        Retention aid 첨가에 의한 rosin size degrees의 상승 효과박지혜ㆍ조병묵*ㆍ오정수동국대학교 산림자원학과ㆍ*강원대학교 제지공학과산성조건의 제지공정에서만 사용가능하던 로진 사이징은 최근의 않은 연구결과로 그 사용영역이 확대되고 있다. 이러한 로진에 관한 연구는 두가지로 집약되고 있는데 한가지가 로진 사이즈제 자체를 중성에서 알칼리성 영역까지 사용가능하게 개질하는 경우이고 다른 한가지는 높은 pH에서 안정성이 떨어지는 알람을 대신해서 사용할 새로운 모던트에 관한 연구이다. 본 연구 목적은 이러한 모던트로서의 개념이 아닌 제지공정에서 일반적으로 사용되고 있는 retention aid와 로진 사이즈제 간의 상호 기작을 연구함으로서 사이징을 위한 특별한 모던트를 고려할 필요없이 기존의 첨가제를 이용한 사이즈 도의 상승효과에 대해 연구하고자 하였다. 보류향상제의 4가지 응집기작이 사이즈도에 미치는 영향을 비교ㆍ평가하기 위해 각기 다른 종류의 retention aid를 사용하였으며 그에 따른 사이즈도 변화와 물성변화 및 보류도 변화 등을 측정하였다.

        실과 의생활 영역의 다문화교육 프로그램 개발 및 적용

        The purpose of this study was to develop an elementary muticultural education program for the clothing area of practical arts and to examine its effect on the awareness of students about multiculture. After a multicultural education program was developed to teach the clothing area of practical arts, third-grade elementary schoolers received education according to the program, and whether there were any changes in their awareness of multiculture was checked to analyze the effect of the program. In addition, the students wrote about how they felt about each learning theme of the program, and their writing was analyzed to find out how they responded to the program. The findings of the study were as follows : The multicultural education program for the clothing section of practical arts aimed at teaching students to understand and value foreign cultures and to cope with multicultural problem situations. So the program covered seven cultural components of those countries: traditional costume, traditional housing, holidays, festivals, the looks of life, animals and multicultural families. And the program was composed of sewing and design activities. As a result of implementing the multicultural education program in the clothing section of practical arts, there was a significant improvement in openness, receptivity and respect for multiculture(p<.05). When the response of the students was checked in terms of knowledge, emotion and attitude, they made progress in every aspect, and found the program to be interesting and satisfactory.         The real-world challenge and possibility of using Minhwa and applying Lin’s cultural levels in fashion design

        In the intensely competitive global fashion market, the use of cultural elements to enhance design has become increasingly widespread. However, there is a lack of research on challenges and opportunities associated with integrating cultural elements of Minhwa into fashion design. Moreover, diverse approaches to incorporate Korean cultural elements into contemporary fashion designs are still needed. This study aims to reveal the real-world challenges relating to the incorporation of Korean cultural elements, including Minhwa, into fashion design and to clarify the possibility of applying Lin’s cultural levels to cultural aspects in accordance with experts’ views. To establish a theoretical foundation, the literature review on cultural design and Minhwa studies was conducted. It analyzes Minhwa to gain an understanding of the characteristics associated with different cultural levels. In-depth interviews with fashion industry professionals and Minhwa artists were conducted to ascertain their attitudes toward Minhwa use. The study’s major findings were threefold. First, the cultural design facilitates the introduction, promotion, understanding, and maintenance of the culture. Since Minhwa offers rich inspiration linked to Korean culture, Minhwa-related designs can provide new perspectives while still having commercial potential. Second, however, the limitations of existing cultural designs included their being outdated, superficial without interpretation, unsophisticated, or limited. Furthermore, the use of Minhwa is limited since it is difficult to avoid creating superficial and unsophisticated designs in the real world. Third, approaching Minhwa at different cultural levels can promote diverse thinking and reduce the challenges of Minhwa use in design, but the major challenge remains visual expression.

        Effects of metal loading on activated carbon on its adsorption and desorption characteristics

        Metal loaded activated carbons (AC) were synthesized for an application in NH3 enrichment throughrepeated adsorption and desorption. The metal loaded activated carbons possesses higher NH3adsorption capacity than the raw AC at room temperature. Mg loaded AC (AC–Mg) showed about 10 times(6.34 mg NH3/g) higher adsorption capacity than raw AC and its adsorption capacity was maintained evenin repeated breakthrough tests. Metal loading on activated carbon increased the concentration of surfaceoxygen, which provides relatively weak adsorption sites for NH3 so that the adsorbed NH3 can be releasedrelatively easier compared to the case of raw AC.

        Association between Changes in Anthropometric Indices and in Fasting Insulin Levels among Healthy Korean Adolescents: The JS High School Study

        Background: This study investigated the association between changes in anthropometric indices and fasting insulin levels among healthy adolescents and whether the association differed by baseline obesity status. Methods: This analysis was based on data collected for the JS High School study; 884 healthy adolescents aged 15 to 16 years followed up for 24 to 30 months were included. Changes in anthropometric indices and fasting insulin levels were computed as the difference between baseline and follow-up values. Multivariate linear regression models were used to determine the association between changes in anthropometric indices and fasting insulin levels. Based on body mass index (BMI)-for-age and waist circumference (WC)-for-age percentiles, participants were classified as normal weight (<85th percentile), overweight (85th percentile to <95th percentile), or obese (≥95th percentile). Results: Changes in BMI, WC, waist-hip ratio, and waist-height ratio were significantly associated with changes in fasting insulin levels in both sexes (P<0.05). In analyses stratified by baseline obesity status, the association between change in BMI and change in fasting insulin was significantly stronger in overweight (males: standardized β=1.136; females: standardized β=1.262) and obese (males: standardized β=1.817; females: standardized β=2.290) participants than in those with normal weight (males: standardized β=0.957; females: standardized β=0.976) at baseline. Results were similar for changes in WC. Conclusion: Changes in anthropometric indices were positively associated with fasting insulin level increases. Moreover, those who were overweight or obese at baseline had a higher absolute increase in fasting insulin levels per one standard deviation unit increase in anthropometric indices than adolescents with normal weight.

      • 유동층 1 : H-11 ; TiO2를 기조로 한 나노 분말 복합체의 합성과 이들의 광촉매 효과

        Sol-Gel법을 통해 합성한 TiO2를 이용하여 박막 제조시 TiO2와 H2O의 반응으로 인하여 생성되는 백색침전을 억제하기 위하여 사용된 알콜올류의 용매가 급격한 휘발로 인하여 균열을 일으키는 문제를 일으킨다. 또한, 박막 제조를 위해 TiO2 분말을 바인더와 혼합하여 고정화시킬때 바인더로 인하여 실제 촉매반응시 활성을 나타내는 TiO2의 면적이 줄어들어 성능이 감소된다. 뿐만 아니라, TiO2의 광촉매 작용에 의하여 생성된 강한 산화제로 인하여 바인더가 열화되고 TiO2 분말이 탈착되는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 이런 단점을 극복하고자 물을 용매로 Titanium isopropoxide와 Titanium(Ⅳ) chloride를 지지체로 사용하여 균일한 입도 분포를 가진 TiO2를 Sol-Gel 공정하에서 합성하였다. 박막 제조시 TiO2의 성능을 향상시키기 위하여 Titanium(Ⅳ) chloride를 이용하여 binder를 제조하였으며 이를 현재 시판되고 있는 binder와 함께 Dipping coating법을 이용하여 유리 기판 위에 코팅하였다. 이 결과 직접 제조한 binder를 사용한 경우 TiO2의 성능이 우수함을 확인하였다. 또한, 이를 이용하여 NOx 제거성능을 살펴보았으며 Sol- Gel법으로 제조한 TiO2의 물성은 SEM, XRD, BET를 이용하여 측정하였다.
