Vapor-liquid equilibrium data at atmospheric pressure were obtained for the acetic acid-water system containing magnesium nitrate, cupric nitrate or cadmium nitrate of various concentrations. These data were obtained with a view to ascertaining the possibility of separating acetic acid and water under condition of reversed relative volatility by extractive distillation with increasing salt concentration. The results show a considerable effect of magnesium nitrate or cudric nitrate addition, with a reversal taking place at approximately 10 weight % magnesium nitrate, and 11 weight % cupric nitrate in the liquid phase. A method of graphical representation which is facilitated the interpolation of salt concentration is proposed, and the data is examined by the simple empirical equation which correlates the salt effect.
( N-docosyl pyridinium ) - TCNQ ( 1 : 1 ) 착체의 합성과 Langmuir - Blodgett 초박막 제작

(N-docosyl pyridinium)-TCNQ(1:1) complex was synthesized by reacting N-docosyl pyridinium bromide and LiTCNQ. This complex was investigated and confirmed by elemental analysis. U.V.I.R spectra. A stability to the dispersion solvent, which is acetonitrile, dichloromethane, benzene, chloroform and acetonitrile-benzene (1:1, V/V) of (N-docosyl pyridinium)-TCNQ(1:1) complex was investigated by U.V spectrophotometer and was confirmed stabilized on acetonitrile, benzene and acetonitrile-benzene(1:1`V/V) for 7 hours. Using ultra pure water as subphase for L-B film deposition, the Y-type L-B film of (N-docosyl pyridinium)-TCNQ(1:1) complex was farbricated. The electrical conductivities on a perpendicular direction of the L-B film were measured to be 5×10exp(-5)∼5×10exp(-14) S/cm according to the number of layer.
진공 증착법에 의한 Eu ( TTA )3( phen ) 박막의 제작 및 특성 연구

Thin films of Eu(TTA)_3(phen), which was known to show red-light emitting properties, were deposited under various deposition condition. The thickness, surface morphology, and photoluminescence(PL) were measured with α-step profiler, Atomic Force Microscopy(AFM), and PL measurement apparatus. It was found that the thickness of Eu(TTA)_3(phen) film can be controlled precisely by adjusting the amounts of Eu(TTA)_3(phen) in the boat. As the thickness of these films increases, the surface roughness also increases. A structure of Al/Eu(TTA)_3(phen)*(50A°)/TPD(600A°)/ITO was fabricated, Electroluminescence(EL) spectrum of which shows the peak at the wavelength of 618nm.

The content of this paper is to present the formula to calculate easily the vapor pressure of liquid according to temperature and to estimate n satisfying equation (9) within ±5% error based on the experimental values ?? for the various groups of substances by means of digital computer, CDC 3200. 메타크릴산 메틸과 디에탄올아민의 에스테르 교환반응에 대한 음이온 촉매의 영향

The transesterification between diethanolamine and methyl methacrylate was kinetically investigated in the presence of zinc compound catalysts at 120℃. The amount of reacted methyl methacrylate was measured by gas chromatography, and the reaction rate also measured from the amount of reactants under each catalyst. The transesterification was carried out in the first order with respect to the concentration of diethanolamine and methyl methacrylate, respectively. The over-all order was 2nd. The apparent rate constant(k') was found to obey first kinetics with respect to. the concentration of catalyst. It shows that according to an increase in basicity of anionic species the rate constant increase, and that a linear relationship exists between ln k and pKa.
Schiff base 의 합성과 그의 기초적 물성에 관한 연구

In this study, a new conducting materials, namely, a Schiff base (polymeric azomethine) was synthesized from 2,6-diamino-N-docosyl pyridinium bromide and terephthalaldehyde to obtain a soluble and fusible conducting polymer. The synthesized Schiff base structure was analyzed by using UV/vis absorption spectrophotometer, FT-IR spectrometer and ^1H-NMR spectrometer. It was found that the Schiff base was successfully synthesized and solube in carbon tetrachloride(CC^14), its Langmuir-Blodgett film was easily fabricated, and its surface pressure was determined to be 30mN/m for solid state by measuring π-A isotherm.
Langmuir-Blodgett(LB)법을 이용한 (N-docosyl pyridinium)-TCNQ(1:2) 착체의 초박막 제작

본 논문에서는 Langmuir-Blodgett법으로 유기초박막을 제작하기 위하여 시료인 (N-docosyl pyridinium)-TCNQ(1:2) 작제를 합성하고 이를 초박막으로 제작한 다음, U.V측정, capacitance측정, 그리고 기판과 수직한 방향의 도전율등을 측정하여 막이 잘 이루어지고 있음을 확인하였다. 한편, 하부 전극을 Al로 할 경우 전극표면에 생기는 자연 산화막(Al$_{2}$O$_{3}$)의 두께는 37.1.angs.정도이었으며 기관과 수직한 방향의 도전율은 약 $10^{-14}$S/cm로 양호한 절연성이었다.
진공 증착법에 의한 Terbium Complex 박막의 제작 및 특성 연구

In this study, organic electroluminescent devices(OELD) with a structure of a glass substrate/ITO/TPD/Tb(ACAC)_3(Phen-Cl)/Alq_3/Al was fabricated by vacuum evaporation method, where Tb complex was known to have green light emitting property. Electroluminescent(EL) and I-V characteristics of this structure were investigated. This triple-layer structure shows the green EL spectrum at the wavelwngth of 546nm, which is almost the same as the PL spectrum of Tb(ACAC)_3(Phen_Cl). It was found in current-voltage(I-V) characteristics of the devices that the operating voltage was about 12V.
