체중조절교육프로그램이 여대생의 체중 및 식습관에 미치는 영향

This study was performed to evaluate a nutrition counseling program for weight control. A total of 13 subjects were recruited and a change in subject's BMI, blood lipids and dietary habits was observed during the program. Four subjects were dropped out, and 6 subjects with normal weight and 7 subjects with overweight or obesity completed the 20-week program. At baseline, mean values of BMI were 20.7 in normal weight group and 26.3 in overweight or obesity group, those of blood TG were 210.2mg/dl and 225.5mg/dl, respectively, and blood cholesterol levels were normal in both groups. There was no significant change in BMI and blood cholesterol levels after the completion of the program while blood TG decreased to 114.7mg/dl and 132.0mg/dl, respectively. After completion of the program, subjects in overweight or obesity group were observed to have a meal more regularly and to consume salty foods, sweets, meats and snack less compared to baseline level and the meal size decreased but the difference was not significant. According to study results, the 20-week nutrition counseling program for weight control seemed to have effects on blood TG level and to improve dietary habits of subjects with overweight or obesity. For efficacy of the program, long term motivation strategies based on personality and behavioral characteristics of subjects were required.
