본 논문에서는 작은 면적을 갖는 저전력 스위치-매트릭스 구조의 델타-시그마 D/A 변환기용 준 디지털 FIR 재생필터를 제안하였다. 제안된 재생필터는 계수를 7 비트로 양자화하고 각 비트 값에 대응하는 전류를 생성하는 7 개의 전류원을 사용하는 구조로 205 개의 탭을 가지며 1419 개의 스위칭 트랜지스터로 구현되었다. 제안된 필터는 0.25 um CMOS공정을 이용하여 설계되었으며 전체 칩 면적은 1.5 mm$^{2}$으로 2.5 V에서 3.8 mW의 소비 전력을 갖는다. 모의실험 결과 104 dB의 다이나믹 레인지와 -84 dB의 대역 밖의 노이즈 허용값을 나타내어 고해상도 오디오용 DAC에 적합하다. An area efficient, low power switch-matrix semidigital FIR reconstruction filter for delta-sigma D/A converter is proposed. Filter coefficients are quantified to 7-bit and 7 current sources that correspond to each coefficient bit are used. The proposed semidigital FIR reconstruction filter is designed in a 0.25 um CMOS process and incorporates 1.5 mm$^{2}$ of active area and a power consumption is 3.8 mW at 2.5 V supply. The number of switching transistors is 1419 at 205 filter order. Simulation results show that the filter output has a dynamic range of 104 dB and 84 dB attenuation of out-of-band quantization noise.

Hemospermia is not an uncommon disease and may affect the sperm motility. But the research about sperm motility in hemospermia is rare. So we studied the change of sperm motility between control group and patients with hemospermia and also studied the change of sperm motility between patients with hemospermia and those whose hemospermia was improved, the change of sperm motility between control group and artificially induced hemospermia group. We observed that the sperm motility in patients with hemospermia was decreased than that of control group, and that, as hemospermia being better, sperm motility was improved. We also observed that sperm motility in artificially induced hemospermia was decreased. The results provide that hemospermia has an effect on decreasing hemospermia motility.

Purpose: Stem cells have migration ability toward cancer cells and therapeutic genes can be easily transduced into stem cells with viral vectors. Cystosine deaminase (CD) is the enzyme that transforms the prodrug 5-fluorocytosine to highly toxic drug 5-fluorouracil (5-FU). This study was performed to investigate the migration ability of CD gene transduced human neural stem cells (Hb1.F3-CD) toward prostate cancer after systemic treatment in C57B mice. Materials and Methods: An Hb1.F3 with a retroviral vector encoding v-myc, lacZ was generated and transfected with recombinant retrovirus from the pMSCV-puro/CD. Reverse transcription (RT) was performed to evaluate the expression of CD in Hb1.F3-CD. In vivo migration assay after systemic injection of Hb1.F3-CD was performed in prostate cancer induced C57B mice using molecular magnetic resonance (MR) imaging and immunochemical staining. Results: Transgene expression in CD-hNSCs was demonstrated. In vivo migration ability of CD-hNSCs cells toward TRAMPC2 induced prostate cancer was found using MR imaging and X-gal stain after implantation of HB1.F3-CD in C57B mice. Conclusions: We confirmed the migration ability of HB1.F3-CD toward prostate cancer cells after systemic treatment in C57B mice. This finding may imply a possible novel selective chemotherapeutic strategy against prostate cancer.

Male genital tract inflammatory conditions may be associated with unexplained infertility. The presence of cytokine such as tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-${\alpha}$) was reported in the semen of infertile men. However, the effect of these cytokines on human sperm function is still unclear. The purpose of this study was to investigate the in-vitro effects of TNF-alpha on human sperm motility with computer assisted sperm analysis. Washed sperm from 16 normal men were incubated without and with TNF-${\alpha}$ (0.1, 10, 1000 ng/ml). The changes of parameters of sperm motility were recorded at different time intervals (0, 5, 24 hour). There was no significant change of parameters of sperm motility in the incubation with TNF-${\alpha}$. It is suggested that TNF-${\alpha}$ alone does not interfere with the sperm motility and more studies are needed.

N/A Today. the obstacle detection system has massive size and restrictive detection range. To solve these problems, this paper proposes the capacitance variation detector using the variated capacitance value as a result of the obstacle approaching. If obstacle approaches, the capacitance value of capacitance sensor is increased and the operating frequency of oscillator is decreased. Then this changed frequency appears to the output of the mixer that operate down conversion. The capacitance variation detector is produced by Hynix0.35 μ CMOS process. In experiment result, the frequency of final output is 6.81 MHz at no obstacle and 31.45 MHz at approaching obstacle. In conclusion, proposed capacitance variation detector has small size, low power consumption and easiness to set up anywhere. So it is expected to substitute the obstacle detector.
유행성 이하선염성 고환염 환자의 불임에 대한 Interferon ${\alpha}$-2B의 예방 효과

Postpubertal mumps may result in ochitis and permanent testicular atrophy may develop following infection. This present study was initiated to evaluate the preventive effect of interferon-${\alpha}2B$ on infertilty after mumps orchitis. There were 21 patients with mumps orchitis between May 1990 and June 1997. Patients were randomly distributed into 2 groups: group 1 patients (n=13) maintained therapy with interferon-${\alpha}2B$ ($3{\times}10^6$ IU per day) and group 2 were managed by conservatively. All of the patients were evaluated with testis size measurement, mumps virus titer, hormone level, and if possible semen analysis. For group 1 patients symptoms disappeared within 2 to 3 days and the volume of testis returned to normal within 11 days and testis atrophy was not observed in all patients in follow up. But asthenospermia was continued in 4 patients (unilateral 2, bilateral 2). For group 2 patients symptoms disappeared within 5 to 6 days and the volume of testis returned to normal within 10 days and testis atrophy was observed in 3 patients (unilateral 2, bilateral 1) in floow up. Asthenospermia was continued in 4 patients (unilateral 2, bilateral 2). Sperm count and morphology were recovered all the recover in group 1, 4 patients had persistent reduced sperm count and morphology in group 2, respectively. These observations suggest that systemic interferon-${\alpha}2B$ treatment is highly effective in preventing infertilty as well as testicular atrophy after mumps orchitis.
