        This study was performed to explore the family support. the quality of marital relationship, and health promoting behaviors of the mature gravidas. and to validate the relationship between them. From November, 1999 to June. 2000. mature gravidas older than 35(N=82) were recruited from K University Hospital located in Seoul and Kyungki Province. Korea. Data was collected using a self-rating method and semi-structured interview. The questionnaires were: Perceived Social Support from Family developed by Procidano & Heller (1983). Quality of Marital Index by Norton (1983). and Health Promoting Life-style Profile by Walker, Sechrist, & Pender (1987), Interviews were conducted using the interview guide with open-ended questions related to health concerns and health promoting behaviors. Data was analyzed using a pc-SAS program for quantitative data. The levels of the perceived family support and the quality of marital relationship were relatively high. The relationship between perceived family support and quality of marital relationship, and health promoting life-style behaviors was statistically significant. Six themes emerged as primary concerns for the mature gravidas during childbearing: 'Concerns related to the fetal wellbeing', 'Concerns related to fetal education', 'Concerns related to the maternal physical health', 'Concerns related to the maternal emotional health', 'Concerns related to safe delivery' and 'Concerns related to child-rearing'. Nursing implications for practice include expanding prenatal assessment inventories to address the concerns and support system of mature gravidas.

        DC 오프셋 전류 주입에 의한 4-Switch 3-Phase Inverter의 커패시터 전압 불평형 보상

        기존 6스위치 3상 인버터(SSTPI)의 한 상을 스위치 대신 커패시터로 대체한 4스위치 3상 인버터(FSTPI)에서 양 커패시터 전압의 불평형에 의한 출력전압의 오차를 보상하는 것은 FSTPI의 성능을 결정하는 중요한 요소이다. 본 논문에서는 DC 오프셋 전류 주입에 의하여 FSTPI의 커패시터 전압 불평형을 보상하는 새로운 방법과 FSTPI에 적용할 수 있는 간략화된 SVPWM 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 타당성을 검증하였다 The performance of 4-switch 3-phase inverter(FSTPI) is mainly affected by the unbalanced voltages between two capacitors which replace two switches of conventional 6-switch 3-phase inverter(SSTPI). This paper proposes a DC offset current injection method to compensate the capacitor voltage unbalance for FSTPI. A simplified SVPWM method which can be applied to FSTPI is also proposed. The validity of the proposed methods is verified by computer simulation.

        성인초기 여성의 골밀도, 생화학적 골표지자 및 골건강 관련 요인

        Purpose: This study was done to assess the bone mineral density (BMD), biochemical bone turnover markers (BTMs), and factors associated with bone health in young Korean women. Methods: Participants were 1,298 women, ages 18-29, recruited in Korea. Measurements were BMD by calcaneus quantitative ultrasound, BTMs for Calcium, Phosphorus, Osteocalcin, and C-telopeptide cross-links (CTX), body composition by physical measurements, nutrients by food frequency questionnaire and psychosocial factors associated with bone health by self-report. Results: The mean BMD (Z-score) was -0.94. 8.7% women had lower BMD (Z-score≤ -2) and 14.3% women had higher BMD (Z-score≥ 0) than women of same age. BTMs were not significantly different between high-BMD (Z-score≥ 0) and low-BMD (Z-score<0) women. However, Osteocalcin and CTX were higher in women preferring caffeine intake, sedentary lifestyle and alcoholic drinks. Body composition and Calcium intake were significantly higher in high-BMD. Low-BMD women reported significantly higher susceptibility and barriers to exercise in health beliefs, lower bone health self-efficacy and promoting behaviors. Conclusion: Results of this study indicate that bone health of young Korean women is not good. Development of diverse strategies to intervene in factors such as exercise, nutrients, self-efficacy, health beliefs and behaviors, shown to be important, are needed to improve bone health.

        대한갑상선학회, 10년, 그리고 미래

        The Korean Thyroid Association (KTA) is a multi-disciplinary organization founded by various Korean societies involved in thyroid disease. The KTA has become a foundation stone of the rapid development of the thyroidology in Korea by utilizing the characteristic of multi-discipline for the past 10 years. On February 16, 2008, the inaugural conference was held with great success. Since then, in a short period of 10 years, the number of lifetime members of the KTA reached 623. On March 29, 2012, the KTA became an approved organization by Korean Medical Association within the record time of 4 years after its establishment. In terms of patient care, mutual cooperation among experts in the various fields of thyroid disease have been promoted based on the KTA. On the academic side, the number of papers were awarded and published at international conferences or international academic journals has increased dramatically, and finally, the research on thyroid disease in Korea has reached the global level. The KTA is a multi-disciplinary society consisting of experts from various fields such as internal medicine, surgery, otolaryngology, nuclear medicine, radiology, and pathology. The reason why the KTA has achieved unparalleled growth is that all the KTA members, including senior professors who served as the president and vice president, and incumbent executives, have been harmonized and developed together. Here, we review the activities of the KTA for 10 years from its establishment, and present the future direction of the KTA.

        자연친화적 화장품 포장디자인에 관한 연구 - 국내 중저가 제품을 중심으로

        Package is not only an important mediation of products to attract customers and lead them to consume the products but also protecting the products and binding them in unit. Nevertheless, package has been misunderstood as a serious cause of pollition since now on. As a person who studies and researches the package design, I have been interested in changes of cosmetics package design. The cosmetic package design, which is the lion of package design, has been using too much mixed material so it has had problems of recycling. The most popular domestic brand maker, The Pacific Chemical, which is at the center of domestic industry and other many brandmakers has been continously proceed in the market. Comparing with popular foreign cosmetic brand, the life of domestic brand is short, and the sense of high quality is weaker than them that the factor can be related to the poor package design. Package design must give consideration of uniqueness, convinience, and good looking itself. It will be perfect if it is considered all of the above plus environmetal preservation point of view. Therefore, insisting that changes of cosmetic industry and the movement of domestic cosmetic package design should be observed, and the solution supposed to be found for futuristic cosmetic package.

        경부 경막외강내 카테테르의 X - 선상 위치 및 조영제의 확산

        N/A Continuous epidural blnck can be useful in the management of acute and chronic pain. For the most effective analgesia, it is important to localize the tip of epidural catheter and spread of the drugs. We investigated the course, location of the tip of epidural cathe- ter and the spread of radiopaque dye. Epidural catheterization was performed in 12 patients on the sitting position. Catheters were advanced by 10 cm cephalad in the cervical epidural space by median approach and radiopaque dye 3 ml was injected through the catheters. The position of cervical epidural catheters and the spread of dye was confirmed by radiography. The course of epidural catheter were: coiled 3/12(25%), loop 2/12(16.7%), straight 2/12(16.7%). In 8 cases, the tip of epidural catheters were located within one vertebral segment from the level of insertion site. Radiopaque dye spreaded average 3.68 vertebral segment to cranially and 1.67 vertebral segment to caudally from the insertion site.

        단당류와 이당류를 환원제로 합성한 은 나노입자의 Resazurin 산화환원반응 메커니즘

        나노입자는 많은 화학합성에서 중요한 촉매역할을 한다. 촉매로 이용되는 나노입자를 합성할 때 colloidal synthesis를 많이 활용하고 있다. Colloidal synthesis를 이용해 나노입자를 합성할 경우 환원제, capping agent, shape directing agent 등이 촉매에 surface poisoning을 일으켜 촉매의 특성이 낮아질 수 있으며 합성 및 분리 과정 중 유해폐기물의 발생한 다. Colloidal synthesis에서 사용되는 첨가제들의 양을 줄여 합성할 수 있는 새로운 나노입자를 합성법을 개발하여 은 나노입자를 합성하였다. 결정화 기술을 이용하여 환원제, capping agent의 양을 줄일 수 있고 더욱이 합성된 나노입자 표면의 흡착되는 물질의 양을 줄여 surface poisoning을 낮출 수 있었다. 환원제로는 단당류와 이당류를 이용하여 surface poisoning이 거의 없는 은 나노입자는 resazurin의 산화환원 반응의 촉매로 이용할 수 있어 은 나노입자를 이용한 촉매 반응의 메커니즘을 분석하였다. Nanoparticles play an important role as a catalyst in many chemical syntheses. Colloidal nanoparticles were usually synthesized with reducing, capping, and shape directing agents which induce surface poisoning of catalysts. A new green synthesis for silver nanoparticles was developed by utilizing less additives which could be a hazardous waste. A crystallization technique was employed to reduce the amount of reducing and capping agents during synthesis resulting in less surface poisoning of the nanoparticle. The synthesized Ag nanoparticles using monosaccharides and disaccharides as reducing agents could be used as a catalyst for the redox reaction of resazurin and the mechanism of the reaction using Ag nanoparticles was studied.
