국내 토끼풀에서 분리한 Cucumber mosaic virus의 특성

A Cucumber mosaic virus (named CMV-Tr1) isolated from the white clover (Trifolium repens) showingmosaic and malformation that found in a pepper field. Cucumber mosaic virus was identified throughconfirmation with PT-PCR, PCR-restriction fragment length polymorphism, and sequence analysisof coat protein (CP) gene. CMV-Tr1 mosaic symptom on the upper leaves of five tobacco speciesincluding Nicotiana benthamiana, Cucumis sativus, Physalis angulata, and Solanum lycopersicon. InChenopodium quinoa and Vigna unguiculata the isolate showed local lesions in inoculated leaves. CMVTr1compared with CMV-As in the sequence identity of CP gene. CMV-Tr1 showed 98.9% and 99.5%homologies at nucleotide and amino acid levels, respectively. Phylogenetic analysis of the CP geneindicated that CMV-Tr1 belongs to the CMV subgroup IB base on the CP. To our knowledge, this is thefirst report of CMV in T. repens in Korea.

A new nonlinear near-wall turbulence model is developed to predict turbulent flow and heat transfer in strongly nonequilibrium flows. The k-$\varepsilon$-f$\sub$${\mu}$/, model of Park and Sung$\^$(1)/ is extended to a nonlinear formulation. The stress-strain relationship is the thrid-order in the mean velocity gradients. The strain dependent coefficients are obatined from the realizability constraints and the singular behavior at large strains. An improved explicit heat flux model is proposed with the aid of Cayley-Hamilton theorem. This new model includes the quadratic effects of flow deformations. The near-wall asymptotic behavior is incorporated by modifying the f$\sub$λ/ function. The model performance is shown to be satisfactory.
화학공장의 배출가스 처리를 위한 RTO System 적용에 따른 문제점 연구

Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer(RTO), which was manufactured by America's Co. and built by S Co, was tested to reduce on-site problems and to improve destruction and removal efficiency(DRE) of VOCs(Volatile Organic Compounds) and heat recovery efficiency. The fume gases sucked by induced fans from the chemical processes, emission sources, were introduce to the RTO. A diesel fuel was used as an auxiliary fuel for the RTO. Gas Samples were collected on the Carbo Trap(type B) tube from the downstream of RTO and Stack at the optimal operating condition obtained though trial and error to measure the concentrations of TOC(Total Carbon) and some of major VOCs. TOC was analyzed with a Hydrocarbon Vapor Meter, and VOCs was analyzed with Gas Chromatograph. The main VOCs among the fume gases were Styrene Monomer. and their DREs were obtained upto 90% The heat recovery efficiency was improved from about 90% to 93% by coordinating the conversion cycle of poppet valve from 240 seconds to 150 seconds and changing the operation temperature of the combustor from 927˚C to 820˚C. Furthermore 95% efficiency of heat recovery was obtained by inputting an additional regenerative thermal media(Ceramic saddle) to increase the thermal capacity

Activities of cysteine sulfinate aminotransferase (CSAAT) were assessed in various tissues of cats fed one of the following experimental diets for 5 weeks : 20% protein, 0% taurine diet (LPOT) ; 20% protein, 0.15% taurine diet (LPNT) ; 60% protein, 0% taurine diet (HPOT) ; and 60% protein, 0.15% taurine diet (HPNT). Among the tissues tested, heart muscle showed the highest activity of CSAAT(μ mole glutamate·min^-1·g tissue^-1), followed by liver, kidney, skeletal muscle, spleen, brain, jejunum and ileum, regardless of the dietary treatment. CSAAT activity expressed as μ mole glutamate·min^-1·mg protein^-1 was also most high in heart muscle, followed by brain, kidney, liver, and skeletal muscle. Mean±SEM of the hepatic CSAAT activities (μ mole glutamate·min^-1·g tissue^-1) in cats fed LPOT, LPNT, HPOT and HPNT were 212±15, 213±11, 212±19, and 251±20 respectively. Mean±SEM of the cardiac CSAAT activities (μ mole glutamate·min^-1·g tissue^-1) in cats fed LPOT, LPNT, HPOT and HPNT were 422±27, 462±39, 415±18, and 429±40 respectively. These results indicate that dietary level of protein or taurine did not influence the CSAAT activity expressed as μ mole glutamate·min^-1·g tissue^-1 or μ mole glutamate·min^-1·mg protein^-1 in cat liver and heart muscle.

이 결과들은 대사성 스트레스 하에서 신경에 반응하는 AMPK의 역할을 보여주며 허혈시 AMPK의 활성화가 해로울 것임을 제시한다. 신경의 에너지 균형을 약물을 통해 조절하고 이를 통해 허혈시 AMPK활성화를 감소시키는 것은 신경 보호를 위한 혁신적인 접근이 될 것이다.
12. OLETF 쥐에서 고탄수화물 식이가 당뇨병 발생 및 췌도세포의 변화에 미치는 영향

OLETF 쥐에서 고탄수화물식이는 체중 증가와 베타세포의 파괴를 줄이고, 내당능장애의 발생빈도를 감소시켰다. 이러한 결과는 최근 한국에서 탄수화물 섭취량이 줄어든면서 당뇨병의 발병률이 증가하는 것과 어느 정도 연관이 있으리라 생각된다. 향후 OLETF 쥐에서 이러한 고탄수화물식이의 당뇨병 발생 예방 효과가 체중감소에 기인한 것인지, 식이성분 변화 자체에 의한 것인지, 또는 이 모두에 의한 것인지에 대한 연구가 필요하리라 생각된다.
