        고해상도 위성자료를 활용한 마른 잎 탐지

        Recently, many studies have been conducted on the changing phenology on the Korean Peninsula due to global warming. However, because of the geographical characteristics, research on plant season in autumn, which is difficult to measure compared to spring season, is insufficient. In this study, all leaves that maple and fallen leaves were defined as ‘Decay leaves’ and decay leaf detection was performed based on the Landsat-8 satellite image. The first threshold value of decay leaves was calculated by using NDVI and the secondary threshold value of decay leaves was calculated using by NDWI and the difference of spectral characteristics with green leaves. POD, FAR values were used to verify accuracy of the dry leaf detection algorithm in this study, and the results showed high accuracy with POD of 98.619 and FAR of 1.203. 최근 지구 온난화의 영향으로 변화하는 한반도 식물계절에 대한 연구가 많이 이루어지고 있다. 그러나지리적인 특성상 봄철 식물계절에 비해 실측이 어려운 가을철 식물계절의 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 대표적인 가을철 식물계절인 단풍과 낙엽 등을 ‘마른 잎’으로 정의하고 Landsat-8 위성영상을 기반으로 마른 잎 탐지를 수행하였다. NDVI를 이용하여 마른 잎의 1차 경계 값을 산출하고, 건강한 잎과의 분광특성차이 및 NDWI를 이용하여 마른 잎의 2차 경계 값을 산출하였다. 본 연구의 마른 잎 탐지 알고리즘의 정확도 검증을 위해 POD, FAR 값을 이용하였으며, 검증 결과 POD는 98.619, FAR은 1.203으로 높은 정확성을 보였다.

        어머니의 언어통제유형, 교사-유아관계가 유아의 사회적 능력에 미치는 영향

        This study has been conducted to elucidate the factors influencing the social competence of 222 children residing in Seoul and Gyonggi provinces. The scales of mother's language-control styles, student-teacher relationships, and children's social competence were all employed. Data were analyzed by t-tests and stepwise regression. The results indicated that, sex and age differences were found in children's social competence. The strongest predictor of the social competence was the teacher-child relationship. The result implies the essence of teachers' roles in the childcare provided in early educational institutions and suggests an impending need to considered them in future steps for improving social competence in young children.

        A comparison of trunk and lower extremity muscle activity during the performance of squats and kneeling squats in persons with stroke: a preliminary study

        Objective: The purpose of this study was to compare the effects of performing squats and kneeling squats on trunk and lower extremity muscle activity in persons with stroke. Design: Cross-sectional study. Methods: Ten persons with stroke (3 male and 7 female) were recruited. The subjects were instructed to randomly perform the 4 different squat conditions: squat with 30 degrees of knee flexion, squat with 60 degrees of knee flexion, squat with 90 degree of knee flexion, and the kneeling squat. During the squat performance, surface electromyograms (sEMG) was used to assess muscle activity of the erector spinae (ES), gluteus maximus (Gmax), gluteus medius (Gmed), and biceps femoris (BF) muscles. Results: Muscle activation of the ES and BF were significantly increased with the kneeling squats compared to the general squats with 30 degrees and 60 degrees of knee flexion (p<0.05), and muscle activation of the Gmax and Gmed were significantly increased with the kneeling squats compared to all other squat conditions (p<0.05). Conclusions: The results suggest that the kneeling squat is an effective exercise to strengthen the proximal muscles of the lower extremities. Rather than applying a difficult general squat to the stroke population, the kneeling squat may be applied as a safer method for training the proximal muscles.

        천리안 위성자료 융합을 통한적설역에서의 GEMS 지표면 반사도 개선 연구

        To address challenges in classifying clouds and snow cover when calculating groundreflectance in Near-UltraViolet (UV) wavelengths, this study introduces a methodology that combinescloud data from the Geostationary Environmental Monitoring Spectrometer (GEMS) and the AdvancedMeteorological Imager (AMI) satellites for snow cover analysis. The proposed approach aims to enhancethe quality of surface reflectance calculations, and combined cloud data were generated by integratingGEMS cloud data with AMI cloud detection data. When applied to compute GEMS surface reflectance,this fusion approach significantly mitigated underestimation issues compared to using only GEMS clouddata in snow-covered regions, resulting in an approximately 17% improvement across the entireobservational area. The findings of this study highlight the potential to address persistent underestimationchallenges in snow areas by employing fused cloud data, consequently enhancing the accuracy of otherLevel-2 products based on improved surface reflectivity.

        유한 요소 시뮬레이션을 이용한 이중 매질 심부 체온계의 정확도 평가

        Continuous body temperature monitoring is useful and essential in diverse medical procedures such as infection onset detection, therapeutic hypothermia, circadian rhythm monitoring, sleep disorder assessment, and gynecological research. However, the existing thermometers are too invasive or intrusive to be applied to long-term body temperature monitoring. In our previous study, we invented the bi-medium deep body thermometer which can noninvasively and continuously monitor deep tissue temperature. And the ratio of thermal resistances expressed as K-value should be obtained to estimate body temperature with the thermometer and it can be different under various measurement environments. Although the device was proven to be useful through preliminary simulation test and small group of human study, the experimental environment was restrictive in our previous approach. In this study, a finite element simulation was executed to obtain the K-value and evaluate the accuracy of bi-medium thermometer under various measurement environments. In addition, K-value estimation equation was developed by analyzing the influence of 5 measurement environmental factors (medium length, medium height, tissue depth, blood perfusion rate, and ambient temperature) on K-value. The results revealed that the estimation accuracy of bi-medium deep body thermometer based on computer simulation was very high (RMSE < $0.003^{\circ}C$) in various measurement environments. Also, bi-medium deep body thermometer based on K-value estimation equation showed relatively accurate results (RMSE < $0.3^{\circ}C$) except for one case. Although the K-value estimation technology should be improved for more accurate body temperature estimation, the results of finite element simulation showed that bi-medium deep body thermometer could accurately measure various tissue temperatures under diverse environments.

        A comparison of continuous femoral nerve block combined with sciatic nerve block and epidural analgesia for postoperative pain management after total knee replacement

        Background: Epidural analgesia (EPA) has been used for postoperative pain control in total knee replacement (TKR). However, many patients have suffered various side effects after epidural blockade. Peripheral nerve block (PNB) has been shown to provide effective pain relief after TKR. We compared the benefits of continuous femoral nerve block (FNB) combined with singleinjection sciatic nerve block (SNB) with those of EPA for postoperative pain management after TKR. Methods: Eighty participants undergoing unilateral TKR were randomized to receive either EPA (EPA group) or continuous FNB combined with SNB (PNB group). All patients received general anesthesia for TKR. Ropivacaine 2 mg/ml plus fentanyl 2 g/ml was administered for EPA. Ropivacaine 2 mg/ml was administered through the femoral nerve catheter. The pain score, side effects (dizziness, sedation, nausea, vomiting, pruritus, hypotension and urinary retention), motor blockade, knee range of motion, and rehabilitation were measured postoperatively. The primary outcome measure was the number of patients experiencing side effects. Results: The incidence of patients with side effects was 86.8% in the EPA group but only 35.1% in the PNB group (P < 0.001). There were no significant differences between the two groups in terms of pain score, motor blockade of the operative limb, knee range of motion, or rehabilitation. Conclusions: Continuous FNB combined with SNB can be an effective alternative to EPA for postoperative pain management in TKR.

        MODIS AOD 기대 오차에 따른 6SV 기반 KOMPSAT-3A 채널별 지표반사도 오차 영향 분석

        본 연구에서는 Second Simulation of the Satellite Signal in the Solar Spectrum Vector를 활용하여 ModerateResolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) aerosol optical depth (AOD)의 기대 오차(expected error, EE)가KOMPSAT-3A 지표반사도(surface reflectance, SR)의 정확도에 미치는 영향을 평가한다. 연구에서 다양한 지상AOD와 그에 따른 MODIS AOD EE를 고려함으로써, 파장이 짧고 태양천정각(solar zenith angle, SZA)이 높을수록 SR 오류가 증가한다는 결과를 확인했으며, 이는 파장과 SZA 고려 사항을 통합하여 대기보정 알고리즘을개선하기 위한 추가 연구가 필요하다는 점을 강조한다. 또한, 이 연구는 대기보정 과정에서 다른 위성의 AOD자료 활용에 대해 더 잘 이해하기 위한 기초 자료를 제공하고 대기보정 기술 발전에 기여할 것으로 예상한다.

        The Effect of Plank Exercises with Hip Abduction Using Sling on Trunk Muscle Activation in Healthy Adults

        Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of healthy persons performing a plank exercise with hip abduction and use of sling on trunk muscle activity. Methods: Twenty-three subjects participated in this study. Muscle activities of the multifidus, rectus abdominis, external oblique and internal oblique were assessed with electromyography (EMG) while the subjects performed 6 various types of plank exercises in random order. Results: There was a significant difference in multifidus and internal oblique on the supported side and the multifidus, external oblique, and internal oblique on the elevated side (p<0.05), and differences in plank methods were significantly higher in the multifidus, rectus abdominis, external oblique, internal oblique of the supported side and the rectus abdominis, external oblique and internal oblique on the elevated side (p<0.05). In addition, post-hoc analysis of the various plank methods showed that muscle activity was significantly higher during the general plank exercise compared with the knee-supported-in-sling plank exercises (p<0.05), and was significantly higher with the ankle-supported-in-sling plank exercises compared with the general plank exercise. Conclusion: There was greater trunk muscle activity with plank exercises performed with the ankle-supported-in-sling and hip abduction plank exercises compared with the general or knee-supported-in-sling plank exercises. Through this study, various plank exercises have been discovered that can be selected at different intensities for core muscle training purposes based on trunk muscle strength.
