        너무 빨리 어른이 되어야만 하는 아이들: 코로나19 시대 아동양육시설 청소년의 진로와 자립 준비과정

        The aim of this study is to understand the career and self-reliance preparation process of adolescents living in child rearing facilities separated from the original family. Eleven female teenagers under the age of 14-18 who are currently living in child rearing facilities were selected as research participants. Data collection was conducted through individual interviews from February 2020 to May 2021. To examine the career and self-reliance preparation process experienced by facility youth, 119 concepts were derived through the micro-analysis by Strauss and Corbin (1998). Concepts were combined and classified into 13 categories and 41 subcategories. The results are as follows. The situation of the COVID-19 crisis had a more negative effect on the overall life and career and self-reliance preparation of facility youth. However, adolescents in some facilities were complacent about facility life and did not recognize the necessity for career and self-reliance preparation. Continuous monitoring and follow-up management are required. Adolescents in facilities faced independence at an early age and were tasked with career decisions earlier than others in the same age range and preparing for independent living. However, there were some adolescents who experienced personal development and growth during the preparation process of career and self-reliance like their peers. This study will be used as basic data for the planning and development of career and self-reliance preparation education and programs for youth in the out-of-home protection system.

        깨치며 나아가는 대안학교 학생들의 이야기: 자발적으로 공립 대안학교에 진학한 학생들의 학교생활 경험을 중심으로

        The purpose of this study is to understand the school life experiences of students attending public alternative schools. To this end, eight second-year high school students in public alternative schools were selected as research participants. Data collection was conducted through individual interviews using a semi-structured interview questionnaire from August to October 2022, and the interview contents were recorded and transcribed for analysis. The interview data was classified into 15 sub-categories and 5 categories through the micro-analysis suggested by Strauss and Corbin(1998). The five categories derived from the analysis are ‘Life at a previous school where I was unable to live as my full self’, ‘Knocking on the door of an alternative school’, ‘School life that made me discover the hidden self’, ‘A world in the classroom where harmony was difficult as everyone was different’, and ‘Challenges left for the alternative school’. It is expected that the results of this study will be used as basic data for planning and development of programs to help students in public alternative schools adapt to school life and as educational materials for alternative school teachers and parents.

        주거빈곤이 자아존중감과 우울에 미치는 영향: 비장애인, 장애인 비교를 중심으로

        Objectives: Recently, the preparatory stages for the deinstitutionalization of housing policies for persons with disabilities have been actively discussed, but studies provide evidence that the options for persons with disabilities are severely limited. Methods: In this study, using data from the 15th Korean Welfare Panel, chi-square test were conducted on a total of 10,347 people to determine how the poor housing of people with and without disabilities affects esteem and causes depression. Multiple regression analysis was also used to analyze the factors affecting them of key control variables. Results: Poor housing had a detrimental effect on esteem and caused depression in both people with and without disabilities, but people with disability were particularly vulnerable. Among the housing factors, only the minimum housing standard had a significant effect on them in the people without disabilities. However, both the minimum housing standard and the burden of housing costs had significant effects on the self-esteem and caused depression in the people with disabilities. Conclusion: This study analyzed the different effects of poor housing on esteem and depression in people without and without disabilities, and suggested that the factors affecting them differ according to each group’s characteristics. Therefore, this study is meaningful in that it presents data to support the efficient promotion of mental health projects that fit the characteristics of the subjects.

        학령 후기 아동의 또래관계 및 자아존중감이 주관적 안녕감에 영향을 미치는 경로

        This study examined the various pathways from peer relationships to subjective well-being through self-esteem in late childhood. A total of 354 fifth and sixth grade students in elementary school (189 boys and 165 girls) participated in the study. Peer relationships were assessed using the peer rating scale, and self-esteem and subjective well-being were measured using the self-rating scales. The data were analyzed by means of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Children`s peer relationships affected their subjective well-being directly, as well as indirectly through their self-esteem. Positive relations with peers enabled children to improve their subjective well-being. In addition, those children who possessed good relationships with peers were more likely to perceive themselves as worthy, which led to higher overall levels of happiness and satisfaction in their lives. The study emphasizes the crucial influence of self-esteem on school-aged children`s subjective well-being.

        지역아동센터 만족도가 지역아동센터 이용 아동의 주관적 안녕감에 미치는 영향: 긍정적 자아관, 일상적 스트레스의 매개적 역할을 중심으로

        본 연구의 목적은 지역아동센터를 이용하는 초등학교 6학년 아동의 지역아동센터 만족도가 주관적 안녕감에 미치는 직접적인 영향과 긍정적 자아관 및 일상적 스트레스를 통해 주관적 안녕감에 미치는 간접적 영향을 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위해 지역아동센터 아동패널 2기 중 제3차(2016년)에 조사된 자료를 활용하여 지역아동센터를 이용하고 있는 초등학교 6학년 아동 662명(남아: 325명, 여아: 337명)을 대상으로 측정한 지역아동센터 만족도와 긍정적 자아관, 일상적 스트레스, 주관적 안녕감의 자료를 사용하였다. 자료는 AMOS 22.0 프로그램을 이용하여 구조방정식 모형(Structural Equation Modeling: SEM)을 분석하였다. 그 결과, 지역아동센터 만족도는 주관적 안녕감에 직접적인 영향을 미쳐 지역아동센터에 만족도가 높을수록 주관적 안녕감을 높게 지각하였다. 또한, 지역아동센터 만족도는 긍정적 자아관 및 일상적 스트레스를 통해 간접적으로도 영향을 미쳤다. 즉, 지역아동센터 만족도가 높을수록 자아를 긍정적으로 인식하게 되고, 스트레스 수준은 낮았으며 주관적 안녕감이 높아졌다. 본 연구는 지역아동센터를 이용하는 아동의 주관적 안녕감에 영향을 미치는 요인으로서 지역아동센터 만족도와 긍정적 자아관, 일상적 스트레스를 동시에 고려했다는 점에서 의의가 있으며, 본 연구결과는 지역아동센터를 이용하는 아동의 주관적 안녕감을 향상시킬 수 있는 프로그램 개발의 기초자료로 활용될 것으로 기대된다. The main purpose of this study was to examine the effects of community child center satisfaction on children’s subjective well-being and the mediating effects of positive self and daily hassles. To achieve this, a total of 662 6<SUP>th</SUP> grade elementary school children (325 boys and 337 girls), using survey on Community Child Center Panel, were utilized and all variables were assessed by means of self reporting by the children involved. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), making use of AMOS 22.0. As a result, the level of child satisfaction with community child centers affected their subjective well-being directly; meaning higher levels of satisfaction with community child centers led to higher subjective well-being. Additionally, the level of child satisfaction with community child centers affected their subjective well-being indirectly through their positive self and daily hassles. In other words, the higher the satisfaction level with community child centers, the more positive self images were observed, and the lower the stress levels, which in turn led to higher overall levels of happiness and satisfaction in their lives. These findings have implications for research and practice by emphasizing the crucial influences of community child center satisfaction and positive self image, and daily hassles on children’s subjective well-being. Moreover, the results of this study are expected to be used as a basic data for developing programs that can improve children’s subjective well-being in community child centers.

        어머니의 양육행동이 학령 초기 아동의 스마트폰 과의존에 미치는 영향: 아동의 자기통제력의 매개효과

        본 연구는 아동의 개인 외적 변인 가운데 어머니의 양육행동과 개인 내적 변인 가운데 자기통제력이 학령 초기 아동의 스마트폰 과의존에 어떠한 경로로 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보았다. 구체적으로는 온정, 논리적 설명, 개입, 강압, 방임 등과 같은 어머니의 양육행동이 아동의 스마트폰 과의존에 미치는 직접적 영향과 아동의 자기통제력을 통한 간접적 영향을 확인해보았다. 이를 위해 초등학교 1∼3학년 아동 411명(남아: 214명, 여아: 197명)과 그들의 어머니들을 연구대상으로 하였으며, 어머니의 보고를 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 PROCESS macro version 3.4의 Model 4를 이용하여 분석하였다. 온정, 논리적 설명, 개입, 강압, 방임 등 어머니의 양육행동을 독립변인으로, 아동의 자기통제력을 매개변인으로, 아동의 스마트폰 과의존을 종속변인으로 설정하여 분석한 결과, 어머니의 양육행동의 5가지 하위요인들은 모두 학령 초기 아동의 스마트폰 과의존에 직접적으로 영향을 미치지 않았다. 어머니의 양육행동 가운데 온정, 논리적 설명, 개입 및 강압은 학령 초기 아동의 자기통제력을 매개로 학령 초기 아동의 스마트폰 과의존에 간접적으로만 영향을 미쳤다. 즉, 어머니가 온정이나 논리적 설명을 많이 보일수록 또는 개입이나 강압을 적게 보일수록 아동은 높은 자기통제력을 발달시켰으며, 이는 아동이 스마트폰 과의존을 덜 나타내는 것으로 연결되었다. 유아기를 거치면서 아동은 부모로부터 받은 양육을 내면화하여 점차 스스로 자신의 행동을 조절하거나 통제하는 능력을 발달시키게 되므로, 학령 초기 이후에는 스마트폰 사용과 관련하여 양육행동보다 자신의 자기통제력이 상대적으로 더 중요해짐을 알 수 있다. 본 연구는 학령 초기 아동의 스마트폰 과의존을 예방하거나 감소시키기 위해 우선적으로 아동에게 스스로를 조절하고 통제할 수 있는 능력이 요구됨을 강조하며, 이와 동시에 아동이 이러한 능력을 기르기 위해서는 부모의 긍정적 양육이 수반되어야 함을 실증적으로 밝혔다. 본 연구의 결과가 학령 초기 아동의 스마트폰 과의존을 예방하거나 경감시키고자 노력하고 있는 교육 및 상담 현장에서 기초자료로 잘 활용되기를 기대한다. This study examined the effect of maternal parenting behaviors and children’s self-control on early elementary school children’s smartphone overdependence. Specifically, this study confirmed the direct effect of maternal parenting behaviors such as warmth, reasoning, intrusiveness, coercion, and neglect on children’s smartphone overdependence and also the indirect effect through children’s self-control. A total of 411 mothers rearing first to third grade elementary school children (214 boys and 197 girls) responded to questionnaires on their parenting behaviors, their children’s self-control and smartphone overdependence. The collected data were analyzed using model 4 of PROCESS macro version 3.4. As a result, it was revealed that among the sub-factors of maternal parenting behaviors, warmth, reasoning, intrusiveness, and coercion only indirectly affected children’s smartphone overdependence through children’s self-control. In other words, children developed higher levels of self-control as their mothers showed more warmth and reasoning or less intrusiveness and coercion, which led to children’s less dependence on smartphones. Since children gradually develop the ability to control their own behavior through parenting behaviors, the results of this study suggest that children’s self-control becomes relatively more important than parenting behaviors in relation to smartphone use from the beginning of school age.

        청소년의 중간체계환경이 주관적 행복감에 미치는 영향: 공동체 소속감의 매개적 역할을 중심으로

        The main purpose of this study is to examine the effects of the mesosystem on adolescents’ subjective well-being and the mediating effect of sense of community, using the 2017 survey on the Korean Child-Youth Well-Being Index. A total of 5,050 adolescents(2,472 boys and 2,578 girls) were included and all variables were assessed with adolescents' self-reports. The correlation coefficients between the variables were measured using SPSS 23.0 and the data were analyzed by means of structural equation modeling(SEM) using AMOS 23.0. The adolescents’ mesosystem affected their subjective well-being directly, as well as indirectly through their sense of community. Positive relations with the mesosystem enabled the adolescents to improve their subjective well-being. In addition, those adolescents who perceived higher levels of the mesosystem were more likely to feel that they belong to the community, which led to higher overall levels of happiness and satisfaction in their lives. These findings have implications for research and practice by emphasizing the crucial influences of the mesosystem and the sense of community on adolescents’ subjective well-being. Also, the results suggest that in order to improve the subjective well-being of adolescents in the counseling and education field, it is necessary to focus on the positive perception of the community, activating communication among the members of the community, and forming a positive relationship.

        위기청소년의 자살 생각 및 시도에 영향을 미치는 요인: 폭력 피해 및 심리·정서적 요인을 중심으로

        This study examined how the experiences of violence among at-risk youths impact on suicidal ideation and suicide attempts, and what psychological and emotional factors are involved. To this end, the data of 2,866 users of at-risk youth support institutions for analysis were collected from the Survey of Users of At-risk Youth Support Institutions conducted in 2021. A binomial logistic regression analysis was conducted to identify the factors affecting the suicidal ideation and suicide attempts of at-risk youths. The results reveals that gender, the experience of verbal abuse during child abuse, the experience of online human rights violations, the experience of sexual assault trauma, the issue of self-esteem, self-control, and perception of life are major factors influencing suicidal ideation. In addition, in terms of the examination the factors affecting suicide attempts based on groups that had suicidal ideation but did not made suicide attempts, it was found that school attendance, online human rights infringement experiences, sexual assault trauma, and self-esteem affect suicide attempts. Based on these findings, practical and policy alternatives for suicide prevention of at-risk youths were suggested.
