        호주산 Lupin 종실의 사료적 가치에 관한 연구

        In order to evaluate the nutritive value of imported lupin seed from Western Australia on the performance of the chicken, proximate and amino acid composition and total alkaloid content of lupin seed were analyzed. For 5 week feeding trial, one hundred sixty hatched male broiler chickens were randomly distributed to 16 group of 10 birds each. Four groups were placed on one of the following four experimental diets; Soybean Control diet, Unheated Lupin diet, Heated Lupin (autoclaved at 135℃ for 30 min) diet and Methionine supplemented Unheated Lupin (0.063 % of additional D,L - methionine) diet. Lupin diets included lupin seeds at the level of 20% of diets. AV experimental diets were least-cost formulated by computer to contain isocalorie and isonitrogen, and to meet essential nutritients requirements recommended by NRC. Results of the feeding trial showed that birds fed Soybean Control diet gained significantly more weight than those fed either Unheated or Heated Lupin diet (p$lt;0.05). Birds fed Lupin + Methionine diet gained less than the control until 3 weeks of age but gained more during 4th and 5th week. There was no significant differences in feed intake among treatments but feed efficiency was improved by methionine supplementation. Heat treatment slightly improved weight gain but failed to show any significant improvement in overall performance. The availabilities of dry matter and crude fat of Soybean Control were significantly (p$lt;0.01) higher than those of other treatments.

        호주산 Lupin 종실의 열량가 및 육계에서의 사용수준

        In order to determine the optimum level of Australian Lupin seed in the broiler chicken diet, metabolizable energy values were determined and a feeding trial was conducted. Metabolizable energy values determined by 28wk old roosters were 2,171 Kcal AME, 2,144 Kcal AMEn, 2,527 Kcal THE and 2,512 Kcal TMEn per ㎏ dry matter of Bound seed. In a 5 week feeding trial, 144 hatched broiler chickens were divided into 16 groups of 9 birds each. Four groups were randomly placed on one of the following 4 experimental diets; Soybean control, Lupin 7%, Lupin 14% and Lupin 21%. The result of feeding trial showed no significant differences between treatments in the weight gain, feed intake and feed efficiencies. The availabilities of dry matter, however, were significantly (P$lt;0.01) lower for those of higher Lupin seed diets (14%, 21%) than the control. The influence of the low dry matter digestibility may be counteracted by higher levels of animal fat in the formulas of high Lupin seed diets.

        생균제와 항생제가 병아리의 성장과 장내세균총에 미치는 영향

        닭에 대한 생균제 및 항생제의 성장촉진 효과 및 장내세균총에 미치는 영향을 측정하기 위하여 산란계 숫병아리 180수를 무첨가 대조구, 항생제구(virginiamycin 5ppn), 생균제구로 나누어 처리당 60수를 10수씩 battery에 완전 임의배치하여 사양실험을 하고 이어서 대사시험과 장기관 무게 및 소장내용물의 세균총 분석을 실시하였다. 실험에서 얻어진 결과에 의하면 증체량과 사료섭취량에는 처리간에 유의차가 없었으나 사료효율에 있어서는 항생제구가 생균제와 대조구에 비하여 유의하게 좋았다 (P〈0.01). 건물, 조단백질, 조지방, NEE, Ca, P의 이용율에 있어서는 처리간에 통계적 유의성이 없었으나 조섬유의 이용율은 항생제구가 유의하게 낮았다 (P〈0.05). 대사체중당 소장의 무게는 항생제구가 타 처리구에 비하여 유의하게 가벼웠다 (P〈.0.05). 맹장의 무게에 있어서 통계적 유의성은 없었으나 생균제구가 타 처리구에 비해 가벼운 경향이 있었다. 소장내용물의 세균총 변화는 생균제를 급여 한 구에서 Bacillus subtilis와 Lactobacilli 의 수가 타처리구에 비하여 유의하게 (P〈0.01) 많았으며 Coliforms 의 수는 생균제와 항생제구가 대조구에 비하여 유의하게 적었다 (P〈0.01). In order to study the effects of probiotic and antibiotic on the performance of the chickens and the population of microfloras in the intestine, a feeding trial was conducted for a period of seven weeks. One hundred eighty hatched male chickens of layer attain were fed one of the following three experimental diets; nonmedicated control, antibiotic supplemented diet(virginiamycin 5 ppm) and probiotic supplemented diet. Birds fed probiotic supplemented diets were heavier and consumed more feed than those fed other diets but the differences were not statistically significant. Antibiotic supplemented group showed significantly (P〈0.01) better feed efficiency than other groups. Availabilities of dry matter, crude protein, crude fat, NFE, Ca and P were not significantly different between treatments but antibiotic supplemented group showed significantly(P〈0.05) lower availability of crude fiber than other groups. The weight of small intestine of the birds fed antibiotic supplemented diet was significantly (P〈0.05) lighter than those of other groups. The population of Bacillus subtilis and Lactobacilli in the intestinal content of the birds fed probiotic supplemented diet were significantly (P〈0.01) larger than those of other groups. On the other hand, the population of Coliforms in the probiotic group were significantly (P〈0.01) smaller than those in the nonmedicated control group.
