Pressure drop measurement and flow visualization was performed in multi-ported rectangular channels with 0.5 mm hydraulic diameter. The working fluid was HFE-7100. An experimental facility as an closed loop was set and the measurement accuracy was verified by single-phase flow experiment which was less than 4% deviation from theoretical value. Measured pressure drop showed a similar trend of variation with respect to the change of vapor quality. Also, the visualized flow patterns presented that the flow patterns were significantly affected by the variation of vapor quality and mass flux.
판형 열교환기 내부에서 R22와 R410A의 흐름비등 열전달 계수에 관한 실험적 연구

This experimental study was performed to measure flow boiling heat transfer coefficients in a brazed plate heat exchanger. R22 and R410A were used as refrigerants in this experiment. The tested heat exchanger was operated as an evaporator. The subcooled or saturated states of refrigerants at the evaporator inlet were controlled by a pre-heater powered by electricity. A test facility was built up to measure the boiling flow heat transfer coefficients at the conditions of the average vapor quality from 0.2 to 0.65, mass flow rate of 15 g/s, saturation temperature of 25℃, and heat flux from 3 kW/m² to 11 kW/m². The refrigerant outlet quality was calculated by chilled water temperature difference and mass flow rate. Flow boiling heat transfer coefficients of R410A was up to 32% lager than those of R22. The comparison of the experimental data with the predicted values by previously presented correlations showed that the deviation was the range of from −80% to 20%.
