Numerous morphological studies on N. samarangae have been well conducted over the last ten years. In this context, we have attemtped to do molecular phylogenetic analysis by using metallothionein (MT) gene from N. samarangae. To this end, we cloned the full length cDNA of MT from cDNA library of N. samarangae. The complete cDNA sequences were obtained from the expressed sequence tag (EST) sequencing project of N. samarangae. The coding region of 195 bp gives an amino acid sequence of 65 residues including methionine. There are 5' (61 bp) and 3' (48 bp) untranslated region at both ends of the Ns-MT cDNA sequence. The combined results from BLAST analyses, multiple sequence alignment and molecular phylogenetic study of Ns-MT cDNA indicate that N. samarangae has similarity to land snails such as Helix pomatia, Helix aspersa and Arianta arbustorum.

There is no denying that language and culture have very close relation which cannot be separated. Therefore, by supplementing cultural elements, it is possible to enhance the efficiency of language education, especially foreign language education(cf. ‘linguaculture’, Fantini 1995, ‘languaculture’, Agar 1994, ‘language and culture’, Byram & Morgan 1994). LEE & Han(2016) has tried to develop the Japanese & Korean Cultural Element Mining System(CEMS) for the purpose of boosting Japanese language education. CEMS is a tool to find out the distinctive cultural elements by comparing the other different language from the analysis of words’ frequency of co-occurrence. Since CEMS was intended to expand to the multi-languages from the very first stage of development, it is very easy to add another language such as English and Chinese. In this paper, we suggest the Korea-China-Japan joint interdisciplinary research based on the Cultural Emement Mining System.

This study is to devise an independent metaverse platform to expand a database to discover cultural elements (CE) by using the Multilingual Image Frame Network (CIFN) built through Lee Jun-seo and three others (2020). In addition, it is intended to overcome the limitations of traditional text mining by actively applying its own big data analysis technique specialized in extracting cultural elements called ‘culture mining’(application number: 40-2020-0207048). The metaverse platform envisioned in this study is to specialize in culture mining by collecting and processing high-quality data by overcoming finite limitations in the existing offline world in a three-dimensional virtual space where virtual and reality coexist.

This paper compares the Korean and Japanese ingestibles of ‘ingestion_frame’(framenet2.icsi.berkeley.edu/) in terms of the Text-mining technical method. LEE & Han (2016) has attempted to develop the Japanese & Korean Cultural Element Mining System (CEMS). CEMS is a tool used to uncover distinctive cultural elements by comparing languages and analyzing the frequency of word co-occurrence. By way of text-mining the CEMS, we found several results. 1. ‘Rice’ took the first place on the frequency ranking for both Korean and Japanese. 2. On the Korean frequency ranking, ‘soup’-related foods took the high places, whereas ‘raw fish’-related foods took the high places on the Japanese frequency ranking. 3. Nowadays, Japanese have become more fond of ‘meat’-related foods than Koreans owing to 2ndgenerationKoreansandthe recentKoreanWave.

We have tried to build a text-mining system to extract cultural elements by using SEJONG Corpus and BCCWJ. In this paper, we examine cultural elements of Japanese and Korean "sleep" frame verb and try to find out the differences of each language based on the analysis of the result of co-occurrence rates(t-scores). Both belonging to the same "sleep" frame("The sleeper stays in an altered state of consciousness with greatly reduced external awareness.", the definition of the frame-https://framenet.icsi.berkeley.edu-), each language shows several differences. The very noteworthy finding is that Japanese "neru" shows the very unique core lexical element of "sleeper", ‘old man’ and from the usages of "neru", it means "posture change" rather than "state change", which both English and Korean mainly mean.
