PCR을 이용한 식품 내 Salmonella 균주의 신속 검출방법

여러 종류의 식품에서 Salmonella 균주를 손쉽고 빠르게 검출하기 위하여, Salmonella 장독소 유전자(stn)를 기초로 제작한 primer (STN1, STN2)를 이용하여 PCR을 수행한 결과 617 hp의 특이적인 DNA단편을 얻을 수 있었다. PCR 민감도는 순수 배양한 균체에서 추출한 template DNA는 1 pg까지 검출이 가능하였고, 직접 균체를 template로 이용한 경우에는 $10^2\;cells$까지 검출이 가능하였다. Salmonella typhimurium을 인위적으로 접종시킨 식품에서는 식품 1 g당 $10^3{\sim}10^4$ cells까지 검출할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 PCR을 이용하여 Salmonella에 오염된 식품에서 이들 균주를 간편하고 신속하게 검출할 수 있을 것이다. This study was carried out to investigate the simple and rapid detection of Salmonella species in different kinds of food using PCR method. The specific primer sets (SIN1 and SIN2) was designed and utilized to amplify a 617 bp DNA fragment from salmonella species. The sensitivity of PCR was 1 pg of purified template DNA or $10^2$ cells from pure culture. The detection limit of Salmonella typhimurium on agarose gel electrophoresis was $10^3{\sim}10^4$ cells/g in the artificially contaminated food samples. These results suggested that this simple method could be applied to industrial fields for detection of Salmonella species in food.

Enterovesical fistular is an abnormal communication between the intestine and the bladder. It represents a rare complication of intestinal diverticulitis, colorectal malignancy, bladder cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, radiotherapy, and trauma. The most common etiology is diverticular disease. A 70-year-old man came to our hospital due to frequent urinary tract infection, dysuria, pneumaturia and fecaluria. Sigmoidoscopy revealed a large diverticulum with impacted stool at the sigmoid colon. When the scope was inserted into the site, the patient complained of severe urgency and pneumaturia. CT scan was performed. 1.5 cm sized fistular tract between the sigmoid colon and bladder was noted. According to the endoscopy and CT finding, the diagnosis of colovesical fistula was made. The patient underwent surgical intervention. At laparotomy, there were multiple diverticula and fistular tract was noted. (Korean J Gastroenterol 2011;58:284-287)

Applied technologies of solar energy, as an alternative energy source to the fossil fuel, became the main part in developing renewable energy resources. As sound-proof walls are commonly constructed around urban roads passing through the cities, it is required to develop the new technology to produce solar power using them with solar cells in the roads. While Japan and the United States have already built the convergence sound-proof wall with a photovoltaic system, Korea has not developed relevant technologies related to the sound-proof wall yet. In this study, as an alternative to the relevant technical improvement, we design the vertical convergence sound-proof wall and propose the applicable technology using bi-facial solar cells and inert gases.
광대역 컨포멀 배열 안테나를 위한 빔 형성 연구 및 최적 소자 위치 선정

본 논문에서는 LSM(Least Squares Method)와 GA(Genetic Algorithm)를 이용한 광대역 컨포멀 배열 안테나의 최적 빔형성을 제안하였다. LSM을 적용하여 컨포멀 배열 안테나의 빔 패턴을 선형 배열 안테나의 빔 패턴으로 근사시키는 가중치들을 구하였다. 그리고 GA를 이용하여 광대역에서 최적의 빔 패턴을 형성하는 컨포멀 배열 안테나의 최적 위치들을 구하였다. 제안된 방법을 검증하기 위해 Bezier 플랫폼 배열 안테나에 적용시켜 보았다. This paper proposes an optimum beam forming of conformal array antenna by using LSM(Least Squares Method) and GA(Genetic Algorithm). The weights which approximate conformal array antenna beam pattern to linear array antenna beam pattern have been evaluated by applying LSM. Also, the optimum locations of conformal array antenna which form wideband optimum beam pattern have been obtained by using GA. The proposed method is applied to a problem of Bezier platform array antenna for a verification purpose.
