        근골격계 부하 평가를 위한 2차원 자세 측정 시스템 개발

        A two-dimensional posture measurement system was developed to evaluate the risks of work-related musculoskeletal disorders(MSDs) easily on various conditions of work. The posture measurement system is an essential tool to analyze the workload for preventing work-related musculoskeletal disorders. Although several posture measurement systems have been developed for workload assessment, some restrictions in industry still exist because of its difficulty on measuring work postures. In this study, an image recognition algorithm was developed based on a neural network method to measure work posture. Each joint angle of human body was automatically measured from the recognized images through the algorithm, and the measurement system makes it possible to evaluate the risks of work-related musculoskeletal disorders easily on various working conditions. The validation test on upper body postures was carried out to examine the accuracy of the measured joint angle data from the system, and the results showed good measuring performance for each joint angle. The differences between the joint angles measured directly and the angles measured by posture measurement software were not statistically significant. It is expected that the result help to properly estimate physical workload and can be used as a postural analysis system to evaluate the risk of work-related musculoskeletal disorders in industry.

      • 분산연산 방식을 이용한 이산시간 Cellular 신경회로망의 하드웨어 구현

        본 논문에서는 이산시간 cellular 신경회로망(DTCNN)의 효율적인 디지털 하드웨어 구조를 제안한다. DTCNN은 셀간의 연결 형태를 결정하는 템플릿(template)내에서 국소적이며 공간 불변적인 특징을 가진다. 이와 같은 DTCNN의 특징과 분산연산 방식을 결합하여 간단한 하드웨어와 적은 연결선으로 DTCNN 하드웨어를 구현하였다. 또한 분산연산의 특징인 비트별 연산 방식을 사용하여 셀 간의 연결을 위한 넓은 버스 폭을 단일 비트로 줄였다. 본 논문에서는 제안한 구조를 프로그래밍이 가능한 FPGA를 사용하여 가변적인 구조를 갖는 DTCNN 보드로 구현하였다. In this paper, we propose an efficient digital architecture for the discrete-time cellular neural networks (DTCNN's). DTCNN's have the locality and the translation invariance in the templates which determine the patterns of the connection between the cells. Using distributed arithmetic (DA) and the characteristics of DTCNN, we propose a simple implementation of DTCNN. The bus width in the cell-to-cell interconnection is reduced to one bit because of DA's bitwise operation. We implemented the reconfigurable architecture of DTCNN using programmable FPGA.

        IMT-Advanced 시스템의 시변 채널에서의 MMSE 기반 등화 성능 분석

        초고속 무선 인터넷 서비스에 대한 사용자의 요구가 증대되면서 차세대 이동통신의 표준화 및 연구 개발이 계속되고 있다. 4세대 이동통신인 IMT-Advanced 시스템은 정지 상태에서 1 Gbps, 이동 상태에서 100 Mbps의 전송 속도를 제공해야 하며 최대 350 km/h의 이동 중에도 안정적인 수신 성능을 보장해야만 한다. 한편, 이동 속도가 증가함에 따라 도플러 편이 역시 증가하게 되고 이로 인해 부반송파간 간섭이 증대되어 궁극적으로 수신 성능의 저하를 야기하게 된다. 이에, 이 논문에서는 IMT-Advanced 시스템의 무선접속규격을 준용하는 채널 환경에서 수신기의 등화 기법에 따른 수신 성능을 평가하고 분석한다. 이동속도와 부호율을 변경하면서 수행한 컴퓨터 모의실험에 따르면 MMSE 기반의 등화 기법을 적용하여 수신할 경우 단일 탭 등화 기법을 적용할 경우보다 시변 채널에 의한 성능 저하를 대폭 완화시킬 수 있음을 고찰할 수 있다. As the user's demand for ultra high-speed wireless internet has increased, the standardization, research and development of future mobile communication systems have been done for several years. IMT-Advanced system which is called fourth generation mobile communication should support the data rate of 1 Gbps for nomadic users and 100 Mbps for mobile users. Also, the system should hold call connection at the mobile speed of 350 km/h. Meanwhile, since Doppler spread is linearly proportional to mobile speed, high mobility leads to the increase of interference between subcarriers and the deterioration of detection performance consequently. In this paper, we evaluate and analyze detection probability with respect to equalization methods in time-varying channels under system parameters complying with IMT-Advanced requirements. According to computer simulation conducted by varying mobile speed and code rate, MMSE based equalization can mitigate performance degradation of IMT-Advanced system considerably in time-varying channels.

        안와가성종양의 임상분류와 치료

        Purpose: To evaluate the clinical characteristics and results of outcomes in different types of orbital pseudotumor. Methods: This study included 62 patients diagnosed with orbital pseudotumor between 2002 and 2007, who were followed-up for more than 6 months. The pseudotumor was classified into anterior, diffuse, apical, myositic, or lacrimal types according to computed tomography (CT) findings. All patients were initially treated with corticosteroids and checked for symptom improvement and response to the corticosteroids. Results: Lacrimal type pseudotumor (61%, 39/62) showed the highest incidence, and lid swelling (97%, 60/62) was the most common symptom. Response rate to corticosteroid treatment was 84%, and the recurrence rate was 29%. Conclusions: The orbital pseudotumors were localized by computed tomography and classified to compare the symptoms, treatment efficacy and recurrence rates between the different types. The orbital pseudotumor is most commonly diagnosed based on clinical symptomsand radiologic features without biopsy. The orbital pseudotumor showed a good treatment response but also a high recurrence rate. Therefore, when starting treatment, it is important to consider differential diagnosis. It is recommended to carefully examine patients who have lid swelling for a few weeks with computed tomography before using corticosteroid treatment. J Korean Ophthalmol Soc 2008;49(9):1379-1386

        터보코드의 복호화 기법

        In this paper we propose a new iterative decoding method of turbo code which computes the log-likelihood ratios at each MAP (maximum a posteriori) decoder in parallel in each iteration step and combines them with proper weights to produce better decisions. Our results indicate that the proposed decoding method is particularly useful for systems with limited number of iterations and low code rates.

      • 음성 인식을 이용한 지능망 기반 일기예보 서비스 개발

        A weather forecast service with speech recognition is described. This service allows users to get the weather information of all the cities by saying the city names with just one phone call, which was not provided in the previous weather forecast service. Speech recognition is implemented in the intelligent peripheral (IP) of the advanced intelligent network (AIN). The AIN is a telephone network architecture that separates service logic from switching equipment, allowing new services to be added without having to redesign switches to support new services. Experiments in speech recognition show that the recognition accuracy is 90.06% for the general users' speech database. For the laboratory members' speech database, the accuracies are 95.04% and 93.81%, respectively in simulation and in the test on the developed system.

      • 무선랜 환경에서의 분산 음성 인식을 이용한 음성 다이얼링 시스템

        In this paper, a WiFi phone system with distributed speech recognition is implemented. The WiFi phone with voice-activated dialing and its functions are explained. Features of the input speech are extracted and are sent to the interactive voice response (IVR) server according to the real-time transport protocol (RTP). Feature extraction is based on the European Telecommunication Standards Institute (ETSI) standard front-end, but is modified to reduce the processing time. The time for front-end processing on a WiFi phone is compared with that in a PC.

        WMAN 시스템의 이중 이진 구조 터보부호 인터리버 최적화 설계 및 성능 분석

        이중 이진 구조의 터보부호는 우수한 성능을 기반으로 무선 도심영역네트워크(wireless metropolitan area networks, WMAN)를 포함한 각종 차세대 통신 시스템의 표준으로 채택되고 있다. 이러한 이중 이진 구조 터보부호를 구성하는 요소 중의 하나가 인터리버인데 802.16 d/e 시스템의 경우 유사정형순환(almost regular permuation, ARP) 인터리버를 사용하고 있으나 파라미터들이 최적화 되어 있지 않다. 이에 본 논문에서는 인터리빙 파라미터 최적화를 위해 인터리빙 전, 후의 공간적 거리, 스프레드, 부호어 간의 최소 거리를 고려한 세 가지 최적화 방안을 제시하고 각각의 경우에 있어서 최적의 파라미터들을 찾는다. 성능 평가를 위해 가산성 백색가우시안 잡음 환경에서 시뮬레이션을 수행하였으며 기존 파라미터에 의한 성능과 제안 방법들에 의해 최적화된 파라미터들을 적용한 성능들을 비교, 분석하였다. 제안 파라미터를 적용할 경우 블록 크기에 따라 최대 1.0 dB의 전력 이득을 얻을 수 있음을 검증하였으며, 이러한 이득은 단순한 파라미터 변경 만으로 이루어지므로 기존 시스템의 복잡도를 전혀 증가시키지 않는다. Double-binary turbo code has been adopted as an error control code of various future communication systems including wireless metropolitan area networks(WMAN) due to its powerful error correction capability. One of the components affecting the performance of turbo code is internal interleaver. In 802.16 d/e system, an almost regular permutation(ARP) interleaver has been included as a part of specification, however it seems that the interleaver is not optimized in terms of decoding performance. In this paper, we propose three optimization methods for the interleaver based on spatial distance, spread and minimum distance between original and interleaved sequence. We find optimized interleaving parameters for each optimization method and evaluate the performances of the proposed methods by computer simulation under additive white Gaussian noise(AWGN) channel. Optimized parameters can provide up to 1.0 dB power gain over the conventional method and furthermore the obtainable gain does not require any additional hardware complexity.

      • 청년층의 학력과잉 실태와 임금에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study is to find the difference of status of youth overeducation and to analyze the impact on the wage between before and after the financial crisis. In this study, we adapt the following method; first, we merge the 1996 and 2002 data from 『the Survey Report on the Wage structure』 with the 2003 data from 『the Occupational dictionary』 by occupation group. Second, we match the two wage data with the data from the Occupational dictionary. So that we could find the difference between the youth over educational status in 1996 and that in 2002. Third, we investigate the reason why the difference occur. Forth, we try to find the difference between the impact of the overeducation on the wage in 1996 and that in 2002. The results are followings; First, the degree of overeducation in 2002 is more than in 1996. However, the financial crisis play the role to reduce the degree of overeducation. This means that if the financial crisis has not occurred, the degree of the overeducation in 2002 is much more than in 1996. Second, the wage rate of overeducated worker is higher than that of required educated worker but these finding are reversed, so that the wage rate of overeducated worker is lower than that of the required educated worker. Such a finding means that even though the both wage rate of the overeducated and required educated worker are increased, the wage rate of the required educated worker is much more increased than that of overeducated worker after the financial crisis.
