        유형별 완전혼합사료 급여가 반추위내의 발효성상 및 영양소 소화율에 미치는 영향

        This study was conducted to examine effects of feeding dry TMR(DTMR), wet TMR(WTMR) and fermented TMR(FTMR) on rumen fermentation, enzyme activity and digestibility in the total tract of sheep. Three rumen cannulated sheep were used in a 3 × 3 latin square design. The present results showed that ?, NH_(3)-N, total and individual VFA, A/P ratio and enzymes (CMCase, Xylanase and Protease) activity in the rumen were higher in WTMR and FTMR compared with DTMR. In addition, dry matter, organic matter, crude protein, ether extract, NDF and ADF digestibility in the total tract were also higher in WTMR and FTMR compared with DTMR. Therefore, the present results showed that WTMR and FTMr are better than DTMR for rumen fermentation and nutrients digestibility.

        마우스의 비장에 미치는 7,12-Dimethylbenz[a]anthracene의 면역병리학적 연구

        This study was carried out to investigate the immunopathological effects of 7,12-Dimethylbenz[a]anthracene(DMBA) on spleen in mice. DMBA was administered subcutaneously to BALB/C mice by interscapular single injection of 50 or 100${\mu}g/g$ of body weight. Each DMBA treatment group and additional corn oil control group of mice were studied on day 1,3,7,14 and 21 following the injection of DMBA. DMBA treatment resulted in marked decrease in weights and cellularity of spleen. Spleen weights showed the greatest decrease at 14days after 50${\mu}g/g$ DMBA treatment, and at 21days after 100${\mu}g/g$ DMBA treatment. Spleen cellularity was similarly deceased in comparison with spleen weights. Spleen showed morphologically no typical changes throughout the experiment after 50${\mu}g/g$ DMBA treatment. Following the treatment of 100${\mu}g/g$ DMBA the spleen showed severe fibrosis, hemosiderin precipitation, and megakaryocytes decrease in red pulp at 14 days, while hemopoietic function was partly restored in addition to the appearance of a few megakaryocytes at 21 days. In spleen sections treated with antibodies to IgM or Thy1.2, lymphocytes strongly stained with IgM antibody were infiltrated around the central artery within the white pulp, and T-lymphocytes of periarterial lymphatic sheath (PALS) were diminished and destructed in sections treated with Thy1.2 antibody, at 14 days after the treatment of 100${\mu}g/g$ DMBA. By the electron microscopy phagocytic epithelial cells or macrophages were remarkably increased in spleen at 14and 21days following the treatment of 100${\mu}g/g$ DMBA.

      • 마우스의 골수에 대한 7, 12-Dimethylbenz[a]anthracene의 혈액병리학적 영향에 대한 연구

        This study was carried out to investigate the hematopathological effects of 7, 12-Dimethylbenz[a]anthracene(DMBA) on bone marrow in BALB/C mice. DMBA was administered subcutaneously to mice by interscapular single injection of 50 or 100μg/g of body weight. Each DMBA treatment group and additional corn oil control group of mice were studied on day 1, 3, 7, 14, and 21 following the injection of DMBA. For the examination of hematological changes blood films were stained by Wright stain method. Paraffin sections of femur were stained with hematoxylin & eosin(H & E). The total leukocytes as compared with controls were decreased by 34.8, 38.6, and 20.3% at 7, 14, and 21 days, respectively, after treatment of 50μg/g DMBA, and they were decreased by 38.9, 54.4, 64.5, and 54.0% at 3, 7, 14, and 21 days, respectively, after treatment of 100μg/g DMBA. The blood films showed polychromasia, macrocytosis, poikilocytosis and anisocytosis at 14 days, but most of the polychromatic cells disappeared at 21 days, after treatment of 50μg/g DMBA. Polychromatic cells, Howell-Jolly bodies, basophilic stippling, and giant platelets were remarkably increased at 14 days, but these phenomena disappeared at 21 days, after treatment of 100μg/g DMBA. Neutrophil : lymphocyte(N:L) ratios were 1.03: 1.0 and 1.26: 1.0 at 14 and 21 days, respectively, after treatment of 50μg/g DMBA, while N:L ratios were 0.93:1.0, 0.88: 1.0 and 0.85: 1.0 at 7, 14 and 21 days, respectively, after treatment of 100μg/g DMBA. Femoral sections showed vascular dilatation and congestion at 3 days, and showed severe cellular depletion at 14 days, but the bone marrow cellularity was restored to normal level at 21 days, after 100μg/g DMBA treatment.

DMBA was administered subcutaneously to BALB/C mice by interscapular single injection of 50 or 100 ng/g of body weight. Each DMBA treatment group and additional corn oil control group of mice were studied on day 1, 3, 7, 14 and 21 following the injection of DMBA. DMBA treatment resulted in marked decreases in weights and cellularity of thymus. Thymus weights were decreased by 50.6 and 66.0% at 21 days, respectively, after treatment of 50ng/g and 100 ng/g DMBA.

      • DMBA 투여후 랫트의 조혈기능에 미치는 녹용의 영향에 대한 연구

        This study was carried out to investigate the effects of Cervi Cormu on the hemopoietic functions in Sprague-Dawley rats. 7, 12-Dimethylbenz[a]anthracene(DMBA) was administered subcutaneously to Sprague-Dawley rats by interscapular single injection of 100㎍/g of body weight in order to induce hypofunction of hemopoietic organs. Freeze-dried powder of Cervi Cornu was continuously administered, perorally, as a concentration of 20㎎/200gm B. W. in saline. Experimental and control groups of rats were sacrificed on day 7, 14 and 21 following the injection of DMBA. The results obtained were summarized as follows: Body weights of experimental and control groups showed similar values. Thymus weights of control and deer horn extract(DHE)-treated groups showed similar values, but those of DMBA-treated groups were remarkably decreased in comparison with control groups. Spleen weights of DHE-treated groups were moderately increased comparing to those of control groups, but those of DMBA-treated groups were remarkably decreased in comparision with control groups. RBC numbers of experimental and control groups showed similar values. Hb and Hct in DMBA-treated groups and DHE-treated groups following DMBA treatment were decreased at 3 weeks in comparison with control groups. MCV in DMBA-treated groups were decreased comparing to control groups. MCH and MCHC in experimental and control groups showed similar values. Albumin, BUN, and total protein in experimental and control groups showed similar values. Total cholesterol, alkline phosphatase, and creatinine were decreased in DHE-treated groups comparing to those of control group through the experimental period. SGOT and SGPT were decreased in DHE-treated groups, and those were decreased in DMBA-treated groups and DHE-treated groups following DMBA treatment at 2 and 3 week, comparing to those of control groups.

        Streptozotocin 당뇨(糖尿)마우스의 췌도세포(膵島細胞)에 미치는 Aloe vera의 영향에 대한 병리조직학적(病理組織學的) 연구(硏究)

        This experiment was carried out to investigate the influence of Aloe vera in the pancreatic islets of streptozotocin diabetic mice. Experimental diabetes was induced in ICR mice with a single injection of SZ(140mg/kg body weight, ip). The mice demonstrating hyperglycemia 48 hours after SZ injection were treated for 16 days with Aloe vera(300, 800mg/kg). Plasma glucose was measured, and for morphological studies of the islets specimens were stained with hematoxylin-eosin and by immunocytochemical methods. Then we observed the morphological changes of islets. Polymorphonuclear cells were infiltrated at the periphery of the islets 48 hours after SZ injection in SZ-treated ICR mice, but no prominent WBC infiltration was observed throughout the experiment. Blood glucose in mice treated with Aloe vera after SZ injection was higher than that of SZ injected mice, and mononuclear cells were heavily infiltrated at the islets 16 days after Aloe vera treatment(300mg/kg), and significant islets infiltration of mononuclear cells was observed 30 days after Aloe vera treatment(800mg/kg). Islets of ICR mice treated with Aloe vera after SZ injection showed severer insulitis, degranulation and necrosis of B cells than those of SZ injected mice. These studies indicate that Aloe vera in SZ injected mice increases vascular permeability and number of WBC in pancreatic islets, and potentiates destruction of B cells by cell-mediated immune system.
