Purpose: The mortality of intestinal atresia has decreased remarkably owing to prenatal diagnosis, development of diagnosis method, neonatal intensive care, surgical technique, total parenteral nutrition and performing of early surgery. The clinical consideration of our experience about intestinal atresia would be helpful in the understanding of disease. Methods: We reviewed the clinical presentation, hospital days, diagnosis method, surgical method, postoperative early complication and mortality based on medical records, retrospectively, in 32 cases of intestinal atresia encountered at Inha University Hospital between March 1997 and May 2009. Results: The involved sites were; duodenum (n=11; 34.4%), jejunoileum (n=20; 62.5%), and colon (n=1; 3.1%). The mean postoperative fasting time was 6.38 days. The postoperative morbidity was 9.4% and mortality was 3.1%. Conclusion: Complete recovery from intestinal atresia can be insured by prompt diagnosis, early surgery and careful neonatal intensive care.

This paper describes a research for the performance improvement of the straight-bladed vertical axis wind turbine. To improve the performance of VAWT, the individual blade pitch control method is adopted. For the wind turbine, CFD analysis is carried out by changing blade pitch angle according to the change of wind speed and wind direction. By this method, capacity and power efficiency of VAWT are obtained according to the wind speed and rotating of rotor, and could predict the overall performance of VAWT. It was manufactured to verify performance of the experimental system that consists of rotor including four blades and base. Furthermore, torque sensor and power generator were installed. Also, active controller which can change the pitch angle of the individual blade according to the wind speed and direction was used.

본 논문에서는 해상 환경에서 소형 수직이착륙 항공기가 함상에 랜딩 후 미끄러짐과 뒤집힘을 방지할 수 있는 전기식 착함장치 개발 및 시험 전과정에 대한 개요를 논하고 있다. 해상 환경은 육상과 달리 심한 바람과 파도에 따른 함상의 운동(motion)이 존재하기 때문에 항공기의 미끄러짐과 뒤집힘(toppling)의 위험이 존재한다. 현재 국내에서는 해외에서 개발된 항공기 및 하푼을 적용하여 해상 환경하의 함상에 사용 중이다. 이에 국내에서 개발되는 소형 수직이착륙 항공기에 적용 가능하고, 항공기의 입력 전원을 이용하여 사용할 수 있는 전기식 하푼을 개발하였다.

This study was carried out to investigate the block shear strength of the 2ply laminated wood composed of Pinus thunbergii with ureaformaldehyde resin as adhesives according to pressure (6, 9, 12, 15㎏/㎠), pressing time(5, 10, 20, 30 hrs.), amount of spread(54, 108, 217, 324g/㎡), hardener(10, 20, 30, 40% of 10% NH₄CL on resin) and extender(o, 5, 10, 15% wheat flour on resin), and the bending strength and bending young's modulus of laminated beam according to the number of ply. The results were summarized as follows; 1. According to pressing pressure with amount of spread 217g/㎡, both dry and wet shear strength of laminated wood showed the highest in 15㎏/㎠, and hot-cold soaking treatment showed the highest in 9㎏/㎠, while all shear strength of dry, wet and hot-cold soaked laminated wood have been reduced with the increasing of pressing time. 2. According to amount of spread, adhesion strength with the dry, wet and hot-cold soaking treatments revealed the highest in 217g/㎡ and have been reduced under or over 217g/㎡of spread. 3. According to addition of hardener and extender, all shear strength of laminated block with the dry, wet and hot-cold soaking treatments have been reduced in increasing of addition amount of hardener and extender. The bending strength of beam according to the number of ply showed the highest in 2ply laminated wood and horizontal loading beam to glue line had the higher in strength than the vertical loading.
