        쉼터노숙자와 무거주노숙자의 가족지지, 자존심 및 삶의 만족도에 관한 연구 : The Relationships between Institutionalized Residents and Noninstitutionalized Residents

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation of family support, self-esteem and life-satisfaction in homeless persons and to provide basic data to help them attain a better quality of life. From Jul. 1 to Oct. 10, 2000, 235 homeless persons, registered at the noninstitutionalized homeless and institutionalized homeless in Seoul, Were accepted as subjects for the study. The instruments used for this study were a Family support scale of Park, Jee Won, life-satisfaction scale of Wood, Wylie& Sheafer and Rosenberg's Self-esteem Scale. The reliability of the scales were tested by Cronsbach's Alpha. The collected data Were analyzed by the SPSS program using unpaired t-test and Pearson's Correlation Coefficients. The results were as follows ; 1. There Was a statistically significant difference in the level of demographic between family support groups for the homeless at institutionalized residents : age (t=2.23, p=.028), education background (=5.53, p=.005), present illness(t=1.97, p=.052). emotion states(t=2.94, p=.041). 2. There Was a statistically significant difference in the level of demographic between family support groups for the homeless at noninstitutionalized residents : types of disease(t=1.55, p=.161). 3. There Was a statistically significant difference in the level of demographic between self-esteem groups for the homeless at institutionalized residents : types of disease(t=3.23, p=.004). 4. There Was a statistically significant difference in the level of demographic between self-esteem groups for the homeless at noninstitutionalized residents : use of drugs(t=-3.23 p= .002), types of disease(t=3.23, p=.004). 5. There Was a statistically significant difference in the level of demographic between life-satisfaction groups for the homeless at institutionalized residents : education background (t=3.11, p= .048), types of disease(t=3.40, p=.007), emotion states(t=4.93, p=.004). 6. There Was a statistically significant difference in the level of demographic between life-satisfaction groups for the homeless at noninstitutionalized residents : smoking (t=-2.31, p= .023), types of disease(t=2.07, p= .041), emotion states (t= 2.81, p= .049). 7. There was a positive correlation between family support and self-esteem for the institutionalized homeless and it was statistically significant (r=.443, p= .001). 8. There was a positive correlation between family support and life-satisfaction for the homeless at institutionalized residents and it was statistically significant (r= .389, p=.001). 9. There was a positive correlation between life-satisfaction and self-esteem for the homeless at institutionalized residents and it was statistically significant (r=.217, p= .02). 10. There wasn't a correlation family support, self-esteem and life-satisfaction for the homeless at noninstitutionalized residents and it was statistically nonsignificant.

        지역사회 정신보건법의 적용을 위한 정신전문 간호사의 준비과정 및 대응전략

        The final destination of the mental health care is to make the patient recover his productive social skill, forcusing on his social rehabilitation, with the basic goal of avoiding unnecessary hospitalized treatment and removing of the symptom. It also aims to strengthen the community-based mental treatment, avoiding hospitalized treatment as much as possible, thus balancing and connecting the two strategies. For hospitalized treatment should be practised only in necessary cases and partial hospitalization should be activated. As for hospitalization facilities, they should be restricted in size suitable for the treatment of patient. Mental Health Law is the nation's effort to provide best treatment for the patients who cannot make effort to enhance the quality of life which proper treatment for himself. In this task Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner(PMHNP) plays an important role, together with mental illness specialist, in prevention and treatment of mental illness, mental health consulting as well as social rehabilitation of the patient. In this sense the role of PMHNP as a highly specialized personnel, must not be underestimated. In this study, the researcher tries to suggest how to widen the role of PMHNP and how to prepare for that. To approach the goal of this research, this thesis studies closely the role of the nurse, diving it into three-1) role in general, 2) role in particular in each section, 3) role as a case manger-and suggests its orientation. It also suggests the nursing management of chronic mental illness patient and the estimation and tasks of mental health nursing. The suggestions about the impending tasks of community-based mental health care in this thesis are hoped to contribute to settling the activity of PMHNP who is inevitable for the mental health of the community people.

        노숙자의 삶의 경험 : 시설 노숙자를 중심으로

        Purpose: The purpose of this study is to describe the psychological aspects of experiences of men living in a homeless shelter in Seoul. This study focused on understanding about the life of the homeless in the shelter by Phenomenological method. Method: The participants in this study were seven men who are living in a homeless shelter in Seoul. The following data were collected though the in-depth interviews and analyzed by the Phenomenological analytic method of Giorgi. Result: There are five focal significances about the life of the homeless. (1) Unplanned life : Difficult life comes from outside situation, Freedom, The acceptance of unconsciousness life, Laziness, Unreliability, The dissolute life, No purpose to life, Relying on drinking, (2) Self-rationalization : Feeling of defeat, Give up, Desire for a support system, Lack of willingness, Anxiety, Chivalry, Falsehoods, (3) Superficial Interpersonal Relationships : Ignorance, Pressure, Discord, Hiding from one anther, avoidance. (4) A sense of devestation : Negative perspective, Mental weakness, Difficulties in employment, ambivalance with social structure, The place to escape, Complaining against the opposite sex, Sense of regret, Lack of relationship with family, The lack of self-confidence, Loss of volition (5) The Hope of new life : Realization, Desire for change, Dreaming of married life, Dependence in God Conclusion: The conclusion of this study shows that the men in the shelter had various psychological reasons for being in the homeless shelter. Further studies need to be done to validate this information and formulate ways to assist these men with their psychological needs.

        지역사회 정신보건 재활간호사업이 만성정신질환자가 지각한 가족지지에 미치는 영향

        This study was designed to determine the effects of community based mental health rehabilitation program on perceived family support of mentally ill patients. Quasi experimental design, single group repeated measure, was used to carry out the research The subjects were consisted of 6 chronic mentally ill patients who lived with their family members in the community and participated in community based mental health rehabilitation program of Seungbuk Pubic Health Center. The instruments used for this study was 20 items of family support scale, which was developed by Ji Won Park(1985) and revised by the researchers to 5 likert type scale. The data were gathered from August 1. 1996 to August 31. 1997, and analyzed using paired t-test and one way ANOVA with SPSS PC. The results of this study were as follow : The main hypothesis 'There will be differences in the score of perceived family support measured by (six month intervals) of mentally ill patients participated in the community based mental health rehabilitation program' was rejected(F=3.356, p=.557) The subhypothesis 1 'There will be a differences in the score of perceived family support between the first months' : the subhypothesis 2 'There will be difference in the score of same scale between the second six months' : and the subhypotheis 3 'There will b a difference in the score of same scale and after 12 months of the participation in community based mental health rehabilitation program were all rejected(t=1.26 p=.220, t=-.49 p=.627, t=-1.49 p=.149)'.

        지역사회 정신보건 재활간호 사업기간이 재가 만성정신질환자가 지각한 가족지지에 미치는 영향

        This study was designed to determine the effects of community based mental health rehabilitation program on perceived family support of mentally ill patients. The subjects were consisted of 26 chronic men tally ill patients who lived with their family members in the community and participated in community based mental health rehabilitation program of Seungbuk Public Health Center. The instruments used for this study was 20 items of family support scale, which was developed by Ji Won Park(1985) and revised by researchers to 5 likert type scale. The data were gathered from August 1. 1996 to February 28. 1998, and analyzed using paired t-test and one way ANOVA with SPSS PC. The results of this study were as follows. The hypothesis 1 'There will be a difference in the score of perceived family support between before and after the first six months.' the hypothesis 2(between before and after the second six months), the hypothesis 3(after the first six months and after the second six months), the hypothesis 5(between after the first six months and after the third six months), and the hypothesis 6(between after the second six months and after the third six months), participating in community based mental health rehabilitation program were all rejected. The hypothesis 4 'There will be difference in the score of perceived family support between before and after the score of perceived family support between before and after the third six months, 'participating in community based mental health renabilitation program were supported.
