브루셀라증은 전 세계적으로 발생하는 인수공통 전염병중에 하나로서, 본 증례는 국내에서 감염된 가축에 대한 노출력이 없는 집단에서 현증 브루셀라증이 발생한 첫 증례이기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고한다. 또한 환자가 근무하였던 축산물 부산물 시장에서 역학 조사를 실시하여, 현증환자 및 기감염자를 발견하여 축산물 부산물 시장 근무자에서 현증 브루셀라증이 발생할 위험성을 평가하였다. 역학 조사 결과 축산물 부산물을 다루는 일을 하는 사람들에서 감염된 가축과의 직접 접촉이 없이도 브루셀라증이 발생할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. Brucellosis is a world-wide zoonotic disease. We report the first case of brucellosis in South Korea that is not related to direct contract with intected cattles. The patient had been working in the market of by-product, stock raising for twenty years and complained of 1-month history of fever, chill, and intermittent epistaxis. We confirmed brucellosis by anti-brucella antibody test and PCR. After 6 weeks' treatment with rifampicin and doxycycline, fever and chilling subsided, and, generalized weakness and oral intake improved. We performed seroepidemiology study against workers who were working in the same market as the patient. However, we couldn't find out other cases with seropositivity. We concluded that although the workers of by-product market have a risk of getting brucellosis, the risk is low.
어류 주화세포에서의 계대배양에 의한 해양버나바이러스의 감염특성의 변화

해양버나바이러스(MABV)는 여러 종의 해양생물에 감염되며 숙주역이 넓다. 다양한 종의 숙주에 감염되었을 때의 MABV의 감염 특성을 규명하기 위하여, 주화세포 내에서 바이러스를 10대 계대 배양하여 in vitro로 연구했다. CHSE-214, RTG-2와 RSBK-2세포에서는 전형적인 CPE를 보이며 많은 양의 바이러스가 생산되었고, 높은 바이러스 단백질의 발현도 관찰되었다. 이에 반하여, EPC, FHM과 BF-2세포에서는 형광항체법에 의하여 바이러스단백질은 검출되었으나 CPE는 나타나지 않았다. EPC와 FHM 세포에서는 계대를 할수록 바이러스의 역가가 높아져, 바이러스의 숙주세포에의 적응이 일어난 것으로 보인다. 플라크의 크기는 CHSE-214, RTG-2와 RSBK-2세포에서 계대한 것이 다른 세포에서 계대한 것보다 커, 숙주세포의 종류에 따른 변이가 바이러스에 일어난 것으로 추측되었다. 게놈분절 A에 존재하는 VP2/NS 경계영역의 염기배열에서는 195번째의 염기에 특이적인 변이가 보였다. 숙주세포의 종류에 따라 다른 MABV의 감염특성은 자연계에서 다양한 숙주종에서 일어나는 in vivo에서의 감염특성을 반영하는 것으로 생각된다.v Marine birnavirus (MABV) has wide host range in marine organisms. To clarify various infection properties of MABV in different host species, in vitro study was performed by subculture for 10 passages in several fish cell lines. In CHSE-214, RTG-2 and RSBK-2 cells, the virus produced high yield of virus. Typical CPE with high protein expression was observed in these cells. On the contrary, the virus grown in EPC, FHM and BF-2 cells exhibited no CPE appearance although virus protein was detected. In EPC and FHM cells, the virus titer increased in later passages. The plaque size was distinctly bigger in CHSE-214, RTG-2 and RSBK-2 cells than in other cell lines. The nucleotide sequence of VP2/NS junction region on genome segment A exhibited one specific nucleotide change at 195. The different infection properties in several cell types performed in the present work might reflect in vivo MABV infection in various host species occurring in natural conditions.

This study surveys a worldwide famous Japanese architect Fumihiko Maki and analyzes his architectures which have architectural concepts from 1960s to now. He has received the Pritzker Architecture Prize Laureate in 1993 and AIA Gold Medal in 2011 that is very glorious and honorable as an architect. Therefore this study researches his architectural works into the essential meanings and characters thoroughly to find out his architectural concepts. Fumihiko Maki has pursued various concepts in his works which have context & group form in city and Modern style, Japanese traditional space & application of new technologies and materials in architecture. But his concept of architectural construction are not meaning of individual concepts separately but harmonization in his works interactively.
Distribution of Marine Birnavirus in Cultured Olive Flounder Paralichthys olivaceus in Korea

Surveys of marine birnavirus (MABV) were undertaken in cultured olive flounder Paralichthys olivaceus from the south and west coastal areas and Jeju in Korea during the period January 1999 to April 2007. MABV was detected in all seasons from the fry, juveniles and adult fish from the areas examined. Evident cytopathic effects of the virus including rounding and cell lysis were observed in chinook salmon embryo (CHSE-214) and rainbow trout gonad (RTG-2) cells, but not in fathead minnow (FHM) and epithelial papilloma of carp (EPC) cells. Nucleotide sequences of the VP2/NS junction region of the Korean isolates showed 97.8%~100% similarity, and they belonged to the same genogroup. Cross neutralization tests with serotype-specific rabbit antisera against MABV strains exhibited a close antigenic relationships between strains, and were distinct from infectious pancreatic necrosis virus (IPNV) strains. Coinfection of MABV with bacteria (Streptococcus iniae, Vibrio spp.) and viruses (nervous necrosis virus, lymphocystis disease virus, viral hemorrhagic septicemia virus) was observed.
