The purpose of this study is to identify the factors related to the expansion of Korea’s trade and logistics opportunities into the Indonesian markets. With a view to achieving that purpose, the first hierarchy factors such four factors are identified as an expansion of the incumbent major export products, an expansion of future export products, the construction of logistics infrastructure support and the joint resource development and utilization. Subsequently, the six sub-factors in each of six major areas were identified so that total 24 sub-factors were used for the analysis. By adopting AHP technique, the prioritizing of the 24 sub-factors was determined. The results of AHP analysis showed as follows; Firstly, the trade expansion would be slightly more important than the logistics expansion for the bilateral relationship between Korea and Indonesia. Secondly, the top six factors required for the expansion of Korea’s share in the Indonesian trade and logistics markets included steel products (0.067), mineral fuels (0.066), constructing highways and railroads (0.064), oil and gas development (0.061), electrical machinery (0.52), construction of seaport and airport terminals (0.051). The analytical results have enabled to form the expansion strategies in the Indonesian market which might help overcome the Indonesian restrictive regulatory environments.
