        李箱의 수필 ?倦怠?의 의미망

        Dimensions of “Ennui” by Y-sang Ryu, Yang-seon ‘Ennui' in Y-sang's “Ennui” contains three dimensions of meaning: extreme, wicked, and absolute. The ‘extreme-ennui’ designates a mental state to which even excessive self-consciousness, a typical disease of modern men and women, is blocked away. To an emotion of boredom which has been created by a long enduring poverty and hard labor suffered by peasants, he put the name of ‘wicked ennui’. Lastly, there is ‘absolute ennui’ as what may be called unconcernedness of Nature, an otherworldly stage which we mortals cannot reach. Y-sang's literature embodies a disease of colonial modernity itself. His escape to Tokyo, ventured to relieve himself from the disease by experiencing a real modernity, only drove him to the ‘extreme-ennui’ in which he had no power of finishing his suffering by suicide, for Tokyo was proved pseudo-modern. His essay was possible when he recalled Seungchon and recognized from its memory two other dimensions of ennui, wicked and absolute. This recognition could have reshaped his literary career, for the idea of wicked-ennui could provide him with a historical and societal ground and that of absolute-ennui with an ontological ground. His tragic death, however, ended his struggle for searching a new methodology of creation at the moment of its commencement. 李箱의 倦怠에 나타난 ‘倦怠’는 3가지 意味를 머금고 있다. 첫째로 현대인의 질환인 自意識 過剩조차 閉鎖된 ‘極倦怠’, 둘째로 농민들의 끝없는 가난과 勞役의 다른 이름인 ‘凶惡한 倦怠’, 셋째로 大自然의 무심함, 즉 到達할 수 없는 彼岸으로서의 ‘絶對倦怠’가 그것이다. 李箱의 문학은 식민지적 근대의 질환 그 자체이다. 그는 이 질환에서 벗어나기 위해 東京으로의 탈출을 감행했으나, 模造近代로서의 東京은 그를 자살조차 할 수 없는 ‘極倦怠’로 몰아넣었고, 이 지점에서 그는 成川을 떠올려 ‘凶惡한 倦怠’와 ‘絶對倦怠’를 발견했다. 그의 문학은 成川의 두 권태로부터 다시 출발해야 했다. ‘凶惡한 倦怠’는 그의 문학에 사회적역사적 거점을, ‘絶對倦怠’는 존재론적 거점을 각각 마련해 줄 수 있었다. 그러나 그는 이러한 새로운 창작 방법을 찾는 고투를 시작함과 동시에 죽음을 맞이하고 말았다.

        Sjögren's syndrome is a chronic inflammatory autoimmune disorder characterized by lymphocytic infiltration of the exocrine glands resulting in the classical sicca syndrome of dry eyes, dry mouth and salivary gland enlargement. Interstitial pulmonary fibrosis and tracheobronchial sicca are the most common presentation of pulmonary involvement in primary sjogren's syndrome. However, it is rarely accompanied by serositis such as pleuritis or pericarditis. Also, pleural effusion in primary Sjögren's syndrome has not been reported in korean patient. In this study, 61-year-old female patient had complained dyspnea for 3 months and large amount of bilateral pleural effusion was noted, and was diagnosed of Sjögrens syndrome. Pleural effusion was improved with low dose steroid and Non-Steroid Anti-Inflammatory Drugs. There was no evidence of other connective tissue diseases, infection and malignancy.

        윤동주(尹東柱)의 시(詩)에 나타난 종말의식(終末意識) - 광명중학(光明中學) 시절(時節)의 시편(詩篇)들을 중심(中心)으로 -

        尹東柱는 日帝가 경영하던 龍井의 光明中學을 다니는 동안, 극도로 타락한 非歷史的 時代를 직접 체험하면서 시를 썼다. 이 시기 그의 시편들은 당시의 시대적 어둠으로 인한 內面的 葛藤의 記錄이다. 그는 歷史 속에서 일하시는 하느님의 役事를 믿으면서, 시대적 어둠에 휩쓸리지 않고 자신의 歷史的 位置를 지키며 깨어 있고자 하였다. 타락한 시대가 주는 좌절감을 終末論的 希望으로 극복해 나아갔던 것이다. 光明中學 시절에 시작된 그의 그리스도교적 終末意識은 그의 시를 형성한 基本動因 중의 하나이다. 그의 終末意識은 이후, 연희전문 시절과 東京 유학 시절을 거치면서 더욱 발전하여, 그로 하여금 암울한 시대를 넘어 마침내 殉敎에까지 나아가도록 한 내면적인 힘의 根源이 된다. While attending Gwangmyeong Middle School of Longjing, operated by the Japanese, Yun, Dong-ju directly experienced an era of ahistorical period which was extremely corrupt. Yun’s poems written during this period reflect his covert conflict caused by the darkness of the time. Yun, as he believed the work of God who worked within the history, tried to maintain his historical position and remain enlightened without being overwhelmed by the darkness of the time. He had overcome the challenges of the corrupted era with apocalyptic hope. Yun’s apocalyptic consciousness of Christianity that had been instilled during his time at Gwangmyeong Middle School is one of the fundamental motives that formed his poems. Yun’s apocalyptic consciousness developed even further in the later days as it had become the source of insidious force which made him overcome the dark times and die a martyr for his faith.

        윤동주(尹東柱)의 「바람이 불어」에 나타난 자아(自我) 이해(理解)

        尹東柱는 그의 시 「바람이 불어」(1941.6.2)에서, 倫理的 實存을 넘어 宗敎的 實存으로 跳躍하는 모습을 보여주고 있다. 이 시에서 시인은 主體性을 지닌 윤리적 실존으로서의 자신이 普遍的 倫理를 실현할 수 없다는 것을 告白하며 통절히 뉘우친다. 이 뉘우침 속에 윤리적 실존은 自己矛盾을 드러내며 切望한다. 그러나 이 절망은 새로운 自我를 형성하는 발판이 된다. 시인은 沈默의 祈禱를 통해 무한한 사랑이신 하느님의 말씀을 듣고 진정한 자아를 찾게 되는 것이다. 이렇게 거듭난 자아는 信仰의 決斷을 통해 强化된 새로운 主體性이다. 시인은 마침내 時間 속에서 永遠을 만나는 종교적 실존으로서의 自我를 確立한다. 그리하여 그리스도와의 同時性을 획득하는 바, 이것은 그 자체로 殉敎의 의미를 內包하는 것이다. This essay is an analysis of Yun, Dong-ju’s 「The Wind Is Blowing」, which was written when he was in the first half of graduating class of Yonhee College. In this chapter of his life, within the influence of Kierkegaard's existential philosophy, he established his subjecthood in Christian faith. So, I try to grasp the meaning of leaping from ethical existence to religious existence. 「The Wind Is Blowing」 is largely divided into two parts, the first half being the first to the fourth stanza and latter half being the fifth to the sixth stanza. The first half implies that ethical attitude to life fails when the poetic self sees that he cannot realize the universal. And the latter half portrays the image of religious existence; the poetic self is grounded transparently in God. There is the prayers of the poetic self between ethical existence and religious existence. In the deepest sense prayer is the language of openness, and the language of openness to God is silence. The poetic self comes to realize that true prayer is to wait until he hears the words of God in silence, he becomes conscious of the tremendous gulf between himself and God, finally he accepts himself as a sinner. The fundamental theme of 「The Wind Is Blowing」 is the meaning of personal existence, ultimately, the problem of becoming a Christian. The poetic self-accepts the paradox that God, the Eternal, has become incarnate in a particular individual man, Jesus, in time. Finally, the poet stands where time and eternity meet, in this sense he is contemporary of Christ, and his faith is martyrdom in itself.

        5-FU, Cisplatin 사용 후 발생한 방사선 회상 근염 1예

        Radiation recall phenomenon is an inflammatory reaction which occurs at a previously irradiated area after the administration of causative agents, especially anticancer drugs. Radiation recall mostly involves skin and rarely affects internal organs. We, hereby, report a rare case of radiation recall myositis. A 51-years-old man visited the hospital due to pain and weakness of the left thigh. He had been diagnosed with a skin metastasis of pancreatic adenocarcinoma, at the left thigh and treated with radiotherapy and subsequent combination chemotherapy of 5-FU and cisplatin. After the 5th cycle of chemotherapy, the patient developed pain and weakness localized at the previous radiation field. An MRI revealed myositis of left gluteus medius muscle. Muscle biopsy showed no malignant cells or signs of infection. He was diagnosed as having radiation recall myositis and treated with steroid and NSAID. Soon after, pain and weakness gradually improved. Although rare, a possibility of radiation recall myositis should be considered when a patient with history of radiotherapy has a myopathy.
