골프 동호인들의 사회적 지지와 심리적 욕구 및 운동만족의 구조적 관계

        박병국(Byung Kook Park),강대성(Dae Sung Kang) 한국사회체육학회 2012 한국사회체육학회지 Vol.0 No.48

This study was conducted in order to examine the effects of social support and psychological Needs on golf club members` exercise satisfaction and their social and psychological characteristics by analyzing the relation between major others` social support perceived by golf club members, their psychological Needs and their exercise satisfaction through a structural equation and performing multi-group analysis with a research model according to gender and golf experience. For this purpose, The 192 golf club members` response data were coded, and then the validity of the questionnaire tested and the collected data were analyzed. Eigenvalue, factor loading and reliability were obtained from exploratory fact or analysis on the social support, psychological Needs and exercise satisfaction scales, and all the results were found to be valid. Based on the results of the 1st validity test, the 2nd validity test was performed on the scales through confirmatory factor analysis and the results confirmed that the factor structure of the scales was stable. Therefore, in order to test multiple correlations among the sub factors of the formulated research model, we performed multidimensional canonical correlation analysis among the variables and tested the relation between social support and psychological Needs, and by doing so, confirmed the high correlation between material support and relationship and relatively low association between information support and competence. What is more, in the relation between social support and exercise satisfaction, high association was observed between emotional support and athletic ability, and physical appearance showed relatively low association. Lastly, in the relation between psychological Needs and exercise satisfaction, a high multiple correlation was inferred between relational Needs and psychological stability and the inference was confirmed by the sub-factors of the research model showing multidimensional characteristics. As the correlation among the variables of the research model was confirmed, we tested the structural compatibility of the formulated research model. In t he results, social support was found to have a significant effect on psychological Needs and exercise satisfaction, but psychological Needs did not moderate the relation between social support and exercise satisfaction. Thus, in order to analyze differences in the paths of the research model according to gender and experience, we performed multi-group analysis and found that all the paths were significant and that psychological Needs moderated exercise satisfaction effectively. In case of female club members, however, such paths were not observed. In addition, the paths of social support and exercise satisfaction were significant in less experienced ones, showing that exercise satisfaction may be affected by social support more in the inexperienced group than in the experienced group.
