      • 시각적인 대중매체로써의 Photojournalism

양종훈 상명대학교 논문집 1993 상명대학교논문집 Vol.31 No.-

Photojournalism! "There were two things I wanted to do. I wanted show the things that had to be corrected. I wanted to show the things that had to be oppreciated." - Lewis Hine- "The art of photography is a dynamic process of giving form to ideas and explaining man to men" -Edward Steichen- Photojournalism is not a medium that can be defined in one tidy sentence. It is the interplay of word, dong the job only words can do, against the photograph, which speaks to us with a universal visual language. The visual language crosses cultures, political divisions, and time. Whereas words are open to differing interpreations and require a certain level of literacy for their use, photographs can be understood by anyone, regardless of verbal literacy. The power of this photography language is demonstrated by the fact that taking pictures is restricted more often then taking notes. The photograph captures time freezes motion , and reveals the invisible with unmatchable reader what was there, clearly, quickly, and without mystery, confusion orddle. The photographs used in photojournalism are different from those we might take for ourselves. Journalistic photos are intended to convey facts and information, not the personal feelings or inner thoughts of the photographer. The cultivation of a news sense is important for the photojournalist, and it begins with an understanding of basic news values: prominence, proximity, timeliness, consequence, conflict, and the bizarre. The pictures we take and the words that go with them are used in many ways. The most common and obvious is the daily newspaper. Papers have staffs of photographers who supply an anending appetite for fresh, timely material. Other users include news magazines, special-interest magazines, and the thousand of other publications that need "nonfiction" photos, from trade magazines to textbooks and company publications. All of these users depend, in varying degress, on wire services and picture agencies for material. Wire services have harge staffs of photographers, and they supply newspapers with a daily stream of photos from around the world. Picture agencies have smaller staffs and tend to specialize in their coverage. In conclusion, the word photojournalism also indicates what is required of us. We must be both a photographer and a journalist. We must be a master of the technical and visual means of communicating with a camera, and must also have the instincts of a reporter for news value, emphasis, and significance. And ideally, we should be able to use both communicative toolswords and pictures. Although, this thesis will emphasize the development of our visual skills. It is extremely difficult to wear two has while reporting a story, but you should know what is required of both the writer and photographer, the strengths and limitations of words and pictures, and how both elements are created and used.

        제주 조랑말(1)

        양종훈 한국사진학회 2000 AURA Vol.7 No.1

Cheju Island is famous for horses, especially ponies, so there are many proverbs concerning horses on Cheju Island. They say 'after giving birth to a child, to Seoul and after giving birth to a horse, to Cheju'. About the time when spring comes to Cheju, the southern island of Korea, and all the whole fields and mountains start getting green, the pony begins to jump into the wide grassy plain from his stable. The activities of the pony, running and jumping freely on the field looks peaceful, vivid, and even beautiful. This may be one of the most fantastic, magnificent views that you will ever experence. The environment for breeding cattle is better than any other place. Horses are raised around Halla mountain between the 1,000 to 3,000 meter level. The Cheju horse is classified as an oriental breeding horse, specifically a dwarf horse among the oriental ones. The Cheju horse, or pony's body is smaller than the southeast Asia's and much smaller than the Mongol's. But the Cheju horse, or pony has a strong physical constitution owing to being accustomed to the special environment of Cheju for a long time. The Cheju horse is known as a stiff, native one overcoming tough breeding and grazing conditions throughout the year. Especially, the Cheju pony has strong, compact hoofs and is able to endure the poor environment of the middle area of the Halla mountain filled with many base rocks and crags. A horse is a useful animal even after death as well as in life. The horse helps men pull carriages, carry luggage, plowing and so on during his life. After death the horse also leaves meat, oil, bone, leather, and horsehair, etc for humans to use for daily necessities, food for beauty and health, even curative means and various other things.

        양종훈,이동원,김양훈,현명택,김신 濟州大學校 産業技術硏究所 1998 산업기술연구소논문집 Vol.9 No.1

The natural convection driven by a thermal buoyancy force was investigated in a square cavity. The top and bottom walls are cold and hot. respectively. while the vertical boundaries are adiabatic. A control volume approach with a power-law scheme was used to formulate the finite difference equations. The results are presented isotherms. velocity vectors, Nusselt numbers and critical Rayleigh numbers for the ranges of Ra = 1750~20000 and Pr = 0.05~10.0. The critical Rayleigh number increases as Prandtl number decreases. There exists a clockwise unicell flow near critical Rayleigh number, while two cells appear for large Rayleigh number.

The purpose of this study was to understand what influence Sport Events Hoding of the Locals on Community Attachment, Local's Awareness and Continuous Participation. The instrument for data collection was a questionnaire in which Community Attachment Scale as translated by Kang(2001), Local's Awareness Scale as translated by Lee(2009), Continuous Participation Scale as translated by Shin(2012). 300 subjects were selected from the sport events participants of the Locals in the seoul & gyungki by the stratified cluster sampling method. Among these selected subjects, 289 responded, and data analyses consisted of employing frequency analysis, factor analysis, one-way ANOVA, Multiple correlation, Multiple Regression Analysis using SPSS/PC+ version 15.0. The following results were obtained:1. It was found that community attachment of sport events participants of the locals has an influence on local's awareness. 2. It was found that community attachment of sport events participants of the locals has an influence on continuous participation. 3. It was found that local's awareness of sport events participants of the locals has an influence on continuous participation.
