본 연구는 지적 장애인들의 감각처리 유형에 따른 감각처리능력을 확인하고자 진행하였다. 장애인복지시설에 생활하는 98명의 지적 장애인을 대상으로 청소년/성인 감각 프로파일을 사용하여 감각처리능력을 알아보았다. 연구결과 지적 장애인들의 감각처리능력은 4가지 영역(낮은 감각등록, 감각찾기, 감각민감성, 감각회피)에서 모두 평균보다 낮은 점수를 보여 대부분의 사람들보다 적거나 매우 적은 반응을 보이고 있었다. 성별에 따른 차이는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았지만, 연령을 청소년기(11세에서 17세)와 성인기(18세 이상)로 구분하여 비교한 결과에서는 낮은 감각등록, 감각찾기, 감각민감성 유형에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 장애 등급에 따른 감각처리능력은 낮은 감각등록과 감각회피 유형에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 확인되었다. 차후 연구에서는 지적 장애인의 거주 환경에 따른 감각처리능력을 확인하고, 대상자 수를 확대하여 장애등급에 따른 감각처리능력을 비교하는 연구들이 이루어져야 할 것이다. The purpose of this study was to examine the sensory processing of adults with intellectual disabilities by Adolescent/Adult Sensory Profile(AASP). AASP was executed for 98 adults with intellectual disabilities residing in nursing home. The score of sensory processing ability expressed the conditions of being ‘Less Than Most People’ and ‘Much Less Than Most People’ in the all sensory processing areas of Low Registration, Sensory Sensitivity, Sensory Seeking, Sensory Avoiding. There was not significant difference in the sex. The score of sensory processing ability between teenagers(11 years to 17 years) and adult(above 18 years), teenagers statistically showed lower scores in the three sensory processing areas of Low Registration, Sensory Seeking, and Sensory Sensitivity. In addition, there was significant difference in the sensory processing areas of Low Registration and Sensory Avoiding according to the disability grading. In the future research, it is suggested to examine the sensory processing within residual setting and it need a study comparing sensory processing skills according to the disability grading by increasing subjects.

자폐스펙트럼장애 아동들의 효과적인 조기 중재에 대한 체계적 고찰

목적 : 본 연구는 국외 학술지를 대상으로 체계적인 문헌고찰을 통해 자폐스펙트럼장애(autism spectrum disorder, ASD)아동들을 대상으로 사용되는 조기 중재 방법의 효과를 확인하는 것이었 다. 연구방법 : 2017년 12월 이전까지의 국외 학술지에 게재된 논문을 Pubmed를 통하여 검색하였다. 주 요 검색어로는 ‘autism’, ‘autism spectrum disorder’, ‘ASD’, ‘high function autism’, ‘high function ASD’, ‘Asperger syndrome’, ‘pervasive developmental disorder’, ‘PDDNOS’, ‘intervention’과 ‘early intervention’를 사용하였다. 최초 검색된 논문은 724편이었으나 포함 및 배제기준을 적용하여 최종 10편의 연구가 선정되었다. 결과 : 자폐스펙트럼장애 아동의 조기 중재는 10편의 선정된 연구 중에서 8편의 연구가 응용행동분 석에 기초한 중재 프로그램을 적용하였고, 다른 2편의 연구들은 감각 통합적 접근과 테크놀로지에 기반을 둔 중재접근을 사용하였다. 대부분의 연구가 조기 중재로 의사소통기술과 사회적 상호작용 기술, 지능, 적응 행동의 증가, 동시집중력의 향상과 같은 긍정적인 효과를 보고하였다. 결론 : 본 연구는 자폐스펙트럼장애 아동의 조기 중재에 대한 근거를 제시하며, 향후 국내 연구에서 효과적인 조기 중재에 대한 효과를 확인하는 연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다. Objective : This systematic review aimed to evaluate the global literature on the effect of early intervention for preschool children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Methods : A literature search of the PubMed database identified 10 studies published up to December 2017, using the following search terms: autism, autism spectrum disorder, ASD, high-function autism, high-function ASD, Asperger syndrome, pervasive developmental disorder, PDDNOS, intervention, and early intervention. Results : Early intervention for children with ASD used Applied Behavior Analysis in 8 of the 10 selected studies. The other two studies used a Sensory Integration approach and Technology-based intervention. Most studies reported positive effects on communication skills, social interaction skills, intelligence, adaptive behavior, and improved attention through early intervention. Conclusions : These results suggested a basis for early intervention for children with ASD. Further research is needed to determine the effectiveness of early intervention.
