The lower dielectric constant obtainable with foamed insulation of FEP resin varies directly with void content. In order to decrease the dielectric constant of Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene (FEP) resin has made use of foaming specimens. As the results of the study, the logarithm of the dielectric constant decrease linearly from 2.1 of pure FEP resin to 1.52 or less, and at 1 mega Hertz, dielectric loss tangent is also observed about ????? order, so it is very suitable for high frequency insulation cable. The volume resistivity ????? ��m was obtained.

The dielectric properties of silicone rubbers are very important to investigate the polymer structure. The characteristics of the dielectric absorption in silicone rubbers were studied in the frequency range of 30㎐ to 1×106㎐ at the temperature range of 30℃ through 170℃. As the results of the study, dielectric constant, tangent 8 were measured 2.8∼4.5, 0.007∼0.08.

고분자 물질을 결합제로 사용하여 고형충전물을 피복-응집시킨 입상체를 압축할 때, 입상계층 내의 intragranular stress, 입자-벽면간의 마찰, 압축밀도간의 상관관계를 규명하였다. 입상체층 상단에 가해진 압력과 하단에 전달간 압력간에는 선형관계가 성립되었고, 압축밀도에 대한 입상체크기와 입도분포의 영향은 결합제의 특성에 의해 결정되었다. When the flocculated granule with polymeric binders were compressed, correlations for intragranular stress, particle-wall friction, and %TMD in the granular bed has been investigated. The relation between the applied pressure and the transmitted pressure was linear over the entire applied pressure range for all of the samples. The effect of the granule size and distribution on the compacted density was dominated largely due to the binder characteristics.

지뢰 제거에서 가장 중요한 요소는 지뢰의 탐지인데, 현재 이용되고 있는 장비들의 성능에는 나름대로 장.단점들이 있어 주로 미구기과 유럽에서 새로운 지뢰의 센서기술을 개발하려는 노력이 대단히 활발하게 이루어지고 있다. 캄보디아나 아프칸 등 전쟁 또는 내전의 후유증으로 제거되지 않고 방치된 무수히 많은 지뢰들에 의해 민간인들의 피해가 계속되자 UN을 중심으로 한 소위 '인도적 지뢰제거'(Humanitarian Demining)사업이 펼쳐지게 되면서 선진국을 중심으로 이 분야의 연구개발 예산이 늘어나기 시작하였다.

For the major scientific laboratories around the world, nanotechnology has been one of the key scientific issues since the end of the last millenium. The basic materials of this newly emerging technology are nanoparticles, which, in fact, have been used for many centuries. However, the physical properties of the particles were understood quite recently. In order to apply the new properties we have to protect and functionalize the surfaces of the particles, since without protection of the surfaces, nanoparticles grow themselves due to Ostwald Ripening. In this review, the author describes recent technical progress in the field of fuctionalization of various nanoparticles and their applications, so that readers can grasp the overall picture of this new technological field.

MOFs(Metal-Organic Frameworks) are new kinds of materials comprised of metal ions and functional organic ligands, and have large pores in its rigid structures which give the materials various functionalities, including gas absorption, separation, drug delivery etc. Recently photoluminescence properties of MOFs and possibilities of its application to high explosive sensing technologies are drawing attentions from scientists and engineers, because these methods are simple, cheap and easy to perform detection operations. In this article the author reviews the mechanisms of photoluminescence of MOFs, the detection methods of high explosives using MOFs and recent research progresses based on the papers published mainly during last 10 years.
