타우린 처리를 통한 칼라 기내 식물체 대량증식체계 확립

Zantedeschia spp. calla is very popular as a cut flower. It is very important to establish a micro propagation system through plant tissue culture with the problem that colored calla with various colors are low in natural reproduction rate and vulnerable to high temperature. In this study, we conducted the experiment by adding taurine to improve the growth of calla plant. When 20 mg/L of taurine was added with plant growth effect, 54.0 % of the cases of multiple shoots and 17.2 times of fresh weight were the most effective. Taurine 20 mg/L treatment showed 16.0 % and 39.2 %, respectively, than the untreated control. Taurine may contribute to mass propagation of elite breeding lines as well as an improvement of farm income by positively influencing the overall growth of calla plants, thereby positively affecting the establishment of the micro propagation system of calla shoot tips. 천남성과에 속하는 Zantedeschia spp. 칼라는 절화로서 매우 인기가 높다. 다양한 색상을 지닌 유색칼라는 자연번식률이 낮고 고온에 취약하다는 문제로 식물 조직배양을 통한 대량 증식 체계를 확립하는 것이 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 칼라 기내 식물체의 생육을 향상시키고자 타우린을 첨가하여 실험을 수행하였다. 식물 생장 효과로 타우린을 20 mg/L 첨가했을 때 다신초는 54.0 %의 발생을 보였고, 생체중은 17.2배가 증가하여 가장 높은 효율을 보였다. 식물 생장에 악영향을 주는 갈변화에서는 타우린 20 mg/L 처리구가 16.0 %로 무처리구의 39.2 %보다 약 2배이상의 갈변이 억제된 것을 보였다. 타우린은 전반적인 칼라 식물 생장을 촉진시켜 칼라 경정의 대량 증식체계 확립에 긍정적인 영향을 줌으로써 우량품종의 효율적인 대량증식 및 농가 소득 향상에 도움이 될 것으로 판단된다.

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the associations between physical activity (PA), health-related fitness, and metabolic risk factors in Korean gynecological cancer survivors using propensity score matching. Methods: A cross-sectional analysis was performed using national representative data between 2015 and 2018 from the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES VI3 and VI1–3). PA was self-reported through the global PA questionnaire, and health-related fitness was measured using handgrip strength and resting heart rate. Metabolic risk factors were measured by performing blood analyses, including fasting glucose, total cholesterol, and triglyceride levels, and blood pressure. Results: The total number of subjects was 268 (gynecological cancer, n=134; non-cancer, n=134). The results showed that the gynecological cancer survivors (time since diagnosis, <5 years and ≥5 years) participated in less amounts of weekly total moderate-to-vigorous intensity PA (160.0±170.1 vs. 144.6±177.3 vs. 334.1±191.3 min/wk; p<0.001), travel PA (94.5±119.3 vs. 109.4±143.9 vs. 215.7±170.7 min/wk; p<0.001), and walking (190.7±174.5 vs. 258.8±280.8 vs. 444.5±434.7 min/wk; p<0.001) than did the non-cancer population. Moreover, the gynecological cancer survivors who met the aerobic PA guidelines had significantly lower fasting glucose (p=0.035) and triacylglyceride levels (p=0.013), and systolic blood pressure (p=0.035) than the non-active participants. Conclusion: The PA of the gynecological cancer survivors was lower than that of the general population. Aerobic PA was significantly associated with lower levels of metabolic disturbances in Korean gynecological cancer survivors.

The addition of Sn to Pt/${\gamma}$-$A1_2O_3$ catalyst greatly enhanced the activity and decreased the deactivation rate for the dehydrocyclization of paraffins. For the dehydrocyclization of n-octane, there appeared to be an optimal ratio of Pt:Sn=1:4 for 0.75 wt% Pt/${\gamma}$-$A1_2O_3$ catalyst. The addition of K to Pt/${\gamma}$-$A1_2O_3$ also produced a similar effect on the dehydrocyclization of n-hexane. In the case of n-octane, the addition of K led to a less selective catalyst. 담지된 백금촉매에 주석의 첨가는 포화탄화수소의 탈수소고리화 반응에 대한 촉매의 활성 및 안정도의 현저한 증가를 가져왔다. n-octane의 탈수소고리화 반응에서 0.75wt%의 Pt에 대해 주석의 몰비가 약 4일 때 가장 높은 촉매적 활성을 나타냈다. 또한 K의 첨가도 n-hexane의 탈수소고리화 반응에 대해 주석과 비슷한 효과를 나타내었다. n-octane의 전환반응의 경우에는, K의 첨가 효과가 적게 나타났다.
General Formulation and a New Algorithm of Stereo Matching Based on Bayesian Model

In this paper, the general formula of disparity estimation based on Bayesian Maximum A Posteriori (MAP) algorithm is derived and implemented with simplified probabilistic models. The probabilistic models are independence and similarity among the neighboring disparities in the configuration. The independence probabilistic model guaranteed the discontinuity at the object boundary region, and the similarity model does the continuity or the high correlation of the disparity distribution. The formula is the generalized probabilistic diffusion equation based on Bayesian model, and can be implemented into the some different forms corresponding to the probabilistic models in the disparity neighborhood system or configuration. According to the experimental results, the proposed algorithm outperformed the other ones, such as sum of squared difference (SSD) based algorithm and Scharstein’s method. We can conclude that the derived formula generalizes the probabilistic diffusion based on Bayesian MAP algorithm for disparity estimation, and the proposed probabilistic models are reasonable and approximate the pure joint probability distribution very well with decreasing the computations to 0.01% calculations of the generalized formula.

The complete mitochondrial genome of small sea snail, Chlorostoma lischkei (Tapparone Canefri, 1874) (Gastropoda: Tegulidae) was determined in this study, using Illumina Hiseq sequencing. The mitogenome length was 17,980 bp. Its gene arrangement was similar to that of mitogenome of Tegulids, having 13 protein-coding genes and 2 ribosomal RNAs. However, C. lischkei had 24 tRNA genes with two more tRNAs than others. It had an overall A+T content of 79.7% (27.3% A, 7.5% C, 12.8% G, and 52.4% T). Our results could be used for future taxonomic and evolutionary studies of subclass Vetigastropoda.

A patient with right upper limb weakness was diagnosed with idiopathic polyneuropathy and received a series of Korean Medicine including acupuncture, electroacupuncture, bee venom acupuncture, and administration of herbal medicine BacJung-hwan for 17 days of hospitalization period. The progression of the weakness was measured by Hand grip tester, neuralgia and numbness were measured by the NRS(Numerical Rating Scale) scores. After treatment, the right grip strength improved from 12kg to 35kg and the right upper limb neuralgia of the NRS5 was improved to NRS2. The present case study suggests that the potential effects of Korean Medicine treatment for idiopathic polyneuropathy.
