        자아조절자원이 유통기한 제품의 이용의도에 미치는 영향

        Although expiration date plays an important role in consumption decision, consumers pay not much attention to it. As such, to solve this problem, the current research examined the influence of self-regulatory resource on willingness to use of product that past its expiration date by resource depletion. The result revealed that compared with no resource depletion condition, participants in resource depletion condition showed less willingness to use the product that past its expiration date. However, no difference was found between resource depletion and no depletion condition in product with valid expiration date. Thus, this research suggests, in consumers' health perspective, an potential implication of emphasizing the importance of expiration date by depleting cognitive resources. 본 연구는 제품 소비에 있어서 유통기한이 중요한 역할을 함에도 불구하고, 많은 소비자가 이에 대한 주의를 기울이지 않는 점에 착안하여, 자아조절 자원의 고갈을 통해 이러한 문제를 해결하였다. 연구 결과, 유통기한이 남은 경우에는 제품 소비의도에 있어서 조절자원의 효과는 나타나지 않았다. 그러나 유통기한이 경과한 경우에는 조절자원이 고갈된 경우가 그렇지 않은 경우보다 더욱 더 제품의 소비의도가 줄어드는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 기존의 조절 자원고갈 연구가 자아조절 실패나 편향된 판단 등을 통해 부정적 결과만을 보여준 것과 달리 긍정적인 효과도 있을 수 있다는 것을 보여주었다는 점에서 이론적으로 의미가 있으며, 소비자의 자아조절 자원을 고갈시킴으로써 유통기한의 중요성을 강조할 수 있다는 점에서 유통기한을 강조하는 마케팅을 사용하는 마케팅 실무자에게도 중요한 시사점을 제공해 준다.

      • 전이성 평활근육종 환자의 통합 암 치료에 대한 증례보고

        Objective: The purpose of this study is to report the effectiveness and possibility of Integrative Cancer Treatment (ICT) on an advanced metastatic leiomyosarcoma patient. Methods: The patient was diagnosed with recurred and advanced metastatic Leiomyosarcoma, suffering from dyspnea, abdominal discomfort, lower limb edema. The patient refused conventional treatment, such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy but was treated with ICT including acupuncture, pharmacopuncture, moxibustion, hypertherapy and herbal medicine for symptom management. The clinical outcomes were measured by NRS (Numeral rating scale). Results: After treatment, dyspnea, abdominal discomfort and lower limb edema was relieved from NRS 6 to 3, 7 to 3 and 7 to 6 respectively. Also, loss of body weight, decrease in abdominal, thigh and calf circumference were improved. During and after treatment, we found neither hepatotoxicity nor nephrotoxicity on laboratory findings. Conclusion: This case study suggests that ICT may improve symptom relief and life quality of leiomyosarcoma patient.

        Changes in Mucin Production in Human Airway Epithelial Cells After Exposure to Electronic Cigarette Vapor With or Without Nicotine

        Objectives. The emergence of electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) has created new perceptions of the tobacco market. Unlike traditional tobacco, the greatest advantage of e-cigarettes is that they have less smell and are convenient and inexpensive. Most e-cigarette smokers believe that e-cigarette smoking is less harmful than traditional smoking. Information on the effects of e-cigarettes on human health is limited, and the issue remains controversial. Methods. We studied the effects of e-cigarette vapor on mucin (MUC5AC and MUC5B) and the change of MUC5AC and MUC5B from e-cigarette liquid with or without nicotine in respiratory epithelial cells. The effects of e-cigarette vapor with or without nicotine on mucin, along with the involved signaling pathways, were investigated using reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (PCR), real-time PCR, enzyme immunoassays, and immunoblot analysis with several specific inhibitors and small interfering RNA. Results. E-cigarette vapor with or without nicotine stimulated MUC5AC, but not MUC5B, expression in respiratory epithelial cells. In addition, we showed that e-cigarette vapor with and without nicotine induced MUC5AC expression via activation of the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK; extracellular signal-regulated kinase [ERK] 1/2 and p38) and nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells (NF-κB) signaling pathways in human airway epithelial cells. Conclusion. E-cigarette vapor with and with nicotine significantly increased MUC5AC expression in human airway epithelial cells.

        외이도에 발생한 해면상혈관종 1예

        Hemangiomas are common benign neoplasms that frequently involve regions of the head and neck. However, cavernoushemangioma is extremely rare in the external auditory canal. We recently experienced a 46-year-old man with a cavernoushemangioma of the external auditory canal without invasion into the tympanic membrane. It was excised en bloc withoutsignificant bleeding. This case report represents the seventh such lesion reported in the literature and the first to be seen in Korea.The clinical presentation and surgical management are discussed with a review of the literature.         두경부 편팡상피세포암 세포주에서 세포주기 조절인자의 활성 및 이상:후두편평상피세포암에서 종양억제 유전자 CDKN2 유전자 발현이상

        Background: Cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) inhibitors are family of molecules that regulate the cell cycle. The CDKN2, a CDK4 inhibitor, also called p16, has been implicated in human tumorigenesis. The CDKN2, inhibits the cyclin/CDK complexes which regulate the transition from G1 to S phase of cell cycle. There is a previous repot that homozygous deletion of CDKN2 region on chromosome 9p21 was detected frequently in astrocytoma, glioma and osteosarcoma, less frequently in lung cancer, leukemia and ovarian cancer, but not detected in colon cancer and neuroblastoma. However, little is known about the relationship between CDKN2 and laryngeal cancer. Therefore this study was initiated to investigate the role of CDKN2 in human laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma development. Materials and methods: We used 5 human laryngeal carcinoma cell lines whether they have deletion or losses of CDKN2 gene expression by DNA-PCR or RT-PCR, respectively. We examined 8 fresh frozen human laryngeal cancer tissues to detect the loss of heterozygosity(LOH) of CDKN2 PCR was performed by using micosatellite markers of short arm of human chromosome 9 (D9S126, D9S144, D9S156, D9S161, D9S162,D9S166, D9S166, D9S171,D9S200 and D9SIFNA).For informative cases, allelic loss was scored of the signal of one allele was significantly decreased in tumor DNA when compared to eh same allele in normal DNA. Results: the CDKN2 DNA deletion was observed in 3 cell lines. The CDKN2 mRNA expression was observed in only one cell line, which was very weak. LOH was detected in 7 cases(87.5%) Conclusion: These results suggest that CDKN2 plays a role in the carcinogenesis of human laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma

        Improvement of Pneumonia in a Patient with Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Treated with Herbal Medicine after Cessation of Antibiotics – a Case Report

        A 73-year-old non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patient admitted due to cough, sputum, and dyspnea, aggravated a week ago. She was diagnosed as pneumonia based on the assessment of inflammation markers, chest X-ray and sputum culture. Computed tomography (CT) scan was conducted to exclude malignant tumor metastasis. At the initiation of treatment, considering underlying disease and inflammation marker level, herbal medicine and antibiotics were concurrently used and antibiotics had been discontinued after 10days. Using the monotherapy of herbal medicine in the next 6 days, chest X-ray showed remarkably decreased infiltration in right middle lung and right lower lung. This case represented additional improvement of chest X-ray when treated only with herb medicine after termination of antibiotic therapy and demonstrated the possibility of applying herbal medicine in patients with limited use of antibiotics.

        화폐 단위절하(redenomination)가격표시는 늘 좋은 것일까? : 제품 컨셉유형 및 가격 폰트크기의 조절효과

        본 연구에서는 최근 외식업뿐만 아니라 다양한 영역의 매장에서 자주 사용되고 있는 화폐단위의 절하효과(redenomination effect)가 더 잘 나타날 수 있는 변수가 무엇인지에 초점을 맞추어 연구를 진행하였다. 이를 위해서 실험1에서는 화폐단위(기존가격 표시방식/화폐단위 절하방식) * 제품유형(쾌락재/실용재)의 집단간 설계를 사용하였다. 실험결과, 화폐단위와 제품 컨셉유형 간의 상호작용효과가 나타났으며, 제품 컨셉의 경우 실용재보다는 쾌락재의 경우 더 효과적임을 검증하였다. 실험 2에서는 쾌락재로만 실험자극물을 한정하여 가격의 폰트크기가 화폐단위 절하효과를 증폭시킬 것으로 예상하여, 이에 대한 조절효과를 검증하였다. 실험결과, 쾌락재의 경우 일반단위보다 화폐절하단위가 가격지각용이성에 있어 더욱더 긍정적인 것으로 나타났다. 또한 화폐단위 절하효과는 제품가격의 폰트크기가 작을수록 더 크게 나타나는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구의 결과를 통해서 살펴보면 화폐단위 절하방식은 쾌락재이면서 폰트크기가 작을수록 효과적임을 알 수 있다. This study focuses on the variables that can be influenced on the redenomination price effect which is frequently used in various retailers. Experiment 1 used the interactive design of monetary unit (existing price indication method / redenomination method) * product type (hedonic/ utilitarian products) showed that interaction effect between monetary unit and product concept type. The result note that in case of the utilitarian product, the existing price tag is more effective to the price perceptability and attitude. But the main effect is not robust. In Experiment 2, the experimental stimuli is focused to the hedonic product because the former results of experiment is not prove the main effect of hedonic product. It is predicted that the price font size would amplify the monetary unit effect. The results of experimental 2 showed that redenomination price form of the hedonic product is more positive than the general price unit form in the price perceptability. Also, the effect of the redenomination price unit form can amplify its price perceptability when the price font size is more smaller. Therefore, it can be seen from the results of this study that the redenomination method of monetary unit is more effective as the hedonic product and the smaller font size.

        심리적 거리가 여행사 패키지 상품 선호도에 미치는 영향

        Previous research have shown the effect of temporal distance in product evaluation, this article shows the effect of spatial distance and temporal distance on consumer evaluation and choice of tourism package, specially as destination is long distance or short distance, or, as the season of destination is similar or dissimilar with participant's country. According to past research, people focus on desirability attributes when they are distant psychological distance, they focus on feasibility attributes when they are near psychological distance. For example, desirability is as quality and core value of target and feasibility is as price of target and waiting time so an. This article used desirability(usage of national airplane, stay at 5 star hotel) and feasibility attributes(low price) throughout tourism package. To test hypothesis, study 1 tried to show the effect of spatial distance in the evaluation of tourism package, study 2 tried to show the effect of temporal distance on choice of tourism package. The findings revealed positive evaluation of high quality & high price package when the spatial distance is distant than near, the result reversed when the spatial distance is near than distant. To prove that people don't always prefer high quality & high price package when they go to trip in long distance place, we manipulated specially season as temporal distance. The findings revealed that participants in the opposite season condition(distant future) choose low quality & low price package than high quality & high price package. According to the result, temporal distance and spatial distance are very important to construct tourism package and this research offer practitioners with important insights into the effective marketing communication. 기존의 심리적 거리(psychology distance)연구는 시간적 거리(구매시점으로 조작)가 제품의 평가에 미치는 영향에 대해 주로 살펴보았는데, 본 연구는 해외여행을 하는 여행지의 공간적 거리의 멀고 가까움. 그리고 여행지의 계절을 시간적 거리로 조작(우리나라와 유사한지, 반대인지)하여, 이것이 여행사의 패키지 상품에 대한 태도 및 선택에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지 알아보았다. 기존연구에 의하면, 심리적 거리가 멀수록 사람들은 바람직함(desirability)속성에 해당되는, 제품의 품질과 관련된 속성에 더 집중하고, 심리적 거리가 가까울수록 실행가능성(feasibility)속성에 해당되는, 제품의 가격이나 사용의 편리함 등의 속성에 더 집중한 의사결정을 한다고 한다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 바람직함 속성과 실행가능성 속성을 여행사 패키지 상품에 맞게 구성하여, 실험 1에서는 공간적 거리에 따른 여행사 패키지 상품의 태도에 대해, 실험 2에서는 계절에 따른 시간적 거리에 의한 패키지 상품의 선택확률의 차이를 살펴보고자 했다. 실험1의 결과, 사전 국가 친숙도 및 매력도가 유사한 2개 나라 중, 공간적 거리가 가까운 나라일 경우, 여행패키지 상품이 고품질 & 고가격상품 일 때보다는 저품질 & 저가격상품일 때 더 선호되었고, 공간적 거리가 먼 나라의 경우에는 반대의 결과가 나타났다. 실험2에서는 공간적 거리가 멀 경우에는 항상 고가격 & 고품질의 상품이 선호되는 것이 아님을 증명하기 위해, 계절에 의한 시간적 거리를 조작하였다. 그 결과 여행지의 계절이 우리나라와 유사할 경우에는 반대의 경우보다 고품질 &고가격 패키지 상품의 선택확률은 줄어들었다. 본 연구결과를 통해, 여행사의 패키지 상품 구성에 있어 공간적 거리와 계절과 같은 시간적 거리의 중요성을 확인할 수 있었고, 이는 관련 마케팅 실무자에게 여러 시사점을 제공해준다.
