Objective: With many chronic inflammatory diseases, outcomes are determined by assessing both disease activity at presentation and cumulative activity over time. Here, we investigated whether cumulative activity better reflects the radiographic progression (RP) of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) than measurement of activity at a single time point. Methods: From a prospective cohort of RA patients, most of whom were treated with anti-rheumatic drugs, we selected 117 subjects for whom laboratory, clinical, and radiographic parameters potentially influencing RP were monitored serially for more than 1 year. X-ray images of both hands and both feet were scored using the van der Heijde modified total Sharp score (mTSS). In addition to cross-sectional values at baseline, longitudinal and cumulative values for each parameter were calculated in a timeintegrated and averaged manner. Results: Among the values measured at baseline, mTSS, but not the baseline erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) or C-reactive protein level, was associated with RP. By contrast, multivariate analyses identified cumulative values such as the cumulative ESR, cumulative tender joint count, cumulative swollen joint count (SJC), and cumulative Disease Activity Score 28-ESR as major determinants of RP. In particular, the cumulative SJC showed the best predictive performance for RP. Conclusion: This study highlights the importance of cumulative indices for predicting progression of RA. Specifically, dynamic and cumulative values of RA activity-related factors, particularly the cumulative SJC, may be the major determinants of RP in the current practice.
Cognitive Radio 환경에서 메커니즘 디자인과 협상 게임을 이용한 효율적 자원 관리 기법에 대한 연구

본 논문에서는 이기적인 사용자를 관리하는 메커니즘 디자인과 분산적 처리를 위한 협상이론을 적용한 효율적인 자원 관리 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 기법은 사용 가능한 전체 자원을 사용자들의 효율, QoS 및 신뢰 값을 기반으로 자원을 분배 하고, 전체 시스템 효율을 증가 시키는 최적의 이차 사용자를 선택하여 자원을 할당한다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통하여 기존에 제안된 자원 관리 기법에 비해 본 논문에서 제안한 방법이 시스템 효율 및 사용자의 만족도에서 우수한 성능을 가지는 것을 확인하였다. In this paper, we propose an adaptive bandwidth management scheme based on the mechanism design and negotiation theory. According to the user's utility, QoS and trust value, the proposed scheme allocates total resources while dynamically controlling the selfish users. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme provides the excellent performance than the existing schemes.
동북아 경제중심 정책 추진에 따른 국내물류기업의 전략방안에 관한 연구

본 연구는 정부의 동북아 경제중심 정책 추진에 따른 물류분야의 정책 현안을 기업 입장에서 제안하여 바람직한 기업 경영환경을 조성하고, 정부의 정책변화에 발맞추어 물류기업으로서의 전략방안을 모색하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해서 동북아 지역의 물류체계현황을 제시하였고, 정부가 추진하는 동북아 물류중심 주요 정책을 파악하였으며, 물류기업에 대한 설문조사를 통해 물류기업의 인식 및 니즈를 분석하여 물류기업의 전략방안을 수립하였다. 설문분석 결과를 토대로 정부의 동북아 경제중심 정책 추진에 대한 물류기업의 전략방안을 제시하면 먼저, 핵심 거점의 확보와 물류네트워크 구축이 이루어져야 할 것이며, 둘째로, 우수한 인력을 확보하는 동시에 물류정보시스템 구축을 통하여 물류사업의 부가가치를 창출해야 할 것이며, 마지막으로는 제도개선을 유도하여 경쟁력 강화를 이루어나가야 할 것이다. The purpose of this paper is to propose, keeping pace with change of government policy, the strategies of domestic logistics corporate being followed by employing 'Northeast Asian Business Hub' policy. To do so it examines situation of logistics system in Northeast Asian region, looks into 'Northeast Asian Business Hub' policy of government and suggests strategies of domestic logistics corporate performing analysis based on Questionnaire to grasp their needs and recognitions. The conclusion is summarized as follows : Domestic logistics corporate need to preoccupy strategic logistics hub and its network, activate value added logistics business by ensuring a great manpower and building logistics information system simultaneously and strengthen competitive edge, leading the system improved.
요통 환자에서 방사선 검사와 근전도 소견의 상호 연관성

Objective: To determine the relations of spinal measurements on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), myelography and electromyography (EMG) in patients with low back pain. Method: We investigated forty four patients who were underwent both imaging and electrodiagnostic evaluation. Spinal geometric measurements in axial MRI included anteroposterior (AP) diameters of canal and thecal sac, interlaminar distance, width of lateral recess, thickness of ligamentum flavum, and the findings of a root deviation. This study investigated: 1) correlation of MRI disc herniation types with EMG and myelogram findings, 2) correlation of EMG findings with axial MRI spinal measurements and myelogram findings, 3) correlation of myelogram with axialMRI spinal measurements. Results: The MRI disc herniation types did not relate to EMG and myelogram findings. Findings of the root compression on myelogram related to the width of lateral recess and thecal sac AP diameter only (p<0.05). There were nonparametric correlations between myelogram findings and the findings of root deviation on MRI (p<0.05). Conclusion: There were little correlations between EMG findings and other imaging studies. In addition, we suggest not only the disc herniation type, but also the width of lateral recess and thecal sac AP diameter is helpful in interpreting the axial spinal MRI.

Transition metal oxide has been attracting significant attention as a potential alternative anode materialsfor high-performance lithium-ion batteries. However, the materials still suffer from poor performancedue to the large volume expansion during reversible electrochemical reaction between the materials andLi ions. Here, we report on successfully synthesized graphene encapsulated Co3O4 (GE-Co3O4) quantumdots (QDs) by a facile chemical reaction. We also demonstrate an improved performance in Li storagewith GE/Co3O4 by suppression of volume expansion during charge/discharge processes. To evaluate theelectrochemical characteristics for the lithium storage the composites were examined by cyclicvoltammetry and charge/discharge process. The GE-Co3O4 showed a large reversible capacity of820 mA h/g at a constant current density of 1000 mAg 1 even after 100 cycles and excellent rate capacityand cyclic stability compared to pristine Co3O4 QDs. The encapsulated graphene shell can obstruct thepulverization by inhibiting the volume expansion of Co3O4 QDs, which was supported by the fact that themorphology and structure of GE-Co3O4 QDs was not significantly changed after 100 cycles. We alsoconfirmed through scanning Kelvin probe microscopy, transmittance electron microscopy, and energydispersiveX-ray spectrometer that the morphology of GE-Co3O4 QDs was maintained whereas that ofCo3O4 QDs was almost fully decomposed. The encapsulation of graphene can play important roles such assuppression of volume expansion and producing a sufficient opposing force to aggregation during thecycles, resulting in a long stable life cycle.
