A 15-year old girl developed propylthiouracil-induced hepatitis documented as chronic active hepatitis by liver biopsy, who had suffered from Graves' disease for 1 year and treated with propylthiouracil. The result of lymphocyte transformation test was negative which was performed after 3 months of onset of hepatitis(J Kor Soc Endocrinol 10: 289-294, 1995).

Background : Oncogene expression in Paget's disease of the breast is not well known. To characterize invasive ductal carcinoma associated with Paget's disease, we studied expression of anaphase promoting complex (APC) with its regulatory proteins. Methods : Immunohistochemical stainings were done with 10 cases of invasive ductal carcinoma associated with Paget's disease for APC, pituitary tumor transforming gene (PTTG), cyclin B1, p53, cyclin D1, and c-erbB-2. The expressions of these markers in Paget's disease were compared with those in the associated with carcinoma. Results : APC, PTTG, cyclin B1, and c-erbB-2 were positive in all of the cases with both Paget's disease and underlying carcinoma. p53 was expressed in Paget's disease of 6 cases (60%) and in carcinoma of 7 cases (70%). Cyclin D1 was positive in Paget's disease of 8 cases (80%) and in carcinoma of 9 cases (90%). Conclusions : Breast carcinomas with Paget's disease seem to be distinguished by the high expression of APC, cyclin B1, PTTG, c-erbB2, and cyclin D1 in contrast to breast cancers without Paget's disease. Furthermore, the similar expression patterns of APC and APC regulatory proteins in both Paget's disease and underlying breast cancer support the epidermotropic theory as its pathogenetic mechanism.
가속 열 노화시험에 의한 탄성받침용 합성고무의 수명 예측에 관한 연구

We performed the heat aging test to predict the useful lifetime of Elastomeric Bearing Chloroprene Rubber (CR) used for supporting bridge. During the test, we measured elongation that are influenced by temperature and aging time. The failure of a test piece is defined as the point at which the elongation reaches to 75% of the initial value. This failure criterion is based on KS F 4420: 1998 (Elastomeric Bearing for bridge). Through the accelerated heat aging test, we found that the Arrhenius relationship and the Weibull lifetime distribution are appropriate as the life-temperature relationship and lifetime distribution of the CR, respectively. Using the Arrhenius -Weibull model, the parameters of the model are estimated and the lifetime of the CR at use condition is predicted.
노인요양시설 건강관리서비스 종사자의 직무특성과 직무스트레스 및 조직몰입이 직무만족에 미치는 영향

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify factors affecting job satisfaction of health care service practitioner. Methods: Participants were 241 health care service practitioner in elderly care facility of Busan, Ulsan. Data were collected from January 1st to 31th, 2013 using the scales of measurements of job satisfaction, job characteristic, job stress, and organizational commitment . Results: There was significant difference according to general characteristic in age, marital status, religion, satisfaction to current division, having experience of residence with elderly, actual experience of residence with elderly, and consideration of job change. There was light positive correlation between job characteristic and job satisfaction(r=.35, <i>p</i>=.001). light negative correlation between job stress and job satisfaction(r=-.28, <i>p</i><.001), and strong positive correlation between organizational commitment and job satisfaction(r=.65, <i>p</i><.001). Of factors affecting job satisfaction of subject, organizational commitment was 41.1% of explanation power(<i>ß</i>=.43) which was the most and it combined with improper reward/treatment. Job characteristic, and satisfaction to current division totally has 51.7% of explanation power. Conclusion: Organizational commitment was the most affecting factor to job satisfaction. It is assumed that intervention program to improve organizational commitment and to increase job satisfaction of health care service practician in elderly care dacility.
