허치슨의 도덕감과 도덕적 승인 -『아름다움 및 덕 관념의 기원에 대한 탐구』를 중심으로-

The aim of this article is an analysis of Hutcheson’s theory, with an emphasis on a moral sense in An Inquiry into the Original of Our Ideas of Beauty and Virtue. To facilitate understanding of the controversy centered around the views of Hobbes, Shaftesbury, Manderville, and Hutcheson, it seems necessary to examine the problem of the moral sense. The sharp contrast between egoism and altruism is enhanced by Hutcheson. Taking into account the moral theory of Hutcheson in Inquiry, we can conclude that: First, Hutcheson accepted Locke’s epistemology and added the moral sense to a reflexive sense. It reveals that the morality has a strong association with the natural feeling of humans. Second, Hutcheson criticized egoism as he argued at length that moral approval is a disinterested response to the world. The major purposes of Inquiry are defense about Shaftesbury and criticism about Manderville. He emphasized frequently that we necessarily love and approve a virtuous person without any regard to our future interests. Third, Hutcheson tried to show that individual virtue greatly redounds to the public good by computing the morality of actions. In this regard, he had utilitarian aspects. But ‘the greatest happiness for the greatest numbers’ of him is not the end to be achieved but the instrument to demonstrate the maximum quantity of morality. 허치슨은 도덕감이라는 용어를 처음 사용한 샤프츠베리와 영국 철학사에서 가장 중요한 철학자 중 한 사람으로 간주되는 흄에 가려서 그 사상적 중요성이 간과되곤 한다. 하지만 샤프츠베리가 도덕감을 처음 사용했을지라도 그 사용이 임의적이었던 것에 반해, 허치슨은 도덕감을 체계적으로 해명하려고 시도한다. 허치슨은 도덕감을 처음으로 이론적으로 체계화한 도덕감정론자로서 당대 학계에 큰 영향을 미쳤고, 흄의 윤리학 또한 허치슨의 이론을 크게 반영하고 있다는 점은 유의할 만하다. 허치슨의 특징을 정리하면, 첫째, 허치슨은 로크의 감관과 반성의 구분을 받아들이고 거기에 미감과의 유비적 설명을 통해 자신의 도덕감을 추가한다. 이는 도덕적 행위 여부를 이성이 판단하는 것이 아닌 일종의 감관과 같은 능력에서 수동적으로 지각하는 것이라 규정함으로써 도덕이 인간의 자연스런 감정과 직접적으로 연관된 것임을 보여준다. 둘째, 허치슨은 심리적 이기주의를 비판한다..『탐구』의 주된 목적은 샤프츠베리의 옹호와 맨더빌에 대한 비판이다. 따라서 그는 도덕성의 판단이 이익과 무관한 도덕적 정서에 의존한다고 주장한다. 셋째, 허치슨은 개인의 덕이 공공선에 크게 이바지 한다는 것을 도덕성의 산정을 통해 보이려 한다. 이런 점에서 그는 공리주의적 면모도 지니지만, 공리주의자와 달리 최대 다수의 최대 행복을 목표가 아니라 최대한의 도덕성을 발휘하기 위한 수단으로 삼는다.

Changes in Spherical Aberration after Various Corneal Surface Ablation Techniques

Purpose: The corneal change induced by refractive procedures influence both the postoperative refractive status and the ocular spherical aberration (SA). We evaluated changes in corneal SA after three types of surface ablation: phototherapeutic keratectomy (PTK), myopic photorefractive keratectomy (PRK), and myopic wavefront-guided laser epithelial keratomileusis (LASEK). Methods: Twenty-six eyes (25 patients) were subjected to PTK 26 eyes (14 patients) to PRK, and 34 eyes (17 patients) to wavefront-guided LASEK. Corneal SA was measured with the iTrace in all patients both preoperatively and 6 months postoperatively. Results: Six months after surgery, mean corneal SA was -0.173 ± 0.171 μm in the PTK group, 0.672 ± 0.200 μm in the PRK group, and 0.143 ± 0.136 μm in the wavefront-guided LASEK group. The mean difference between the preoperative and postoperative corneal SA (ΔSA) was -0.475 μm in the PTK group, 0.402 μm in the PRK group, and -0.143 μm in the wavefront-guided LASEK group. Conclusions: Surgically induced changes in corneal SA vary with procedure. The prediction of the pattern of SA change induced by various surface ablation procedures may be helpful for developing future surgical procedures.

Synthesis of Radioiodinated Carbocyclic Cytosine Analogues

The synthesis of carbocyclic analogues of normal nucleosides has grown exclusively since they have shown potential antiviral and antitumor activities. Radiolabeled cis-1-[4-(hydroxy-methyl)-cyclopent-2-enyl]-5-[^(124)I]-iodocytosine (carbocyclic d4IC) and cis-1-[4-(hydroxy-methyl)-cyclopent-2-enyl]-5-(2-[^(124)I]iodovinyl)cytosine (carbocyclic d4IVC) were synthesized. The synthetic route employed Pd(0)-catalyzed coupling reaction together with organotin and exchange reaction for radioiodination as key reactions. Carbocyclic [^(124)I]d4IC gave more than 75% radiochemical yield with greater than 95% radiochemical purity. Carbocyclic [^(124)I]d4IVC gave more than 80% radiochemical yield with greater than 95% radiochemical purity.

샤프츠베리의 도덕감 이론 연구: 『덕 또는 공적에 대한 탐구』를 중심으로

Shaftesbury synthesized various theories of his time, either traditional or new, through a framework called The Theory of Moral Sense. As a rationalist, Shaftesbury argues for the harmony of the objective world and the individual in his An Inquiry Concerning Virtue or Merit, and as an sentimentalist, he talks about the harmony of the subjective inner feelings of the individual. Shaftesbury opposes the psychological egoists and voluntarists, but accepts some of their arguments. These influence each other and show his philosophical base and spectrum. In part, the influence of prominent philosophers such as Locke and Hobbes is clearly evident, but his philosophical significance that inspires other philosophers can be said to be distinct from their claims. 샤프츠베리는 당대의 전통적이거나 새로운 다양한 이론들을 도덕감이라는 틀을 통해 종합하였다. 샤프츠베리는 덕 또는 공적에 대한 탐구 에서 이성주의자로서 객관적인 세계와 개인의 조화를 주장하고, 감정론자로서 개인의 주관적인 내면 감정들의 조화를 이야기한다. 주요 내용을 정리하면 첫째, 샤프츠베리는 인간의 본성적인 정서가 공공선을 증진하고자 하는 정서라고 주장한다. 인간은 사적 선을 추구하는 본성을 지니고 있지만, 이 사적 선의 추구는 세계의 조화라는 질서 속에서 공공선의 추구와 불가분리적인 관계를 맺고 있으므로, 인간의 본성적인 정서는 세계의 질서와 조화를 이루는 공공선의 증진이 된다. 둘째, 샤프츠베리는 체계의 선을 증진시키는 경향이 있는 판단이면서 동시에 의도 또한 그것을 목적하는 경우에만 유덕한 행위라고 규정하였다. 인간은 정서 자체를 대상으로 하는 반성적 능력을 지니고 있어서 행위의 의도 또한 도덕적 판단의 중요한 기준이 된다. 셋째, 샤프츠베리의 도덕감은 반성적 정서이면서 감각적 정서의 성격을 지닌다. 체계의 선에 대한 판단은 객관적인 공공선에 대한 타산적인 판단이기에 이성의 추론이 도덕감에 영향을 주지만, 추후에 샤프츠베리는 미감과의 유비 속에서 즉각적인 파악 능력을 보다 부각시킨다. 넷째, 샤프츠베리는 인간의 모든 행위의 동기는 이성이 아닌 감정에서 비롯한다고 하였다. 선한 행위의 동기는 도덕적인 본성적 정서에서 비롯하고, 악한 행위의 동기는 비본성적 정서에서 비롯하는데, 이차본성인 관습과 습관에 의해 도덕감이 훼손될 경우나 아니면 도덕감은 정상이지만 이기심 등의 특정 정서가 과도하여 감정의 조화가 깨지는 경우에 비본성적 정서가 행위를 이끌게 된다고 보았다. 다섯째, 샤프츠베리의 도덕감 이론은 행복주의적 성향을 보이면서도 이타적 본성인 덕에 상충하는 어떠한 쾌도 허용하지 않는다는 특징을 보인다.

지능형 CCTV에서 다양한 객체 및 이벤트의 주석 데이터를 동적으로 저장하기 위한 DB 스키마 설계

To develop object and event recognition algorithms of intelligent surveillance systems, a lot of ground-truth data is essentially required. Therefore, many video annotation tools have been developed so far. However, the previous annotation tools have limitation to support reusing annotation data for other similar purposes while generating new annotation data for video is time-consuming task. If an annotation data can be reused for developing several other recognition algorithms, it is very helpful to reduce the development cost. Hence, in this paper, we propose a video annotation tool named INHA-VAS which is able to store the annotation data into the integrated annotation database instead of directly output ground truth data file. We also propose database schema for the integrated annotation database to accommodate diverse objects, events and their attributes for several different purposes. Hence, INHA-VAS can support well to generate annotation data for diverse objects and events and their attributes which is able to be reused as ground truth data for developing several different recognition algorithms for intelligent surveillance systems. 지능형 CCTV를 위한 객체 및 이벤트 인식 알고리즘을 개발하기 위해 대량의 지상 실측 데이터(ground-truthdata)가 필요하기 때문에 이를 효율적으로 생성하기 위한 비디오 주석 생성 시스템들이 개발되었다. 하지만 기존시스템들은 특정 객체 및 이벤트에 대해 생성한 주석 정보를 XML 문서나 텍스트 문서로 출력하기 때문에 이를다른 목적으로 사용하기 위해 부분 편집하는 것이 용이하지 않았다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 주석 정보를 통합 주석DB로 관리하도록 하고 다양한 목적에 따라 다른 구성내용으로 동적으로 지상 실측 데이터를 생성하여 지능형CCTV의 인식 알고리즘을 개발하는데 사용할 수 있도록 하였다. 즉, 통합 주석 DB의 스키마를 지능형 CCTV의사용 목적에 따라 다양한 객체 및 이벤트 그리고 각 객체 및 이벤트의 다양한 속성 정보를 관리 할 수 있도록설계하였다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 DB 스키마를 채택한 비디오 주석 생성 시스템(INHA-VAS)은 다양한 객체및 이벤트의 주석 정보를 저장할 수 있고 질의 검색기능을 이용하여 통합 주석 DB에서 필요한 정보만으로 XML형태의 지상 실측 데이터를 동적으로 생성할 수 있음을 예시하였다.

도덕적 이성주의에 대한 허치슨의 반박

Hutcheson examined the central problems about moral recognition and motivation of his age in Essay on the Nature and Conduct of the Passions and Affections, with Illustrations on the Moral Sense. The aim of this article is an analysis of Hutcheson’s theory, with an emphasis on motivation in Illustrations, and to illuminate the occasion of a movement to more advanced discussions related with Hume and Kant. The main contents are summarized as follows. First, Hutcheson emphasized that good and evil is not an objective property of some external object but a psychological fact. Hutcheson found out a basis for moral judgement from moral sense, using Locke’s terms. Although his position is far from eternal and immutable morality, it met the requirements of the age. Second, Hutcheson is not a realist. There is a fundamental difference between realism and sentimentalism. Hutcheson did not accept metaphysical entities. It is a perverse interpretation of Hutcheson that he is a realist. Third, Hutcheson claimed that the motives of human actions are derived from sensations. Through a discussion of exciting reason and justifying reason, he distinguished practical motivations from recognition of truth propositions and made it clear that moral conducts also arise from sentiments. And this raised a question about early rationalists’ views that moral principle is as sure as rules of mathematics or logic. It was a sharp remark. Fourth, reason is strictly limited to its means-end function. Without public affections for the happiness of a system, reason alone does not tell us that it is better to promote the happiness of the many rather than the few. When Hutcheson tried to make a ground to pursue public good based upon altruistic affections, reason served as a help by offering a calculated reasoning. 허치슨의 도덕적 이성주의에 대한 반박은 당시의 도덕성에 관한 인식과 동기의 주요 문제들을 다루고 있다. 필자는 예증 을 통해 허치슨의 도덕감 이론을 파악하고, 이후 흄과 칸트로 이어지는 보다 발전된 도덕철학적 논의로 이행하는 계기를 주지하고자 한다. 주요 내용을 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 허치슨은 선과 악이 외재하는 객관적 속성이 아니라 심리적 사실임을 분명히 한다. 허치슨은 로크의 개념들을 이용하여, 도덕 판단의 기초를 도덕 감정에서 찾는다. 이러한 그의 입장은 당시의 이성주의자들이 추구하던 확실성과는 거리가 먼 것이었지만, 시대의 요구에 부합하는 것이었다. 둘째, 허치슨은 실재론자가 아니다. 허치슨은 이성주의자들이 제시하는 형이상학적인 실체 개념을 받아들이지 않는다. 따라서 허치슨을 실재론자로 보는 것은 잘못된 해석이다. 셋째, 허치슨은 모든 행위의 동기가 감정으로부터 기인한다고 주장한다. 허치슨은 동기유발 근거와 정당화 근거 논의를 통해서 진리명제에 대한 인식과 실천적 동기를 구분하고 도덕적 행위 역시 감정으로부터 비롯함을 분명히 한다. 이것은 초기 이성주의자들이 수학이나 논리학과 같이 자명한 것으로 여겼던 도덕의 이성적 원리에 의문을 제기한 날카로운 지적이다. 넷째, 이성의 능력은 목적에 적합한 수단을 찾는 것으로 제한된다. 전체의 행복에 대해 욕구하는 공공 정서가 없다면 다수의 행복이 하나의 행복보다 더 큰 총량이라는 진리는 사람들에게 영향을 미치지 못한다. 허치슨은 이타적 정서를 바탕으로 공공선을 추구할 수 있는 근거를 마련하는 데 주의를 기울이는 데, 이때 이성은 최대의 선을 산출하기 위한 계산적 추론을 제공함으로써 이에 일조하는 역할을 맡는다.

청소년 운동선수들의 긍정심리자본과 회복탄력성의 관계에서 코치-선수 관계의 매개역할

The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between positive psychological capital and coach-player relationship and resilience of youth athletes, and the mediating role of coach-player relationship in the relationship between positive psychological capital and resilience. To this end, a total of 632 data were used for actual analysis with a population of middle and high school sports players in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Incheon, and Chungnam. Data processing methods were analyzed (frequency, exploratory and confirmatory factors, reliability, descriptive statistics, correlation, structural equation, and bootstrapping) using SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 20.0. First, it was found that the positive psychological capital of youth athletes had a positive (+) effect on the coach-player relationship. Second, it was found that the positive psychological capital of youth athletes did not significantly affect resilience. Third, it was found that the coach-player relationship of youth athletes had a positive (+) effect on resilience. Fourth, the coach-player relationship of youth athletes has a complete mediating effect in the relationship between positive psychological capital and resilience, indicating that positive psychological capital affects resilience through the coach-player relationship. 본 연구는 청소년 운동선수들의 긍정심리자본과 코치-선수 관계 및 회복탄력성의 관계, 그리고 긍정심리자본과 회복탄력성의 관계에서 코치-선수 관계의 매개역할을 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 서울, 경기, 인천, 충남지역에 중·고 스포츠 선수들을 모집단으로 총 632명의 자료를 실제분석에 이용하였다. 자료처리 방법은 SPSS 22.0과 AMOS 20.0을 이용하여 분석(빈도, 탐색적·확인적 요인, 신뢰도, 기술통계, 상관관계, 구조방정식, 부트스트래핑)을 실시하였다. 첫째, 청소년 운동선수들의 긍정심리자본은 코치-선수 관계에 정(+)적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 청소년 운동선수들의 긍정심리자본은 회복탄력성에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 청소년 운동선수들의 코치-선수 관계는 회복탄력성에 정(+)적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 청소년 운동선수들의 코치-선수 관계는 긍정심리자본과 회복탄력성의 관계에서 완전매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타나 긍정심리자본은 코치-선수 관계를 통해서 회복탄력성에 영향을 주는 것으로 알 수 있다.

비구면 인공수정체와 구면 인공수정체 삽입 수술 후 수차 및 시기능 비교

Purpose: To compare postoperative wavefront aberration and visual functions between aspherical Tecnis Z9003, a new acrylic aspheric intraocular lens (IOL), and spherical AcrySof SA60AT IOL. Methods: Fifty patients (56 eyes) who underwent cataract extraction and were implanted with spherical or aspherical IOLs were randomly evaluated by wavefront analysis, including an examination of spherical aberration and higher-order aberrations using two different types of aberrometers (ray tracing and automatic retinoscope), manifested refraction, a contrast sensitivity test, and modulation transfer function (MTF), three months after surgery. Result: There were no statistically significant differences of spherical equivalent and best-corrected visual acuity between the two different IOL groups. However, the aspherical IOL group showed less spherical aberration and better contrast sensitivity and MTF than the spherical IOL group. Conclusions: Tecnis Z9003 could compensate for positive spherical aberrations of the cornea and improve contrast sensitivity and MTF, thereby improving visual function. 배드민턴 서비스규정 변경으로 인한 배드민턴 선수들의 서비스 중 심리변화 연구

The purpose of this study is to in-depth analyze the psychological change research among the services of badminton players due to the change in badminton service regulations. Preliminary questions were developed through meetings of three experts, and based on the results of the preliminary survey, the questions were partially modified and used in this study. The collected data were divided into original data, detailed areas, and general areas by performing inductive data analysis. As a result of inductive data analysis and in-depth interviews, first, it was found that after the regulation change, the players perceived service perception as the service itself, height perception, and satisfied with the changed regulations. Second, service faults were found to be in violation of service regulations and situation recognition. Third, the games impact after the service fault was in the order of service impact, relative gain, and external impact. Fourth, psychological changes in service were in the order of Competitive State Anxiety service difficulties and situation overcoming, and fifth, answers to the presence or absence of service guidance were in the order of tactical guidance and personal training. Finally, the change in the operation method of the game was found to be service impact and tactical impact. These results mean that players are aware of the importance of service during the game, and furthermore, service can affect the game.
