In this paper, we developed the algorithm for assembling and iterative numerical analysis of asymmetric sparse matrix equation in finite element method. Developed program in this study is applicable and very useful to analyze the electromagnetic characteristics of the electric machinery considered with the movement of the secondary.

This paper presents the error estimation and node adding algorithm that applicable to the adaptive mesh refinement for the electromagnetic field analysis by finite element method. If this algorithm is used for the mesh generation, the analyzing results are purchased so fast with ease without complicated process of the calculations about the tangential and normal components of the flux density and the field intensity on the elements sides. The supplement of this algorithm and the application to the real models are expected.

In this paper, the 2-media open boundary region problem is analyzed by the combination method of FEM and BEM. The application of the imaging method is proposed for the elimination of the infinite integral term on the media boundary, and 0-1 order combined boundary element method is used for content the joining condition of the boundary and the finite element regions. Also, this method is applied to the model that exists the analytic solution and then the propriety and utility of this study are established by comparing with the analyzing results of FEM only.
A Study on tne Iron Losses in Flux-Switching Permanent Magnet Machines

Flux-switching permanent magnet machines (FSPMM) have doubly-salient and simple structures making it cost effective and suitable for mass production. In addition, it is possible to increase the rotor rotating speed and concentrate the flux of the permanent magnet on the air-gap. Due to these merits, the FSPMM can be applied to the various industry applications. To improve the performance, various design variables need to be studied in terms of design techniques. In this paper, we especially concentrate on the distribution of iron losses using a two-dimensional finite-element method (2D FEM). As a result, we can get an information for high efficiency FSPMM design.

This paper is a study to set the theoretical bases about the magnetic levitation that is one important technical point of linear motor. For the purpose, the nonlinear magnetic flux distribution characteristics of the magnet - rail system for the magnetic levitation were analyzed by the finite element method. And using this results, the characteristics about inductances, the levitation and guidance forces were analyzed too. And the experimental results were to be compared with this analyzing results.

This paper describes a effective reduction method for the computation time problem appearing in case the nonlinear electromagnetic field is a analyzed by the finite element method(FEM). The system equation that must be solved for analysis of electromagnetic field using FEM has a sparse coefficient matrix with so many zero elements. And the sparse algorithm is the method that the calculation and memory with respect to the zero elements exclude perfectly. For this reason, the reduction of computation time is attempted by introducing the sparse algorithm on computation of the system matrix equation. The results on the transformer model have been obtained and the effectiveness of the proposed method has been demonstrated.

In this paper, we study on the electrical characteristics of SF_6 gas for circuit breaker. The breakdown voltage increases as the pressure of SF_6, and it follows the Paschen's law. Also, the breakdown voltage is dependent on the electrode surface condition. A solid formation adhered to an electrode is CuF₂, which increase the breakdown voltage.
광센서를 이용한 SRM의 위치각 검출과 상별 여자신호의 발생

In the SRM drive, information on the rotor position is needed in order to properly excite each phase for continuous torque production. And many control strategies of SRM reported require higher resolution to improve the motor performance. This paper presents a new commutation scheme with position and speed detection from the low resolution opto-interruptor for the SRM drive. The scheme permits the realization of self startup and four-quadrant operation for common types of 6/4 SRM with simple logic. This detection and communication scheme were tested in the laboratory in variable-speed SRM drive, and the test results were found to be excellent.

To analyze reliability and design optimal contracts shapes of GCB carrying out closing and opening braker, it is necessary to compute accurately electric field in the SF6 GCB chamber under the high voltage and energy states. Conventional electric field analysis method, C-0 FEM, only satisfies a continuous condition of electric potential in interesting domain. But this method doesn't appropriate a continuous condition of electric field on the boundary and thus demands additional computation to get distribution of electric field. So, this paper proposed C-1 FEM including 9 DOF(degree of freedom) of node's potential and differential in 3 dimension-axisymmetric field. Proposed method, C-1 FEM, satisfied continuous condition of electric potential and electric field at the same time. In order to examine this method's propriety, it is applied to analytic model formed coaxial cylindrical electrode. The efficiency of the C-1 FEM is demonstrated through comparing the calculated results of the proposed algorithm with those of conventional method for Gas Circuit Breaker.
