Objective : This study was designed to estimate the effects of Rainbow Power therapy on neck pain patients by using Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) and pressure algometer. Methods : Rainbow Power therapy group consisted of 18 patients and acupuncture therapy group consisted of 7 patients. The degree of improvement of neck pain was evaluated by VAS and pain pressure threshold(at the points of Jianjing GB21 and Jianwaishu SI14) before treatment, before 3rd treatment and before 5th treatment. Rainbow Power therapy was performed at the points of Jianjing GB21, Zhongfu LU1, Yangxi LI5, Ganshu BL18, Weishu BL21 and Shenshu, BL23. Each points were stimulated with RP-UM103(Rainbow Power therapy instrument) for 20 seconds. The points of acupuncture therapy were Jeonggeun, Jeongjong, Sangbaekn and Hegu LI4 and acupuncture was maintained for 15 minutes. After above therapy dry cupping was performed at the points of Jianjing GB21, Jianwaishu SI14, Gaohuang BL43, Tianzong, SI11 and Bingfeng SI12 for 5 minutes. Results : There was no significant difference between the two groups in VAS, pain threshold of Jianjing GB21 and Jianwaishu SI14 following treatment. In the two groups VAS was significantly decreased. In Rainbow Power therapy group the pain threshold of the two points was significantly increased. But there was no significant increase in acupuncture therapy groups about the pain threshold of Jianwaishu SI14. Conclusions : The effectiveness of Rainbow Power therapy on neck pain was shown through VAS and pressure algometer. These imply that Rainbow Power therapy may be useful for neck pain. Further study is needed about Rainbow Power therapy.

적분구, 분광복사도계 등을 이용하여 램프 형태의 백색 LED에서 주입 전류에 따른 분광복사선속을 측정하였다. 주입 전류에 따라서 형광체의 발광 스펙트럼, 광 효율, 연색지수, 색온도 등이 강하게 의존하였다. 이와 같은 현상은 백색 LED의 수명 단축 및 파손과 형광체의 광 특성이 밀접한 관련성이 있음을 나타낸다.

In East-South Asia it has been said that ginseng(Panax ginseng) induces flushing and epistaxis, whereas American ginseng(Panax quinquefolius) dosen't. This study was designed to find out if ginseng really could increase flushing and epistaxis, compared with American ginseng. Double-blind randomized controlled trials on general symptom, such as flushing and epistaxis, of ginseng and American ginseng in Koreans and Chinese were performed by questionnaire. There was no significant accident or improvement in Koreans. But in Chinese dried mouth was significantly observed in placebo group and chest discomfort was significant in placebo group and American ginseng(4 years) group. In addition in Chinese chest discomfort was significantly observed in American ginseng(4 years) group and American ginseng(6 years) group. It was revealed that ginseng might not increase flushing and epistaxis.

N/A objective : This study was performed to determine if two ginseng species(Korean Ginseng and American Ginseng) could be identified by genetic analysis and to verify Pyrosequencing analyses, which was used to assess genetic variation. method : The DNAs of Panax species were extracted, and we have investigated the typing single-base variations of Panax species in DNA by using Pyrosequencing. result : The Pyrosequencing results showed clear data. American ginseng showed different pattern compared with Korean ginseng. The peak of American ginseng was very week in the first T nucleotide base but The peak of Korean ginseng was very high in the first T nucleotide base. conclusion : Pyrosequencing analysis might be able to provide the identifying the Panax species(Korean Ginseng and American Ginseng).

목적 : 본 연구는 Interleukin 10 (IL10) 유전자 다형성이 구안와사의 발병과 관련이 있는지 알아보기 위해 수행되었다. 대상: 대구한의대학교부속 한방병원에 내원한 구안와사 환자 62명과 종합건진센터에 내원한 구안와사 기왕력이 없는 건강인 104명을 대상으로 하였다 방법 : 각 그룹에서 개개인마다 DNA를 분리 정제한 후 Taq polymerase로 증폭하여 한천 겔에서 전기영동을 하여 PCR 산물을 확인하였다. PCR 산물은 Pyrosequendng 과정을 통하여 IL10의 유전형이 자동으로 판정되었다. 결과 : A/A, A/C의 두가지 유전자형이 검출되었으며 구안와사군과 대조군 사이에 유의성 있는 차이가 발견되지는 않았다(p=0.052). 또한 개별 allele 빈도에 있어서도 구안와사군과 건강인 사이에 통계적인 유의성이 나타나지 않았다(p=0.064). 결론 : 이상의 결과를 통하여 IL10 유전자 다형성은 구안와사의 발병과는 관련성이 없는 것으로 사려된다. 그러나 더 많은 구안와사 환자를 대상으로 IL10 유전자와의 연관성에 대한 후속 연구가 필요하다고 하겠다.

N/A Objective ; Generally it was known that Korean ginseng(Pm ginseng-white ginseng & red ginseng) increases body temperature, whereas Amencan ginseng(Pm quinquefolius) decreases body temperature. This study was designed to find out if Korean ginseng could increase body temperature comparing with American ginseng. Methods ; Double-blind randomized controlled trials on superficial body temperature of Korean ginseng and American ginseng in Koreans and Chineses was performed by using thermography at 10 points(Yintang(EX-HN3), Shuigou(GV 261, Danzhong(CV 17), Zhongwan(CV 12), Right Quanliao(SI 18), Left Quanliao(S1 18), Right RenyingGT 91, Left Renying(ST 9), Right Yunmen(LI 2) and Left Yunmen(LI 2). Results ; There was no significant difference between Korean ginseng and American ginseng in both Koreans and Chineses by repeated-measures ANOVA. Conclusion ; It was revealed that Korean ginseng does not increase superficial body temperature. Maybe the concept that Korean ginseng increase body temperature is concerned with commercial interests dealing with American Ginseng.
