The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between the sense of national community and the ethnic identity according to the participation of traditional leisure sports of Sunamchon in China. To achieve this purpose, a total of 131 Sunamchon residents were selected as research participants, using the convenience sampling method. The collected data were tested for validity and reliability, and analyzed with correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The findings of this study were as follows; First, satisfaction with traditional leisure sports participation had an impact on the interchangeability, which is a subcomponent of the sense of national community. Second, it showed that the satisfaction of participation in traditional leisure sports affected all of the subcultures of ethnic identity, using national languages, maintaining national education, and preserving national heritage. Third, among the subcultures of the ethnic identity, the interchangeability has influenced the using national language and national heritage.
