The purpose of this study was to investigate the performance of the recumbent bicycle. The recumbent bicycle is a type of bicycle usually used to train or exercise a patient or the elderly. A recumbent bicycle was specially constructed for this study by researchers. The speed and power can be recorded and displayed on the monitor of the recumbent bicycle. The experiments consisted of four steps with different start-knee angle (α=85°, 105°, 125°, 145°). The activation and force of lower limb muscles were measured and calculated using an electromyography (EMG) and a computer simulation respectively. The maximum of intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC) and their differences were calculated to compare between the data of different muscles. The data obtained from test and retest was shown to have a good reliability on all of the measured muscles. The ICC is 0.93 for biceps femoris (BF) of step 2 (α=105°). The maximum muscle activation and muscle force were also measured at step 2. The BF EMG of step 2 was shown to be significantly different (p<0.05) from other steps. Overall, the recumbent bicycle was shown to be similar in function with an upright bicycle. The frequency use of the recumbent bicycle is predicted to increase for a patient and the elderly due to stable seat structure which have bucket shape.
항암제 사용 환아에서 수두에 대한 Acyclovir 치료 효과

수두는 면역 기능이 저하된 소아에서는 전신성 감염과 사망까지 초래하는 질환으로 알려져 있다. 최근에 Aryclovir가 효과적인 약물로 사용되고 있다. 본원 소아과에서 면역 기능이 저하된 9명의 환아를 대상으로 Acyclovir를 사용하여 만족할만한 결과를 얻었기에 이를 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Primary varicella infection has usually a benign clinical course in the normal healthy population, but in the immunocompromised patients it may frequently progress to visceral dissemination and even to death. Since acyclovir is recently known to be an effective antiviral agent to chickenpox, we performed a clinical study to evaluate the effect of acyclovir therapy on the chickenpox in the immunocompromised patients. Nice immunocompromised patients wish chickenpox were treated wish intravenous administration of acyclovir 30-60 mg/kg daily for five to eight days. Eight patients entered to the study within 72 hours after onset of skin lesion. One of them had abnormal liver function at entry and another one had pneumonia as a complication during treatment. Only one patient of nine, to whom acyclovir treatment was delayed until five darts after onset of skin lesion, died of extensive dissemination of the disease. The duration of vesicle formation was shorter among acyclovir recepients on the first day of onset than on the third day of onset(p<0.05), but no difference was found on the duration of fever between two groups(p>0.2). No clinical or laboratory adverse reactions were found during acyclovir therapy. These data suggest that acyclovir is effective on the treatment of chickenpox in the immunocompromised patients when it is given early in the course of the infection.

Non-invasive cell-substrate impedance sensing technique was used to monitor cancer cell attachment, spreading and proliferation as function of culture time. Impedance values were measured with cells cultured on collagen coated surface which exhibited moderate contact angle (54.5) and positively charge surface with the zeta potential (ζ) of +3.91 mV. Impedance was gradually increased and reached steady state after 2.6 hrs and 2.9 hrs with different impedance for SCC7 (2.7 Ω) and HeLa cells (1.1 Ω) respectively. Modified Gompertz mathematical growth model was used to determine growth kinetics, and showed maximum growth rate (μm) for SCC7 (7.9× 10-4 hr-1) and HeLa cells (2×10-5 hr-1) as well as both cells showed exponential increase of impedance following the lag period (λ) which required for cells to recover from the trypsinization and initiate attaching on electrode surface. The duration of lag period for SCC7 (0.7 hr) and HeLa cells (0.25 hrs ) demonstrated that HeLa cells exit lag period earlier than SCC7 cells and enter exponential growth which supports the rapid attachment and spread on substrate. Our result supported that the impedance measurement revealed cell-type specific growth characteristics and electrophysical properties that would be used to determine meaningful fingerprint for cancer cell study.

The emergency power supplies (EPSs) are required to increase battery sizing for protecting power source loss above designed criteria. This study proposes a sizing method for lithium-based batteries for EPSs in nuclear power plants on the basis of the calculation method for the required energy under variable conditions. The variable conditions are related with the characteristics of lithium-based batteries, such as the temperature of the location of EPS installation, aging, and design margin. The usage of lithium-based battery reduces the cost and installation space and enables the safe and long-term supply of power compared with the use of lead-acid battery.

프로그램 소스코드를 표절하는 것은 소프트웨어의 지적재산권을 침해하는 행위이다. 표절을 감추기 위하여 소스코드의 구조를 일부 바꾸거나 변수 명을 바꾸는 등의 수단을 쓰기도 하기 때문에 표절을 검출하기란 쉽지 않은 일이다. 표절 행위를 막기 위해 이를 검출하기 위한 여러 가지 방법들이 고안되었으며 대부분 프로그램의 소스코드를 다양한 방법으로 분석하여 표절 검출하려고 한다. 본 논문에서는 소스 코드에 기반하지 않고 실행중인 프로그램의 메모리 액세스 로그 분석을 통해 알고리즘 유사도를 측정하여 프로그램의 표절 여부를 검출하는 새로운 방법을 제시한다. 두 프로그램의 메모리 액세스 로그는 일반적인 스트링 비교 알고리즘을 이용하여 분석될 수 있으며, 본 논문에서는 일반적인 방법보다 특성화된 방법을 제시한다. 이를 통해 메모리 액세스 로그가 프로그램의 표절 검출도구로서 사용되어질 수 있음을 보여준다. Program Plagiarism is an infringement of software copyright. In detecting program plagiarism, many different source program comparison methods has been studied. But, it is not easy to detect plagiarized program that made a few cosmetic changes in program structures and variable names In this paper, we propose a new ground-breaking technique in detecting plagiarism by Memory Access Log Analysis.

Background and Objectives:With the availability of more sensitive ultrasonography, a larger number of nonpalpable thyroid d nodule. The purpose of this study is to investigate the clinical significance of thyroid incidentaloma and the usefulnes of the USG-FNA in the management of thyroid incidentaloma. Subjects and Method:A retrospective study was performed on 208 pa-tients who underwent USG-FNA for thyroid incidentaloma smaller than 1.5 cm from 2001 to 2005. The cytologic findings were compared with the ultrasonographic findings and the surgical pathology. Results:Suspicious malignant sonographic findings cytologicaly diagnosed as benign lesion (76.4%), 7 cases as follicular neoplasm (3.3%), 33 cases as malignancy (15.8%), and 9 cases as inadequate specimen (4.4%). Of the 40 cases with folicular neoplasm and malignant cytology, 37 cases underwent sur-gery and 30 cases were confirmed to malignancy on the postoperative pathologic diagnosis. In the cases diagnosed to malig-nancy on pathology, extracapsular extension was present in 9 cases (30% ) (26.7%). The sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of the USG-FNA for malignancy were 93.3%, 71.4%, and 89.1%, respectively. Conclusion:USG-FNA is a useful diagnostic tol in the management of thyroid incidentaloma especially when more than two suspicious malig-nant sonographic findings need to be detected. The clinical characteristics is not significantly diferent between palpable and nonpalpable nodules. (Korean J Otorhinolaryngol-Head Neck Surg 2007 ;50 :622-6)

While the strategic competition between the United States and the People’s Republic of China (PRC) intensifies, the Chinese government has increased investment in the film industry in order to improve the country’s image and cultural influence in the world. China’s investment in the U.S. film industry includes the government’s intervention in the production and distribution of films. That is, the PRC exerts its influence in the global film industry by imposing strict censorship of the film contents and banning or restricting the screening of movies. This study delves into how China's strategy in the film industry has developed as a projection of sharp power. It also examines slow responses from the United States to the Chinese sharp power effort and discusses the implications of such dynamics for the U.S.-China competition. 미국과 중국의 경제적, 군사적 전략경쟁이 심화하고 있는 가운데, 중국은 영화산업에 대한 투자를 증가시키고 있다. 중국은 영화를 통해 자국의 이미지 상승을 꾀하고 있으며, 미국의 영화산업에 대한 투자로 영화 제작과 배급에 개입하고 있다. 또한, 중국 내부에서는 해외 영화를 검열하거나 영화 상영에 제한을 두는 방법으로 글로벌 영화산업에서 영향력을 행사하고 있다. 본 연구는 국제정치학적 관점에서 중국이 샤프 파워의 투사로 영화를 이용하고 있음을 보여준다. 이에 대한 미국의 대응은 다소 느리게 진행되고 있음을 제시하며, 미중갈등에 어떠한 의미가 있는지 논의한다.
