Foothill were very slightly higher than that of Swan in oat. And it was slightly higher in Akela with Foothill, and it was greatly higher in Sparta with Swan. 5.Total digestible nutrients(TDN) of Foothill was very slightly lower than that of Swan in oat. And it was slightly higher in Sparta and Barnapoli with Foothill, and it was slightly higher in Barnapoli with Swan. The results demonstrated that although there was not significant difference, the mixture of var, Foothill of oat and var, Barnapoli of rape in the spring was very good for nutritive value and DM yield in Korea.

      • 당귀와 감초의 열 추출물이 주요 장내세균에 미치는 영향

        Bifidobacterium longum, Bifidobacterium adolesecentis, Clostrdium butyricum, E.coli, Eubacterium limosum was cultivated on the modified PYF medium containing the growth effect of this heating extract on the intestinal microorganisma. This heating extract was not found out to have the effect of Growth Factor of Bifidobacteria. All of the investigated intestinal microorganisme except E. coli did not grow on the medium containing the heating extract of Glycyrrhiza uralensis. On the medium containing the heatin extract of Angelica acutiloba grew ineffectively all the investigated intestinal microorganisms. The results indicated that the heating extract of Glycyrrhiza uralensis as carbon source was not utilized by Bif. Longum, Bif adolescentis, CI. Butyricum, E. coli, Eu. limosum, also that thois extact effected inhibition on the growth of Eu. limosum.

      • 機械拔骨鷄肉을 利用한 肉加工製品 製造에 關한 硏究

        For the utilization of mechanically deboned chicken meat (MDCM) from remnant chicken cuts in processed food products, chicken nugget was prepared with MDCM 0 from 40% and analyzed quality characteristic. The results obtained were summarized as follows. 1.The contents of crude proteins, crude fat, moisture and ash in chicken nuggets were 20.43-24.76%, 7.23-13.79%, 63.24-65.36% and 2.34-2.61%, respectively. 2.Sensory characteristics such as colors, flavor, juiciness, texture and over all acceptability showed decrease with increasing MDCM contents in chicken nuggets. 3.The levels of sensory score was no significant difference (P<0.05) between 0% and 20% MDCM treatments. 4.All treatments of chicken nuggets trended to increase lipid oxidation during storage at -15℃, TBARS increased rapidly in MDCM added nuggets.

      • 한우와 젖소의 혈구 Haemoglobin 좌위의 유전적 다형에 관한 비교분석

        This study was carried out in order to investigate genetis polymorphism of red cell, Haemoglobin(Hb) through polyacryamide gel electrophoresis in native Hanwoo and dairy Holstein breed. Blood samples were collested and examined from a total of 147 animals composed of 60 Hanwoo and 87 Halstein raiced in Yeasn area in Chungnam province. The results obtained from this experiment were as follows; 1. The distributions of genotype for Hb loic in Hanwoo were 63.3% for AA type, 16.7% for AB type, 10.0% for AC and CC type, respestively However, homotypes BB andCC were not detected at these loci in the present study. And then, the whole distributions for Hb loci in dairy Holstein were only homotype AA. 2. The gene frequencies for Hb A, Hb B and Hb C in Hanwoo were 0.766, 0.084, and 0.150. But in dairy Holstein, only Hb A gene was found without another allelic gene. 3. According to above these results, the red cell Hb types in Hanwoo were supposed to be controlled by three condominant allelic genes, Hb A,Hb B, and Hb C, whith those in dairy Holstein were estimated to be controlled by only one gene.

      • 한우산업의 발전을 위한 사육농가에 관한 조사 연구

        This survey was carried out to investigate and analyse the current status of feeding for development of Hanwoo industry. 50 total of farm households were surveyed in Chungnam province including Kyonggi, Chonbuk, Chungbuk and Kangwon province. The results obtained were as follows; 1. Of 50 farm households, the households below 10 years at feeding carrier were 56.0 percentage928 households), those over 21 years-carrier were 8.0 percentage(4 house-holds). 2. In patterns of agricultural management, 23 households were additional farming(46.0%), 11 households were special and professional occupation(22.0%), and 8 households were others and complex farming patterns(16.0%). 3. At beginning first farming, most managers started at the management pattern of calves, heifers and mature cattle, 24 households had been started at the small scale of the farming below 10 calves(48.0%), and then also others started at pattern below 10 heifers and 10 mature cattle. 4. Roughages at feeding Hanwoo were mainly rice straws at most farms, the average daily gain was under 1kg in 29 households(58.0%), marketing weight was 560kg in 29 households (58.0%), and were over 601kg in 7 households(14.0%). 5. The number of managers composed of husband and wife were 44.0 percentage(22 households), and then only one person was 38.0 percentage(19 households). 6. 22 households purchased cattle for rearing through the selection of body type, body weight, and body length(44.0%), 4 households purchased without consideration of appearance and body weight, 21 and 16 households purchased these cattle at market(42.0%) and at different farm area(32.0%), respectively. On the other hand, 9 households were raising through production at their farms. 7. The affairs and results of management had been recorded in 28 households only on important concerns and contents(56.0%). On sides of getting management information, 18 households depended on mass media(36.0%), 24 households depended on professional magazines concerned(48.0%), and no household was in case of getting information through specially concerned books and educational computers.

      • Cheese whey를 利用한 醱酵乳製造에 關한 硏究

        The fluid yoghurts were prepared by using cheese whey (6% T.S.) as a main material and added 0, 3, 6, 9% of skimmilk powder, respectively. After that they were incubated with L. bulgaricus inoculation. The test added amount of skimmilk powder, the test inoculated amount of starter, the best incubating time, and the quality of products were investigated. The results obtained were as follows: (1) As the added ammounts of solids-not-fat in whey were increased, the number of lactic acid bacteria and the acidity of whey were increased. (2) When the 5% starter was inoculated, it produced a good quality product. (3) As the incubating time was extented, the production of acid an? the number of lactic acid bacteria were increased in whey yoghurt, but the best quality of products was produced at incubation far 48 hours. (4) The product added 6% skimmilk to whey was similar to thee product added more than 6% skimmilk in properties.

        양돈농가의 기술경영 개선을 위한 농업교육 수요 연구

        This study was carried out to investigate the status of technical management of pig farms such as reproduction, mating system, farming size, farrowing and weaning performance, productivities, etc. for agricultural education in pig farms. Data was obtained from 240 farms in Chungnam and Kyeonggi province surveyed were collected and analyzed from August, 2001 to July, 2002.The results obtained were as follows. The average number of sow and total pigs per farm were 167.3 and 1,667.3 heads, respectively. The litter size born alive and at weaning were 10.8 and 10.1 heads. The rate of conception and farrowing were 90.9% and 2.27 times, respectively. The average marketing weight was 111.0 kg, and then the career for raising pigs were 15.66 years. The marketing system at finishing the fattening pig was mainly conducted through cooperative sale in farming. 62.1% of farms has been purchasing and using feeds of general agency. In the mating system, artificial insemination was used with the level of 67.1% among total farms. The exchange of another feeds was conducted by means of self-judging. The system of disease prevention and disinfection was mostly conducted daily, and 3 times per week. The utilization of consultation for technical management was 55.4% of total farms with the help of private professional consultants and skilled consultants working with feed companies. The fields of agricultural education needed at pig farms were mainly the prevention and treatments of animal disease.

      • 당귀(Angelica acutiloba)와 감초(Glycyrrhizauralensis)의 열 추출액이 장내 세균의 성장에 미치는 효과

        Bifidobacteriurn longum, Bifidobacterium adolescentis, Clostridium butyricum, Escherichia coli and Eubacterium limosum were cultured on the modified PYF medium containing 0.5% of glucose, heating extract(w/w) of Angelica acutiloba or Glycyrrhiza uralensis, and anaerobically incubated for 48hrs at 37℃. As a control, the same intestinal microorganisms cultured on the PYF medium with no additives and they were compared with other treatments. The addition of the heating extract of Angelica acutiloba increase the growth but optical density was lower than addition of glucose for the growth of intestinal microorgamisms which were investigated in this study. However, the heating extract of Glycyrrhiza uralensis slightly inhibited the growth for most intestinal microorganisms(Bif. longum, Bif. adolescentis, Cl. butyricum, and Eu. limosum) and it had a significant inhibition effect on the growth of Eu limosum when they were compared with control.

      • 사일리지용 옥수수의 출사기, 알곡 및 전체 사초중의 수분 함량에 따른 상대 숙도 비교

        사일리지용 옥수수 정부 장려품종의 상대숙도(MNRM)를 한국의 기후조건하에서 비교하기 위하여 장려품종 중 1998년 현재 낙농가가 재배하고 있던 12종을 수원지역에서 4월 10일에 파종하고 출사기(50% 출사)와 8월 15일 수확시에 알곡과 전체 사초중의 수분 함량을 조사하였다. 얻어진 결과를 가지고 출사기와 곡실중의 수분 함량, 출사기와 전채 사초중의 수분함량 및 곡실과 전체 사초중의 수분함량 간의 상관관계를 계산하였다.(중략)
