ZnO nanorods were prepared on a Si substrate with and without a ZnO seed layer formed by electro-oxidation to investigate the effect of the seed layer on their growth. The ZnO nanorods grown on the ZnO seed layer had top surfaces that were flat whereas those grown without it had rough top surfaces, as observed in field-emission scanning electron microscopy images. In the Xray diffraction analysis, all ZnO nanorods showed preferential orientation with the (002) plane. In the case of ZnO nanorods prepared with a ZnO seed layer, the residual stress decreased, and the full width at half maximum of the ZnO (002) plane peak decreased. The photoluminescence spectra show a strong and narrow near-band-edge emission peak and high near-band-edge emission to deep-level emission peak ratio for the ZnO nanorods prepared with the seed layer. With respect to the photoresponse properties, the ZnO nanorods grown with the ZnO seed layer showed higher responsivity and faster rise/decay curves than those grown without it. Thus, the ZnO seed layer formed by electro-oxidation improves the structural, optical, and photoresponse properties of the ZnO nanorods formed on it. This method could serve as a new route for improving the properties of optoelectronic devices.

We studied the morphological, optical, electrical, and photoresponse properties of ZnO thin films grown by using the sol-gel spin-coating method on Zn buffer layers oxidized at different temperatures ranging from 300 to 600 °C. With increasing the oxidation temperature, the surface morphology changed from granular to a cluster of aggregates. In the photoluminescence spectra, the highest ratio of the intensities of the near-band-edge to the deep-level emission and the lowest value of the full width at half maximum were observed at an oxidation temperature of 300 °C. The ZnO thin film grown on the Zn buffer layer oxidized at a temperature of 300 °C showed the highest values of transmittance in the visible region. The optical band gap was blue-shifted with decreasing oxidation temperature from 400 to 300 °C, and the lowest Urbach energy was observed at an oxidation temperature of 300 °C. In the study of the photoresponse properties, the fastest response/recovery rate and the highest photosensitivity were obtained for the sample prepared at an oxidation temperature of 300 °C.
Window 밀폐형 광 커넥터의 허용 공차에 관한 연구

Window 밀폐형 광 커넥터의 정렬오차로 인해 발생하는 광 손실을 감소시키기 위해 정렬용 기구물의 허용 공차에 대한 연구를 진행하였다. 광섬유 간 결합을 위해 사용되는 광 커넥터는 광신호 전달 및 광통신 시스템의 전달 거리 증가를 위해 높은 광효율을 유지 및 향상시키는 것이 중요하다. Window 밀폐형 광 커넥터의 경우 정렬용 기구물을 통해 광학계를 정렬하며, 이때 두 커넥터를 결속한 채 사용하기 때문에 구성요 소가 고정되어 추가적인 정렬이 불가능하다. 광 커넥터의 광학계 정렬을 위해 사용되는 하우징 시스템 및 정렬 핀이 가지는 정렬오차는 광 손실을 발생시켜 광통신 시스템의 심각한 문제를 야기한다. 따라서 해당 광 커넥터의 정렬용 기구물 제작 시 요구되는 허용 공차에 대한 연구를 위해 광 커넥터의 광학 부품인 볼렌즈와 window의 공차 분석을 진행하였다. 또한, single-mode와 multi-mode 광 커넥터 광학계를 각각 구현하여 광 효율 시뮬레이션을 진행하고, 그 결과를 기반으로 정렬용 기구물에 대한 허용 공차 값을 도출하였다.
수술용 장갑을 사용하여 제거한 날카로운 식도 이물 1예

Foreign bodies with a sharp margin in the esophagus are often associated with serious complications, such as bleeding, perforation and mediastinitis in the middle of endoscopic removal, as well as impaction in the esophagus wall. Therefore, safe extraction for such patients is essential. The techniques that are performed with an endoscope have been designed with using a protector hood and overtube. Yet the former is not available in Korea, and the later is uncomfortable and limited in diameter. Press-through-packs (PTPs) are commonly used as a package for drugs and they also usually cause esophageal impaction because they have sharp edges. We report here on a case of an impacted PTP in the upper esophagus, and this was successfully extracted endoscopically with using a surgical glove, which is a better safe alternative to above mentioned removal items. 식도의 예리한 이물은 압박에 의해 합병증이 발생할 수 있지만, 내시경으로 제거하는 과정 중에도 출혈, 천공 등 심각한 합병증이 발생할 수 있다. 따라서 안전하게 제거하는 것이 필수적이며 이러한 방법으로 지금까지 overtube, protector hood 등이 사용되어 왔다. Press-through-pack (PTP)은 약 포장 재료로 흔히 사용되는 것으로 날카로운 모서리로 인해 제거에 세심한 주의가 필요하다. 저자들은 상부 식도에 걸린 PTP를 수술용 장갑을 사용하여 기존의 보고와는 다른 방식으로 안전하게 제거한 1예를 문헌 고찰과함께 보고한다.
Recurrent Neural Network를 활용한 서비스 이벤트 관계 분석에 관한 연구

Enterprises need to monitor systems for reliable IT service operations to quickly detect and respond to events affecting the service, thereby preventing failures. Events in non-critical systems can be seen as a precursor to critical system incidents. Therefore, event relationship analysis in the operation of IT services can proactively recognize and prevent faults by identifying non-critical events and their relationships with incidents. This study used the Recurrent Neural Network and Long Short Term Memory techniques to create a model to analyze event relationships in a system and to verify which models are suitable for analyzing event relationships. Verification has shown that both models are capable of analyzing event relationships and that RNN models are more suitable than LSTM models. Based on the pattern of events occurring, this model is expected to support the prediction of the next occurrence of events and help identify the root cause of incidents to help prevent failures and improve the quality of IT services.
