This research investigated how the advantages of Pilates were adapted to professional dancers in the introductory period of Pilates via in-depth analysis of the existing literature on Pilates. Primarily, this paper reviewed Korean academic studies regarding a relationship between Pilates and professional dancers from 2005 to 2017. A total of 28 articles were selected based on two ways: subject and methodology for in-depth research. Then, a new framework for studying Pilates was proposed to fill the academic gaps revealed by this analysis. With the fundamental study of Pilates, it will provide direction for future research to apply Pilates to dances.

This study measured cosign similarity between words through Word2Vec for the composition submitted by 252 female college students. This study made efforts to propose a new dance study methodology and attempted an analysis of how the general public recognized dance as an exercise. This study drew results from limited texts without separate data crawling or processing. However, since there are infinite data that can be utilized for research and methodologies that can be used for research, hopefully, interesting studies will continue with creative data in the future. Furthermore, this study verified that the general public chose dancing, not as an exercise, and also found that the factors that led to choosing dance were mainly psychological aspects. Hopefully, various strategies will be investigated to appeal to the general public that dance would also be very helpful for enhancing physical functions so that the general public can approach dance more easily.
