Purpose : To evaluate normal tonsillar position at different ages, using MR images. Material and Methods : Wemeasured the position of the cerebellar tonsils with respect to the inferior aspect of the foramen magnum onmiddle sagittal MR T1 weight images in 210 patients(9 days to 83 years) who were not considered to have anydisorder that would affect tonsillar position. Results : The mean distance between tonsillar tip and inferioraspect of the foramen magnum was 0.0 $\pm$ 1.9mm in the first decade of life, 0.7 $\pm$ 2.8mm in the fourth decade, and3.4 $\pm$ 2.3 mm in the eighth and ninth decades. The tonsillar position is significantly lower in youth(first andsecond decades) than in old age(seventh to ninth decades). Conclusion : We believe that a single referencestandard that indicates the normal distance of the cerebellar tonsils from the foramen magnum is inappropriateunless age is considered. We suggest that the following distance below the foramen magnum(more than 2 standarddeviations out of the normal range) be used as criteria for ectopia of the cerebellar tonsils in koreans : firstand second decades, 5mm ; third to sixth decades, 4mm ; seventh and eighth decades, 3mm.

The aim of the study to apply green building technology to environmental problems associated with a transparent glazing office building. In other word, with appropriate green building techniques. Environmental load will be reduced and amenity increased. The proper external shading device has a great effect on the reduction of the cooling load, if the characteristics of the solar radiation is considered. This study aims to propose the proper design scheme of the external shading device. The effect of external shading device on the cooling load is evaluated by the numerical simulation(IES·VE).

The objective of this study was to develop a hydrologic simulation model to predict daily streamflow from a small agricultural watershed considering irrigation return flow. The proposed IREFLOW(Irrigation REturn FLOW) model consists of hillslope runoff model, irrigation scheme drainage model, and irrigation return flow model, and simulates daily streamflow from an irrigated watershed. Two small watersheds were selected for monitoring of hydrological components and evaluating the model application. The relative error (RE) between observed and simulated daily streamflow were 2.9% and 6.4%, respectively, on two small agricultural watersheds (Baran and Gicheon) for the calibration period. The values of RE in daliy streamflow for the validation period were 6.0% for the Baran watershed, and 2.8% for the Gicheon watershed.
