Background: The aim of this study was to evaluate the longitudinal changes of trabecular bone score (TBS) during and after bisphosphonate (BP) treatment in postmenopausal Korean women with osteoporosis. Methods: We analyzed 191 patients who took BP and underwent bone mineral density (BMD) test for the period from January 2010 to December 2015. The mean follow up period during treatment and after treatment was 22.8 months and 18 months, respectively. The TBS and BMD values were evaluated by the percent changes relative to the baseline. Results: In 191 patients, who treated with BPs, L-spine BMD increased 3.65±0.5% and TBS increased 0.26±0.4% from baseline during first 1 year. At 2 to 4 year, the changes of BMD and TBS from baseline gradually increased up to 9.3±3.25% and 2.69±0.98% and both results showed statistically significant correlation. In 86 patients who stopped BPs, L-spine BMD decreased -0.54±1.07% and TBS increased 0.33±1.96% from baseline during 3 year follow up period. Conclusions: Lumbar spine TBS increase over time with BPs treatment although the changes were less than that of BMD. Also, it preserve for years after stopping treatment, as the changes of lumbar spine BMD. The results of BMD and TBS showed significant correlation during treatment but not during drug withdrawal.
장미(Rosa sp.) 현탁배양세포에서 숙주 특이성이 낮은 Elicitor에 의해 유도되는 Anionic Peroxidase의 특성

장미(Rosa sp. cv Paul's Scarlet) 현탁 배양체의 배지에서는 정상적인 성장 조건하에서 cationic peroxidase (POD)만 관찰되었으나, 효모 세포벽으로부터 추출한 숙주 특이성이 낮은 elicitor를 10 mg glucan/L의 농도로 투여하여 24시간 정도 배양하였을 때 기존의 POD와 뚜렷하게 구분되는 anionic POD가 유도됨을 관찰하였다. Elicitor에 의해 유도되는 prominent한 anionic POD (pI 6.1)와 대조구로서 pI 8.4의 cationic isozyme을 분리한 후 효소학적 성질을 비교하였다. Ammonium sulfate농축, ion exchange chromatography, gel filtration chroma tography를 통하여 약 200배로 농축된 두 효소를 분리하였으며, 이 두 효소의 몇몇 기질에 대한 kinetic parameter들은 매우 의미있는 차이를 보여 주었다. 그 중에서 ferulic acid에 대한 Km은 anionic POD의 경우 4.6 mM, cationic POD는 1.38 mM로 측정되었으며, $\textrm{H}_2\textrm{O}_2$에 대한 Km은 각각 anionic POD가 0.72 mM, cationic isozyme이 0.45 mM로 나타났다. 특히 NADH 산화 반응의 활성은 anionic POD가 cationic POD에 비하여 약 2배 높은 것으로 측정되었다. 0.1 mM coniferyl alcohol의 첨가에 의한 NADH 산화 반응의 억제는 anionic POD fraction에서 약 60% 정도 일어난 반면에 cationic POD fraction에서는 약 15% 정도 일어났다. Whereas cationic extracellular peroxidases (PODs) were observed in the suspension cultures of rose (Rosa sp. L. cv Pual's scarlet) grown under normal conditions, new anionic isozymes were induced within 24 hr by the treatment of low host-specific elicitor (10 mg glucan/L media) prepared from yeast cell wall. Prominent anionic (pI 6.1) and cationic POD (pI 8.4) were purified and characterized to understand the physiological role of the enzymes. Both enzymes were purified (ca.200 fold) by the ammonium sulfate precipitation, ion exchange chromate-graphy and gel filtration chromatography. The Km values of the purified anionic POD for ferulic acid and $\textrm{H}_2\textrm{O}_2$ were 4.64 mM and 0.72 mM, whereas those of the cationic POD were 1.38 mM and 0.48 mM, respetively. The activity of the anionic POD as NADH oxidase was twice higher than that of cationic POD. The NADH oxidation in the anionic POD fraction was inhibited by 60% on the addition of 0.1 mM coniferyl alcohol, while that in the cationic fraction was inhibited by 15%.
Acid 농도에 따른 폴리피롤 적용 탄탈 콘덴서 특성연구

전기, 전자기기의 디지털화에 따른 고주파수 대역의 일반화에 따라 탄탈륨 고체전해질 콘덴서에 있어서도 100 kHz 이상의 고주파수 대역에서의 저저항 구현 및 전원 입력단에서의 발화현상 억제가 시급한 기술적 과제로 대두되었다. 기존의 Ta/Ta<sub>2</sub>O<sub>5</sub>/MnO<sub>2</sub> 콘덴서 시스템에서는 MnO<sub>2</sub> 의 전기전도도가 10-<sub>1</sub>S/cm 불과하여 상대적으로 전기전도도가 10<sub>-1</sub> ~ 10<sub>2</sub> S/cm에 달하는 폴리피롤과 같은 전도성고분자에 대한 적용연구가 활발하다. 폴리피롤을 콘덴서의 고체전해질로 적용하기 위하여 전기화학적인 산화중합 방법을 사용하였으며, 탄탈륨 소자에 폴리피롤 적용시 전해중합용액의 acid농도에 따른 폴리피롤의 전기적 특성 및 콘덴서 적용특성을 평가하였다. acid로 사용된 oxalic acid 의 농도가 증가할수록 정전용량에는 별다른 차이가 없었으나 유전손실은 감소하고 등가직렬저항은 감소하는 경향을 나타냄으로써 acid의 농도가 유전손실 및 등가직렬저항을 감소시키는 역활을 수행하는 것이 입증되었다. 또한 전해중합 전후의 pH 변화가 0.4~0.5이내일 경우 우수한 콘덴서 특성을 나타내는 것이 확인되었으며 이를 통해 양산적용시 폴리피롤 생성의 완성도를 간접평가할수 있는 기준을 제시하였다.
손상 받은 각막 상피세포가 중배엽 줄기세포의 분화에 미치는 영향

Purpose: To identify the effects of microenvironmental changes caused by human corneal epithelial damages to characteristics or differentiation of human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs). Methods: Artificial corneal damage was induced onto a cultured monolayer of human corneal epithelial cells. hMSCs were then co-cultured with damaged human corneal epithelial cells (dIHCE). Morphological changes in the co-cultured hMSCs were observed. To elucidate the differentiation of hMSCs into corneal keratocytes or epithelial cells, the expressions of α-smooth muscle actin, keratin-3/-12, and E-cadherin were confirmed by immunofluorescence. Results: hMSCs co-cultured with dIHCE showed enhanced adherence in the neighborhood of dIHCE and morphological change into dendritic shapes at 6 days post-seeding. Although the expression of α-smooth muscle actin, known as hMSCs marker, significantly decreased at the dIHCE-contacted site of hMSCs; there were no expressional changes on keratin-3/-12 and E-cadherin, the markers of corneal epithelial cells. Interestingly, positive expression of corneal epithelial marker keratin-3/-12 was observed in dIHCE co-cultured hMSCs. hMSCs co-cultured with normal human corneal epithelial cells (nIHCE) were unable to attach, and showed no change in the expression of α-smooth muscle actin. Conclusions: It is proposed that dIHCE causes a morphological change in hMSCs, and decreased expression of α-smooth muscle actin. These results suggest that dIHCE can affect a change in the characteristics and differentiation of hMSCs.
대학생의 비자살적 자해 경험과 자살생각의 관계에서 좌절된 대인관계 욕구의 매개효과

Purpose: This study explored the relationship between non-suicidal self-harm and suicidal ideation and examined the mediating role of frustrated interpersonal needs on the relationship between non-suicidal self-harm and suicidal ideation based on the Interpersonal Theory of Suicide. Methods: A cross-sectional, descriptive study was conducted with 333 college students in Korea. Subjects completed a packet of self-report questionnaires through an on-line survey. The analyses were conducted with IBM SPSS Statistics 25 using descriptive statistics, independent T-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson’s correlation coefficients. Bootstrapping was adopted for significance tests regarding the mediation effect. Results: Among the subjects, 156 students (46.8%) had non-suicide self-harm experiences. The levels of suicidal ideation were significantly different by gender. Students with experiences of non-suicidal self-harm reported significantly higher levels of frustrated interpersonal needs and suicidal ideation than those without such experiences. The relationship between non-suicidal self-harm and intensity of suicidal ideation was partially mediated by thwarted belongingness, but not perceived burdensomeness. Conclusion: Findings of this study suggest the inclusion of effective strategies that can have a positive effect on ameliorating thwarted belongingness in developing suicide prevention programs for college students with experiences of non-suicidal self-harm.
