      • 生態型이 다른 토마토 品種의 生育과 收量에 관한 硏究

        Three ecotypes of tomato (Ogata Zuiko, Moneymaker and Roma) were grown in different seasons. The dry matter accumulation and its partition and the leaf area expansion were compared. Parallel with the growth analysis, the yield was compared udner both the soil and solution culture. The differential growth occured between the cropping seasons and among the three cultivars. The partition of photoassimilate into fruit occurred sufficiently in Monymaker than in the other two cultivars. According this fact, Moneymaker seemed to be a heat tolerant cultivar. The behaviour of growth parameters differed with seasons and cultivars. RGR was affected by NAR rather than LAR because the seasonal changes of RGR were fitter with NAR than with LAR. Although the lower lower contribution of LAR to RGR, LAR seemed to be more influenced by LWR than SLA. There were no obvious differences among cultivars between the solution concentration in yield. Moneymaker showed the tendency to early flowering.

        This study was conducted to investigate the relationships between the responses of soybean and red pepper to simulated acid rain, the simulated acid rain(SAR) of pH 1.8, 2.3 and normal rain of pH 6.0 applied from 30 days after emergence of soybean and red pepper to harvest at the two-week interval. SAR of pH 1.8 and 2.3 caused brown spots in the Ieaves of soybean and red pepper and the injured rates were severe as the pH of SAR lowered. Chlorophyll content of soybean and red pepper decreased as the pH of SAR lowered. Visual injured rate affected by simulated acid rain treated 3 times were negatively correlated with chlorophyll content of soybean and red pepper.

      • 배지의 종류가 참외의 초기생육과 수량 및 과실의 당도에 미치는 영향

        This study was conducted to investigated the effect of growth medium of hydroponic system on the early growth, yield and soluble solid content of fruit of Cucumis melo var. makuwa cv. Eunchun. Plant height and length of node of stem was significantly higher in soil cultivation than in perlite and cocopeat medium. So it could be done easily for pinching work of stem. And the diameter of stem was thicker in the plant grown in perlite and cocopeat medium than in soil. Yield per plant was higher in cultivated at perlite and cocopeat medium than cultivated in soil in all sampling times. Mean of fruit weight and soluble solid content were not showed significant differences in all treatment. These results could be apply to the practical work in hydroponic cultivation for oriental melon by examining more growth conditions.

        This study was conducted to find out the growth and yield of 10 varieties of direct seeding rice on dry field in the eastern coastal area. There was no differrences in the number of seedlings among the varieties by 133-175/㎡. The fastest heading time was Aug. 21 in Dunnaebyeo and Sept. 7 was the slowest in Dongjinbyeo. The largest number of panicles per unit area was appeared 438 in Naepungbyeo and the smallest number of that was 293 in Sangsanbyeo compared to the other varieties tested. The number of spikelets was different depending on varieties, 88 spikelets in Jinmibyeo and 57 spikelets in Dunnaebyeo. 1000-grain weight of Jinbubyeo and Hwaseongbyeo showed higher compared to other varieties tested. The percentage of ripened grains was different depend on the varieties, ranged from 58.9 to 78.5. The yield of brown rice was higher in the order of Jinmibyeo>Naepungbyeo>Ilpumbyeo>Sinseonchalbyeo>Sangsanbyeo>Dunnaebyeo>Jinbubyeo>Donghaebyeo >Dongjinbyeo>Hwaseongbyeo.

        This study was carried out to find the effects of the mixtures of earthworm cast and coffee lees as a vegetable plant growth medium on the growth of hale seedlings. The mixed ratios of earthworm cast and coffee lees were 100:0, 75:25, 50:50 25: 75 and 0:100%. The results of the study are as follows: 1. The hydrogen ion concentration(pH) was recorded 7.54 in nursery soil with 100% of earthworm cast treatment, but the lower mixed ratios of earthworm cast in nursery soil were, the more it fell down. Thus, pH in 100% of coffee lees treatment and commercial plant growth medium as control treatment was showed 5.68 and 5.80, respectively. 2. The nursery sorb with 100% of earthworm cast was generally higher than treatment of the others in shoot dry weight per plant. The shoot dry weight per plant was also high in the control treatment except 3rd week, but there was no significant between the control treatment and the treatment including 75% of earthworm cast and of 25% of coffee lees. 3. As growth stages were developed, the plant iength(cm), number of leaves and diameter of stem of kale seedling were increased in all treatments. Especially, it was clear in 100% of earthworm cast treatment. In the meanwhile, the plant Iength(cm), number of leaves and the diameter of stem in the control treatment were higher than those of in treaments consisting both of 75:25 and 50:50(%) of mixing ratios with earthworm cast to coffee lees in the early growth, but in the latter growth in the mixture of 75% of earthworm cast and of 25% of coffee lees was showed a similar tendency to the control treatment.

        The effects of high temperature on the style elongation and the pollen fertility were investigated in different ecotypes of tomato. 'Moneymaker' and the two breeding lines named 'CL 1131' seemed to be heat-tolerant cultivar with appearance of abnormally elongated style and the pollen fertility to abnormally elongated style and the pollen fertility to high temperature. To investigate the germination ability and fertility of pollen, anthers were detached and pollens were incubated under the different temperature(15~35℃) on the agar medium. The optimal temperature for pollen fertility was 25 to 35℃. 'Moneymaker' was the highest and 'Ogata Zuiko' was the lowest rates of pollen fertility in all the treatments. For the pollen germination, the optimal temperature was 25℃ in all the cultivars, but at 35℃ they lost the ability of pollen germination. 'Moneymaker' also had a high ability than the other cultivars. Under the serious conditions in the growth chamber, all the three cultivars showed the high temperature injuries in vegetative and reproductive growth. But 'Moneymaker' is superior in fruit set than the other two cultivars under high temperature conditions.

      • 주요 엽채류의 가식부위내 NO₃- 함량에 관한 연구

        This Study was to conduct to investigate the variations of NO₃- content in the leaf lettuce depending on the amounts of fermented poultry manure and growth conditions, and to examine the accumulation of NO₃- in the edible parts of major vegetable crops which on the market. The results are as follows 1. As the amounts of fermented poultry manure increase, the accumulation of NO₃- in the leaf lettuce increase under the lower light density. 2. Although the NO₃- contents in the welsh onion(24ppm) and Chinese chieves(133ppm) on the market showed somewhat low, the NO₃- content in the pepper leaf, Japanese parsley, sinsuncho, sesame leaf showed high, respectively 1250ppm, 1260ppm, 1386ppm, and 1400ppm. 3. The NO₃- contents in the leaf lettuce and kale on the market showed high except being cultivated at the field(790ppm). Especially the kale by organic farming(6785ppm) and hydroponic leaf lettuce(6500ppm) showed very high NO₃- content.

        Experiments were conducted to investigate the effect of hydroponic system on the early growth and fruit quality of Cucumis melo L. var. makimw cv. Eunchun. Early growth of oriental melon in three systems of hydroponics was similar and significantly higher than in common soil cultivation but it was lowest in NFT. Early yields of oriental melon also showed similar tendency and yield per plant was the lowest in NFT. But there were no significant differences on mean fruit weight in four treatments. Diameter and length of fruit were not showed significant statistical differences. Soluble solid contents were highest in placenta of fruits grown in fertigation system. Fruits grown in perlite medium system had higher soluble solid contents than in other treatments except placenta in fertigation. These results could be apply to the practical work in hydroponic cultivation for oriental melon by examining more growth conditions.
