The purpose of this study is to find out students'cognitive abilities in science lessons. Bloom's Taxonomy of Educational Objectives, Klopfer's Specification for Science Education and Piaget's Cognitive Development Theory were reviewed to build the evaluating tool. The contents of the constructed tool includes 33 percents'experimental items, and the rest nonexperimental. In the evaluating methods three types of questioning were adopted: multiple choice(79%), short answer test(15%) and essay type(6%). Data were collected from 250 students who are attending a middle school in Sunchang, Chollabuk-do. To find out the statistical facts, students' scores were caculated into mean, standard deviation and percentile. The analysis of data showed the following results. The average score of students'scientific thinking ability is around 64.1 which stands for lower state of thinking ability than expected. Students got higher scores in questions on the experimental-observational contents of learning. It seems that students understand this content of learning more easily than the others. However, students got very lower scores in contents of tearing which include such higher mental-processes as secondary, synthetic functions. It suggests that teachers ought to pay more attention to this content of learning to stimulate students'higher mental ability. Score distribution and higher mental function showed positive relationship. The study has made certain that through the evaluating frame of cognitive domains we can assess students'ability on the experimental areas of learning except the manual skills, even if paper tests are practiced.
大邱新川大路 Weaving 區間에서의 交通流特性에 關한 硏究

The purpose of this study is to understand traffic characteristics of weaving sections. Therefore, this study has analyzed the characteristics of traffic flow on weaving sections on SHIN-CHUN in Tae-gu. Using the existing methods to analyze weaving sections, grasp the traffic characteristics of weaving sections, and then made a comparison and analysis between observed data and assumed data. Measuring effect on weaving sections in Highway Capacity Manual is average running speed of volumes running within weaving sections. Therefore, analyzing the variables effecting for running speed, volumes per lane, VR, and the length of weaving sections influenced running speed, but R did few influence running speed. And what influenced the traffic capacity of weaving sections is R and the number of lane rather than the length of weaving sections. It is estimated that average running speed which determine the LOS for weaving sections is almost 'C' or 'D' by observation and assumption and that the assumption between weaving speed and non-weaving speed by the methods of KHCM and HCM is very accurate with observation.

대부분의 대도시에서 있는 도시고속도로의 가장 중요한 기능은 이동성이다. 그러나, 대구광역시 도심에 위치한 신천고속화도로의 교통흐름은 주변 간선도로의 교통과 불완전 입체교차형태로 이루어져 있어, 그 처리 방식에 따라 병목현상을 초래하고 있다. 본 연구는 신천고속화도로와 접속되는 접속교차로의 운용방법을 각각의 대안으로 나누어 분석하였다. 대안 설정은 접속 교차로에서의 좌회전 현시 유무에 의해서 좌회전 없음 (대안 Ⅰ), 신천대로 상에 좌회전 (대안 Ⅱ), 대동로 상에 좌회전 (대안 Ⅲ)으로 나누었다. 분석은 각 대안별로 신천대로 Weaving 구간에서의 주행속도 변화, 인접교차로의 U-Turn 구간 V/C비 변화, 접속교차로의 평균정지지체시간 변화, 차량의 주행비용변화에 초점을 두고 실시하였다. 분석결과 대안 Ⅲ이 가장 좋은 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. The most important function of the urban expressway is a mobility in most cities. However, traffic flows of Sin-Chun Urban Expressway in Tae-gu is deeply affected by its intersection-type and traffic situation of crossing arterial roads. For instance, bottleneck in Sin-Chun Urban Expressway is affected by these two reasons. This study analyzed the effectiveness of the operational methods of intersection divided into three alternatives on the Sin-Chun Urban Expressway. The alternatives are made upon the existence of left-turn phase : left-turn prohibition by the existence and the non-existence of left-turn phase on cross street (Ⅰ), left-turn on Sin-Chun Dae-Ro (Ⅱ), and left-turn on Dae-Dong arterial road (Ⅲ), respectively. Each alternatives was analyzed according to the change of Running Speed in weaving area, the change of V/C ratio in U-Turn area, the change of Average Stopped-Time Delay in cross street and the change of vehicle operating cost. The results of the analyses showed that the third alternative was most efficient than the other alternatives.
