Prestressed concrete structural system is the one of the best alternatives to satisfy deflection requirements for the long and slender span members. Especially, pre-tension member can be precasted at factory that reduces construction waste by minimizing the onsite work and construction duration, which is considered as an eco-friendly and economical structural method. However, the economic efficiency of the pre-tension system heavily depends on the transfer time as the pre-tensioned member need to acquire an proper compressive strength at transfer. Unfortunately, the allowable compressive stresses in many codes of practice are based on only experience without theoretical consideration, which also are often very conservative. To solve out such problems, this research proposed the allowable compressive stress based on ultimate strength design method, considering main variables such as shapes of cross section, intensity of prestress, and eccentricity of tendons.

In order to evaluate the effect of unilateral tooth clenching, the author observed a feature of producing the symptom complex related to pain and discomfort by the isometric unilateral canine biting under force of 5kg(FS) in Korean 31 adult females within normal masticatory function who were divided into the bilateral, the right and the left group according to their habitual sides of mastication, and analyzed the observed data statistically. The obtained results were as follows: 1. The duration of the isometric unilateral canine biting maintained before the occurrence of symptom complex related to pain and discomfort 66.72 seconds at right side and 39.50 seconds at left side in a group of subjects with bilateral habitual mastication. And the difference of the duration between of unilateral biting side was almost significant (P<0.05). 2. The most frequent region of occurrence of symptom complex related to pain and discomfort by the isometric unilateral canine biting was the contralateral superficial masseter muscle in a group of subjects with bilateral habitual mastication.

대두 종자 저장 단백질의 일종인 ${\beta}-conglycinin$ ${\alpha}'$ subunit 유전자의 upstream 지역에 결합하여 전사 조절에 관여하리라 추정되는 대두 핵의 DNA 결합 단백질을 조사하기 위하여 대두 핵 추출물과 S-100을 조제하였다. 염기서열이 AACCCA-27 bp-AACCCA인 합성 DNA를 pUC19에 클로닝한 플라스미드 pSE3를 EcoRI과 HindIII로 절단하여 절편을 분리하고 $^{32}P$ 로 표지하여 이를 gel mobility shift assay 탐침으로 이용한 결과, 대두 핵의 DNA 결합 단백질의 일종인 SEF3(soybean embryo factor 3)의 역가가 핵 추출물과 S-100에서 검출되었다. 각각 CATGCAT, AACACA 염기 서열을 가지는 DNA를 탐침으로 이용하여 SEF3 이외의 DNA 결합 단백질의 역가를 조사한 결과 대두 핵 추출물과 S-100에서 각기의 염기 서열에 결합하는 수 종의 DNA 결합 단백질이 확인되었으나 두 시료에서 공통된 양상을 보여주는 DNA 결합 단백질의 역가는 확인되지 않았다. 또한 대두 S-100의 경우에는 개화 후 32일 부근에 SEF3 역가가 검출되는 데에 비하여, 핵 추출물에는 20일 전후에 SEF3 역가가 나타나서 32일 부근에 역가가 현저히 증가하였다. Soybean nuclear extracts and S-100 were prepared to examine the soybean embryo factors which bind to the upstream region of soybean ${\beta}-conglycinin$ ${\alpha}'$ subunit gene. SEF3(soybean embryo factor 3), which is presumed to be a trans-acting factor for the expression of the gene, was detected in gel mobility shift assay using the DNA probe containing two AACCCA hexanucleotides. DNA probe containing CATGCAT or AACACA was used to find any other soybean embryo factor interacting with the upstream region of ${\beta}-Conglycinin$ ${\alpha}'$ subunit gene. It was found that there was no common DNA binding protein detected both in nuclear extracts and S-100. The relative levels of SEF3 binding activity both in nuclear extracts and S-100 of maturing soybean seeds were determined. SEF3 activity of nuclear extracts was first detected around 20 days after pollination and significantly increased around 32 days after pollination.

Springback Prediction in U-draw/bending of DP and TRIP Steel Sheet

U-draw/bending experiment and simulation have been employed to investigate the characteristics of springback in sheet metals, because they can represent the deformation of material in forming processes with simple but robust manner. Finite element method is frequently used for the simulation of springback, but the prediction is strongly influenced by the constitutive models such as yield criteria and hardening laws. In the present study, springback of DP and TRIP steel sheets in U-draw/bending was predicted with a finite element analysis. Various constitutive models were considered: the von Mises isotropic and Hill’s anisotropic yield models for the yield criteria; isotropic and non-linear kinematic hardening models for the hardening laws. Especially, to characterize the hardening behavior, both uniaxial tensile test and balanced biaxial tensile test (by hydraulic bulge test) were carried out. The prediction was greatly influenced by the choice of hardening model, while slightly affected by the choice of yield criterion. It was found that the kinematic hardening model provides better prediction than the isotropic hardening model for the particular model materials. The use of flow curve from hydraulic bulge test seems to be more reliable than the use of uniaxial tensile flow curve owing to extended measurable strain range.
