硫化鉛漠膜의 半導體的性質

單結晶보다 近來에 들어와 오히려 主要視되고 널리 利用되고 있는 眞空?着法에 의한 PbS 薄膜의 性質을 硏究하고자 進行된 本實驗은 爲先 4000 Å 程度의 固體薄膜을 만들고 이것의 Spectral responcer, 電氣傳導度 및 온도에 의한 電氣傳導度의 變化등을 測定하였다. PbS 薄膜의 近赤外線部의 transmission 은 PbS 單結晶의 그것과 달라 大體로 Spencer의 結果와 一致하였으나 Spencer의 transmission curve보다 3μ 近傍에 若干의 起伏이 생긴것은 specimen에 包含된 不純物의 差에 起因한다 보겠다. 電氣傳導度는 resonance와 voltage dependence가 있었으며 이것은 conduction electron과 crystal imperfection에 依한 散亂으로 說明하고자 하였다. 熱的效果 卽 temperature dependence는 主로 carrier concentration에 生기는 變化에 依한 것으로 보고 이를 說明 해보고자 하였다. photoconductiveity를 硏究하는 過程의 첫째 段階로서 選擇한 PbS의 諸性質을 찾기 爲하여 여기서는 Oxigen activation을 全혀 加하지 않기 爲하여 PbS specimen위에 MgF_2의 100 Å 程度의 薄膜을 6μHg 下의 眞空에서 coating하므로 specimen과 空氣와의 接觸을 막고자 하였다. 이렇게 하여 앞으로 硏究할 PbS의 photoconductivity의 硏究의 基礎가 될 PbS 自體만의 半導體的性質을 규명 하는데 本硏究는 置重하였다. Certain Property of PbS thin film evaplated in vacuum is determi ned. The optical studies involve transmission spectra at visible and near infrared. It is compared with the sigle crystal. The electrical conductivity is measured as a function of the electrical field which is applied to the specimen. The electrical conductivity as a function of the tempereture is measured from O deg. to 60 deg. C. The sample is treated as a simple circuit element when it is measured. The Seittz’s theory of electron in metal is applied in the explanattion of the experimental result.

Zoom 영상 표현을 위한 영상 코딩 알고리듬

본 논문에서는 zoom 영상 세트로부터 최적의 깊이와 텍스쳐 정보를 추출하는 효과적인 영상 코딩 알고리듬을 제안하였다. 제안된 알고리듬은 깊이 추출 단계와 텍스쳐 추출의 2단계로 구성되어 있다. 물체 공간에서 X-Y면을 삼각패치로 나누고 각 삼각패치 노드의 깊이 값은 깊이 추출 단계에서 결정한 후, 두 번째 단계에서 각 삼각패치의 텍스쳐를 추출한다. 깊이 추출 단계에서는 각 삼각패치의 노드를 중심으로 이루어진 사각형 윈도우 영역에 대하여 블록에 기반한 변이 보상 방법을 적용함으로 노드의 깊이를 결정한다. 텍스쳐 추출 단계에서는 아휜 변환에 기반한 변이 보상 모델을 이용하여 zoom 영상으로부터 삼각패치의 텍스쳐가 추출된다. 영상의 화질을 개선하기 위하여, 영상 평면에서 보정하는 대신 물체 공간에서 보정을 수행하였다. In this paper, we propose an efficient coding algorithm for the zoom images to find the optimal depth and texture information. The proposed algorithm is the area-based method consisting of two consecutive steps, i) the depth extraction step and ii) the texture extraction step. The X-Y plane of the object space is divided into triangular patches and the depth value of the node is determined in the first step and then the texture of the each patch is extracted in the second step. In the depth extraction step, the depth of the node is determined by applying the block-based disparity compensation method to the windowed area centered at the node. In the second step, the texture of the triangular patches is extracted from the zoom images by applying the affine transformation based disparity compensation method to the triangular patches with the depth value extracted from the first step. To improve the quality of image, the interpolation is peformed on the object space instead of the interpolation on the image plane.

Hemorheological Alteration in Patients Clinically Diagnosed with Chronic Liver Diseases

Since liver function is changed by chronic liver diseases, chronic liver disease can lead to different hemorheological alterations during the course of the progression. This study aims to compare alterations in whole blood viscosity in patients with chronic liver disease, focusing on the gender effect. Chronic liver diseases were classified into three categories by patient’s history, serologic markers, and radiologic findings: nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) (n = 63), chronic viral hepatitis B and C (n = 50), and liver cirrhosis (LC) (n = 35). Whole blood viscosity was measured by automated scanning capillary tube viscometer, while liver stiffness was measured by transient elastography using FibroScan®. Both systolic and diastolic whole blood viscosities were significantly lower in patients with LC than NAFLD and chronic viral hepatitis (P < 0.001) in male patients, but not in female patients. In correlation analysis, there were inverse relationships between both systolic and diastolic whole blood viscosity and liver stiffness (systolic: r = −0.25, diastolic: r = −0.22). Whole blood viscosity was significantly lower in male patients with LC than NAFLD or chronic viral hepatitis. Our data suggest that whole blood viscosity test can become a useful tool for classifying chronic liver disease and determining the prognosis for different types of chronic liver diseases.

The main purpose of this paper is to examine the similarities and difference on black images in Harriet Beecher Stowe's Uncle Tom’s Cabin and Harriet Jacobs' Incidents in the life of a Slave Girl. Stove's Uncle Tom’s Cabin drew tremendous national attention when it was issued in 1852. Uncle Tom’s Cabin which became an instant bestseller was a very important historical artifact, especially as a medium which helped bring about the national abolition movement to an unhappy disaster, Although Stowe Played Plenty of stirring and defiant attacks on the evils of slavery, she showed all prevailing stereotypes for black people of her day. Tom, the hero of Uncle Tom’s Cabin, has an important effect on a stereotypical image of blacks, a loyal old slave. Stowe can be said not to overcome her racial limit as a white. While Stowe describes blacks' image simple imagining what it was like to be, Jacobs refuse those stereotypes for black slaves. She argues that blacks have complex individuals and capable of both good and evil. Jacobs' Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl also deals with the tabooed subjects of sexual exploitation of black slave women. As she said slavery was terrible for men, but it is far more terrible for women. As not only a slave but also a woman, she represents her own experiences that she had to endure a sexually threatening and abuse master, a cruel mistress. That is, Jacobs refuses all fixed and distorted images of the black slaves.

A case of cardiac metastasis to left atrium from small cell lung carcinoma

Secondary cardiac tumors are much more common than primary tumors of the heart. In lung cancer, rates of heart invasion were shown to differ on the basis of the pathologic type. Adenocarcinoma spread to the heart in 26% of cases, squamous cell carcinoma in 23.4%, undifferentiated carcinoma in 21.2% and bronchoalveolar carcinoma in 17.4%. For all the lung cancer pathologic type, the most involved area of spreading was the pericardium. In the previous study, 24% patients with small cell lung carcinoma (SCLCa) had cardiac involvement and then, the pericardium was involved in all cases. In retrospective study of extensive disease SCLCabetween 1999 and 2010, about 29% patients had pleural and/or pericardial metastasis. However, there was no intracardiac metastasis in extensive disease SCLCa. To our knowledge, there has been no report of metastasis of small cell lung carcinoma to the heart. Here, we report a case of SCLCa with symptomatic metastases invading the left atrium via right inferior pulmonary vein (Figure).

Purpose: To evaluate the role of vitrectomy in transscleral fixation of posterior chamber intraocular lens (IOL) compared to scleral fixation without vitrectomy. Methods: We reviewed the medical records of 8 eyes which had undergone transscleral fixation with vitrectomy using the three-port-system and 13 eyes which had undergone transscleral fixation only. The postoperative visual acuity, best-corrected visual acuity and changes in astigmatism were compared between the groups. Results: Postoperative uncorrected and best corrected visual acuities were 0.68 and 0.8 in the vitrectomy group and 0.48 and 0.63 in the non-vitrectomy group, respectively. Changes in the amount of astigmatism were significantly less in the vitrectomy group (0.38 diopter) compared to those of the non-vitrectomy group (1.67 diopter). Conclusions: Transscleral fixation of IOL along with three-port-system vitrectomy resulted in good vision with a smaller degree of astigmatism. Adopting three-port-system vitrectomy seems to have caused the good results, because more complete removal of the lens and capsule remnants and adequate maintenance of IOP with accurate needling and IOL positioning was possible using the system.

집단범주화, 개인 및 집단의 수행수준이 외집단 구성원 선택에 미치는 효과

Present study examined the effect of success/failure feedback of group and individual on the choice of individual mobility strategy with a factorial design of 3×2×2. In addition, the effect of social categorization was also tested. Salience level of social categorization was manipulated by gender composition of subjects of ingroup and success/failure of ingroup and individual was manipulated by a feedback of performance after novel perceptual test. The experimental results were as follows: First, participants who were informed that their group failed, chose outgroup member as their partner at the next test more than those who were informed that their group succeeded. Also, in the condition of ingroup failure, participants who informed their individual score was successful, chose outgroup member more than those informed their individual score was failure. Furthermore, significant three-way interaction showed that the choice of outgroup member among the participants who succeeded in failed group increased when social categorization was salient. Particularly, female subjects showed stronger response than male. Implication and limitation of present study were discussed.

On the whole in Wuthering Heights the life and love of Catherine and Heathcliff seem not realistic because it deals with a hero and heroine controlled by extremely strong passion, emotion, and supernatural power. Heathcliff's pertinacious love for Catherine who is married woman and Catherine's love for Heathcliff which ignores morality and commonsense are very striking in terms of moral principals. Emily Bronte doubles readers' interest and secures objectivity and reality in the novel by weaving their story throughout with Lockwood and Nelly, the narrators, who have a lot of flaws. Especially, Bronte gives the story that lacks a sense of reality, realistic structure by making Lockwood intervene in the story. Bronte also shows the hypocrisy of commonsense, morality, and norm of civilized society and the unsaid violence hidden in its appearance by Lockwood and Nelly. Therefore the readers not only get to notice that it is impossible to grab the intrinsic nature of love of Catherine and Heathcliff through them but also realize that they can only find the message of Wuthering Heights by rejecting theses values. Above all, Bronte leads the readers to believe the story Nelly tells as a fact but not to trust her standpoint. Therefore the readers must read the true meaning of the life and love of Catherine and Heathcliff which is not expressed by words. Finally the readers are given the role as critics who criticize the text with a positive attitude. In this way Bronte rejects a monotonous and one-sided interpretation of Wuthering Heights and opens a variety of interpretations. This is her high artistic excellence and could be the most significant point which gives Wuthering Heights originality and modernity.
