      • 體育實技에서의 Rhythm 開發에 關한 硏究(Ⅰ) : 史的背景 및 Rhythm의 實在

李禮順 韓國體育大學校 1979 論文集 Vol.1 No.-

Rhythm exists everywhere. We cannot think of our daily life without rhythm which is considered an important element in leading our lives. The characteristic of humanistic physical education originated in Athens was to pursue beauty. As the result of it, it was found that all our physical movements, or exercises, if they caused to happen. It was Dalcroze and Bode who recognized the importance of rhythm and began to revolutinally cultivate it with a view to applying the rhythm of music to that of our physical movements. They may be called founders of rhythm exercise of expression. Regreful to say, however, little research has been made to develop rhythm itself we experience while waking physical movements. The development of rhythm itself is most important when we take into consideration our physical economy in performing various physical exercises. How can a man expect good results when he is ignorant of this? All sports events require rhythms of their own which should be developed and applied to them by the students as well as their instructors. In order to develop and cultivate rhythm, we first have to analyze rhythm itself because the music rhythm of a student should be in harmony with that of his physical exercises while he performs various skills in his physical education class or he participates in a contest. With this view in mind, I discussed such elements of rhythm as timing, accent, tempo, speed and so forth in chapter 4 as an attempt to develop and Cultivate rhythm itself.

      • 발레 무용수의 呼吸에 關한 小考

이예순 韓國體育大學校 1997 論文集 Vol.20 No.-

Ballet dancers have required a special method of breathing, and this is different from contraction of the abdominal and the back muscles. A different breathing pattern applies to each ballet technique, therefore ballet dancers must have a special discipline for their breathing technique along to each technique. First, the most basic position for learning 'ballet respiration' begins with lying on the floor. The purpose of lying position make possible to learn how to bring the ribs together without bending the spine or shoulders. The sequence is as follows : ■Inhale while bringing the ribs together and pulling the abdomen toward to back and make spoon-like form. ■Exhale while keeping the ribs and stomach together. When doing this, it must feel like exhaling is being done through the back muscles. Second, when dividing a ballet movement into preparation, main movement, and finishing movement (or completion), the exhalation must be performed during the main movement which is being most important. ■In the case that the main movement is jumping, exhaling must be done when the body is at the height of the jump, and in the case that the movement is balance or pirouette, it must be done when the relieve is highest. Third, the golden rule of a ballet movement is the show the most relaxed state of the body while exhaling. The reason for using this kind of method of respiration is to prevent the body from becoming rigid during performance, and to form the aesthetical line that is intended by dance at the most relaxed state of the body. Another reason for training is necessary for persistence while ballet dancers have to movements to music, and because ballet movements have a cycle pattern that repeats movements requiring the concentration of force at momentary points. When this kind of breathing is appled to each ballet technique, an entire flow of movement rhythm can easily be expressed in mixed variations.

이예순 韓國體育大學校 1989 論文集 Vol.12 No.-

We surveyed and analyzed ability of rhythmic recognition through Drake's Rhythm test by sports performance (superiority vs inferiority), by sports events and by male and female, on the assumption that ability of rhythmic recognition of athletes will affect on sports performances This applied to the 311 male and female subjects who are students in K college of P.E As the result of the study that researched interrelation between ability of rhythmic recognition by sports events and sports performance. Something that we can know as follows. 1. Ability of rhythmic recognition of superior athletes was remarkably higher than that of inferior athletes. 2. About ability of rhythmic recognition in case of male subjects, takwondo, badminton, fencing, fieldhockey, short distance race, wrestling and ice athletes showed up highly compared with athletes in other fields. But in case of female subjects, athletes in table tennis, fencing, western style archery, short distance and medium distance fields showwed up highly. 3. Interrelation between ability of rhythmic recognition and sports performances by sports events was high in swimming (r=0.56) and throwing(r=0.50). 4. Interrelation between ability of rhythmic rewgnition and sports performances by male and female of each sports showed up highly in female's table tennis(r=0.84),female's western style archery(r=0.60), female's canoe (r=0.76), and female's ice fields(r=0.66), but showed up lowly in other fields.
