1. Objectives: According to Sasang Constitutional Medicine, human beings are classified into four constitutions. Furthermore, medication and food should be taken differently based on the constitution because Sasang Constitutional Medicine is a field where all living things are perceived from a relative viewpoint instead of a standardized one. If so, what about the animals and its meat? This paper aims to identify the characteristics of the mics consumed, sonsially targeting pork and chicken as they are some of the most frequently enjoyed ones with the perception of the animals by the Sasang Constitutional Medicine. 2. Methods: We examine the differences between pigs and chickens through the behavior and nature of them such as morphology, sound, body temperature, taste etc and support the observed differences with medical application. 3. Results: From the Sasang Constitutional Medicine's perceptive, pig is considered as Soeumche while chicken is belongs to Soyangche. Thus, pork is recommended for the SY type while chicken is preferable for the SE type. 4. Conclusions: In this paper, we are trying to suggest several categories for the evaluation of the constitution in animal, especially for pig and chicken. We hope that this is one of the framework for the understanding the animal with Sasang Constitutional Medicine's viewpoint. And also, it may useful to apply the basis what we have outlined in this paper for improving the method of raising livestock as well as the research of laboratory animals.

Objectives: In this study, the lipolytic effects of Eriobotrya folium extract (EFE) on local fat wasinvestigated in high fat diet (HFD)-induced obesity mouse and 3T3-L1 adipocytes. Methods: C57BL/6J mice (5 weeks) were fed HFD for 6 weeks to induce obesity. EFE (20 mg/ml,100 l) or saline (100 l) as a normal control was injected into left inguinal fat pad region, 3 timesper a week for last 2 weeks. After sacrifice, body weight, and histological changes of the inguinalfat pad were evaluated. The expressions of hormone-sensitive lipase (HSL) and adiposetriglyceride lipase (ATGL) in inguinal fat pad were analyzed by Western blotting. Also, lipidaccumulation and lipases release were determined in 3T3-L1 adipocytes by oil red o staining. Results: EFE significantly reduced the weight of inguinal fat pad and the size of adipocytes inHFD-induced obesity mice compared to control. The treatment of EFE up-regulated theexpressions of HSL and ATGL in inguinal fat pads of obesity mice, as well as 3T3-L1 adipocytes. In addition, EFE inhibited the lipid accumulation in 3T3-L1 adipocytes in a dose dependentmanner. Conclusions: EFE showed lipolytic effect on local fat of HFD-induced obesity mice byup-regulation of the lipases secretion. This suggests that EFE could be considered as anti-obesesubstance with lipolytic property on local fat.

We analyze competitiveness of material and component industry(MCI) of Korea, China and Japan using trade data, OECD ITCS database with HS-code system. We use unit price indices, export unit price index, import unit price index, and TOT unit price index. These indices provide quality information from trade data of value and quantity. Our results show that there are quality gaps among three countries, and that China expand development potential, and the results vary as sectors. It implies that R&D investment to improve quality of MCI products is essential and that sector-specific policy is necessary.

In order to find out the effects of shelf-life extending, Campbell grapes were treated with phytoncide pads and compared it with control and other treatments like sulfur dioxide acid pads. With using the phytoncide pad derived from pine tree extract, the pattern of fragrance components according to the storage period of Campbell grape was analyzed by GC-MSD electronic nose. The proper selection of qualitative sensors (peaks) used in the multi-variate chemical analysis of electronic noses distinguished the pattern of fragrance components of electronic noses over the storage period of grapes. In addition, the results of PCA and DFA analysis showed that the GC-MSD electronic nose can distinguish the difference according to the storage period. The ethanol from GC-MSD increased until 6 days of storage and then decreased from 9 days of storage, and by treatment, phytoncide pad 2 treatment showed a pattern of fragrance components with extended shelf life.

레이욘계 활성화탄소섬유(KF-1500)에 구리를 첨착하고 반응관에 충전한 후 300~400℃에서 NO가스를 통과시키면서 촉매 분해시켰다. NO 가스의 주입농도는 1,300ppm이다. 구리를 첨착하지 않았을 때는 NO 가스를 거의 흡착하지 않았으나 구리를 5혹은 10wt% 첨착시킨 활성화탄소섬유는 400℃에서는 6시간 이상 200ppm 미만의 NO 농도를 유지하면서 효과적으로 분해시켰다. 구리는 활성화탄소섬유의 미세공 입구 탄소에 첨착되며, 활성탄소섬유에 첨착된 구리 [ACF-C(Cu)]는 반응의 초기에는 [ACF-C(Cu_(2)O)]가 되면서 NO를 N_(2)로 환원시켰다. [ACF-C(Cu_(2))O]도 NO를 환원시켜 N_(2)를 발생시키면서 [ACF-C(Cu_O)]가 되었다. 이러한 반응이 진행되는 동안 활성탄소섬유의 질량은 거의 변함없이 없었으므로 첨착된 구리가 촉매로 작용하였다고 판단되며, 촉매 환원은 반응온도가 높을수록 가속되었다. No gas was decomposed by Cu-impregnated rayon base ACF in a column reactor at 300∼400℃ in helium surrounding. Initial NO concentration was 1,300ppm. The as received ACF adsorbed NO very little. However, NO was effectively decomposed by 5-10wt% Cu-impregnated ACF at 400℃. The concentration of NO was maintained less than 200ppm for 6 hours in this system. Copper was impregnated at the entrance of micropores. Impregnation of Cu particles on ACF should be homogeneously distributed to increase the capacity of catalytic reduction of NO. The Cu-impregnated ACF-C(Cu) deoxydized NO to N₂ and was reduced to ACF-C(Cu₂O) in the initial stage. The ACF-C(Cu₂O) also deoxidized NO to N₂ and was reduced to ACF-C(CuO). There was little consumption of ACF in mass during the catalytic reduction of NO to N₂ by copper. The catalytic reduction was accerelated by increasing the reaction temperature.
