        닭에서 분리한 Clostridium perfringens의 독소형

        Clostridium perfringens has been identified as a causative organism in necrotic enteritis in chicken. The bacterium has been classified into five toxigenic types (A through E) based on the pattern of the production of major lethal toxins. Seroneutralization with mice or guinea pigs usually has been used to type the organism. Of the types, types A and C of the bacterium had been recognized as the major pathogenic types in chicken. In this experiment, we isolated nine field strains of C perfringens from chicken showing necrotic enteritis in clinical symptoms and pathologic findings and identified by biochemical tests. In order to type the organism, a multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was used with primers on major lethal toxin genes instead of seroneutralization. Amplification of only a toxin gene with the PCR suggested that the disease in chicken was due to type A of C perfringens in Korea. Furthermore, the PCR method can be replaced with seroneutralization to type C perfringens in future.

        국내(國內) 닭의 괴사성 장염 발생에 관한 연구

        This study was carried out to investigate the necrotic enteritis of chicken in Korea. Epidemiological, pathological and microbiological examination were done on 12 naturally occurred cases of necrotic enteritis of chicken. And the susceptibility of isolated bacteria to antimicrobial agents was also examined. The results obtained were as follows; 1. The Clostridium perfringens infection, necrotic enteritis of chicken, occurred in the chickens mainly raised in floor pens. Necrotic enteritis of chicken was occurred coincidently with coccidiosis and Gumboro disease frequently. And several cases were recurred at 2-3 weeks after recovery. 2. Clinical signs of the infected chickens were depression, decreased appetite, reluctance to move, diarrhea, ruffled feathers and acute death within several hours. 3. The characteristic biochemical properties of isolates were 2-band hemolysis, no motility, positive reaction of reverse CAMP test and the formation of LV precipitate in egg yolk medium. 4. Gross lesions of the infected chickens were distention of intestine with gas, thickened mucosa and formation of thick pseudomembrane in intestine. Livers were friable with yellowish brown color and, in some case, showed demarcated necrotic foci. 5. Histopathological findings of the infected chickens were severe necrosis of the intestinal mucosa and attachment of numerous large bacilli to the mucosal surface of necrotic villi. In liver, necrosis of liver tissue and numerous large bacilli in the necrotic foci were also observed. 6. In susceptibility test to antimicrobial agents, 12 isolates of Clostridium perfringens were highly sensitive to ampicillin, baytril, cephalothin and penicillin.

        국내 추백리 발생역학 및 감염계로부터 분리한 Salmonella pullorum의 특성

        Pullorum disease caused by Salmonella pullorum, has been considered as one of the most important diseases in both clinically and economically in poultry industry since it had been firstly reported in 1925 in Korea. This disease is still problem in the industry in this country even though several attempts have been made to eradicate the disease. As one of the trials to solve the problem, we investigated the pattern of the outbreak of the disease, isolated the causative agent, S pullorum and tested biochemical properties, antimicrobial susceptibility and plasmid profiles of the isolates. Outbreak of the disease based on the species was the highest in layer followed by in Korean native chick, and broiler. Daily mean mortality in vertical transmission (0.90%) was higher than that in horizontal (0.14%). There was no seasonal difference in the outbreak. Also, biochemical properties and antimicrobial susceptibility pattern of the isolates were same. However four different plasmid profiles of the isolates were observed. These results suggested that S pullorum isolates were different in the genotype while they were same in phenotypes.

        온라인 광고 팝업 유형에 대한 사용자 선호도 조사

        인터넷의 발달로 광고의 형태가 다양하게 나타남에 따라 이용자들에게 불편을 주는 광고들도 늘어나고 있지만, 광고주의 수익 등의 이유로 계속 사용되고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 팝업 광고에 대한 사용자들의 부정적 인식개선을 위하여, 선행연구에서 10가지의 팝업 광고유형 도출 후, 63명을 대상으로 모바일 화면으로 제작한 팝업 광고를 시청하는 영상을 제공하여 선호도에 관한 설문을 시행하였다. 연구결과, 팝업광고유형에 따른 선호도는 1) 생성 유형에서는 ‘페이지로딩 시 기사를 가리면서 생성되는 팝업’이, 2) 스크롤 유형에서는 ‘스크롤 시 따라오지 않는 팝업’이, 3) 닫기유형에서는 ‘다시 보지 않기 기능 + 닫기 버튼으로 제거 팝업’에 대한 선호도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 사용자 유형의 경우, 재미추구형> 실리추구형> 적극적 정보추구형 순으로 팝업 광고에 대한 선호도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 비관련과 관련은 차이가 있지만, 사용자 유형에 따른 상호작용 효과가 있지는 않았다. 본 연구결과에서 제시하는 가이드라인의 적절한 활용을 통해 팝업 광고 사용자의 불편함을 줄여주는데 도움이 되길 기대하며, 차후 연구에서는 복합적인 팝업 유형에 대한 연구가 진행되어야 할 것이다. As the Internet has developed in various forms of advertising, the number of ads that are causing inconvenience to users is increasing, but they are still being used because of advertisers ' profits and so on the other hand. Therefore, this study provided the user with negative perception of pop-up ads, and drew 10 pop-up ads in the prior study. The study found that the preference by the type of pop-up ad was 1) for the generation type, and 2) the popup generated by blocking the article while the scroll type was not followed by the click 3. In the case of user types, the preference for pop-up ads was found to be low in the order of fun seeking professiona l&active informations-oriented users. Finally, the relationship between pop-up ads and the pages below varied from non-communicative to non-comm unication, but did not have an interaction effect de.

        Applications of Satellite Imagery to Surveying Archeological Sites and Remains

        선조의 유골 매장지와 함께 고구려 왕조($37BC{\sim}771AD$)의 산성과 이조 왕조($1392{\sim}1910AD$) 때의 봉화대와 같이 중국 동북부 지역 만주와 한반도에 산재한 유적지들의 소재지들을 확인하기 위해 위성영상을 적용했다. 이러한 유적지에 관한 정보는 여러 문헌들에서 접하게 되지만 이들 문화제의 실체들은 최근의 지역 개발 프로그램들에 의해 점차 사라지고 있는 실정이다. 이번에 답사하면서 측정한 위성위치정보(GPS) 자료를 사용하여 위성영상에서 일부 역사 유적지들의 위치를 확인해 보았다. 이들의 상세한 위치 정보는 좀 더 확인이 필요할 것으로 판단된다. Satellite imagery was applied to locating archeological sites and remains around northeastern areas of China, called as Manchuria, and Korean peninsular, such as Mountain Fortress of Goguryeo Dynasty era($37BC{\sim}771AD$), and firing torch and smoke beacon signal sites at mountain tops in Josun Dynasty era($1392{\sim}1910AD$) as well as burial sites below the ground level in the modern era. Information on archeological sites, fire posts and burial places could be found in various literatures, but real figures of such cultural assets have been disappearing due to land development programs and human activities in recent years. Some of these historical sites were identified in satellite images using GPS(Geographical Positioning System). Real locations of these sites would be further necessary to be verified.

        가금인플루엔자 바이러스 항체검출을 위한 혈청학적 진단법 비교

        An enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) using purified hemagglutinin of swine influenza virus (H1N1) as antigen was developed for detection of antibody to avian influenza virus (AIV). The sensitivity and specificity of a developed and commercial available ELISA kits were compared with those of agar gel precipitation (AGP) test and hemagglutination inhibition (HI) test using sera collected from chickens under condition of field exposure. The concentration of antigen, serum dilution and concentration of enzyme-conjugated secondary antibody in developed ELISA (S-ELISA) were 0.5ug/100ul, 1:200 and 0.03ug/100ul, respectively. The correlation coefficients between S-ELISA and commercial ELISA and HI titers were 0.419 and 0.533, respectively. A significant correlation (p < 0.01) was not found between HI and ELISA titers. The S-ELISA was found to be as more sensitive and specific than the AGP test, showing 86.8% sensitivity and 85.3% specificity. It is suggested that the ELISA using the SIV as antigen may be useful method as an investigating tool for AIV serological surveillance.

        국내(國內) 돼지의 Clostridium perfringens type C 감염증에 관한 연구

        Thirteen strains of Clostridium perfringens were isolated from the pigs with hemorrhagic enteritis. The characteristics of the outbreaks, clinical signs and lesions were examined. The biochemical properties, type of toxin and susceptibility to antimicrobial agents of the isolates were investigated. The results could be summarized as follows ; 1. Almost of the pigs affected with hemorrhagic enteritis, 17 cases examined from 1989 to 1992, were piglets less than 7 day old. 2. The average mortality rate of piglet less than 7 day old affected with hemorragic and necrotic enteritis was 48.5%. 3. The clinical signs of pigs with hemorrhagic enteritis were depression, hemorrhagic diarrhea, anemia and dehydration. Necropsy of the infected pigs showed typical hemorrhage of upper intestine and necrosis of mucosal membrane. 4. The characteristic biochemical properties of the isolates were 2-band hemolysis, positive reaction of reverse CAMP test and formation of LV precipitate in egg yolk medium. 5. The toxin type of the 13 isolates, investigated by mouse inoculation test, was all type C strains of Clostridium perfringens. 6. In susceptibility test to antimicrobial agents, 13 isolates of Clostridium perfringens were highly sensitive to ampicillin, enrofloxacin(Baytril), cephalothin, penicillin and trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole.

        가금에서 분리한 Salmonella속 균의 항균물질에 대한 감수성 및 plasmid profile

        In this study, we aim to find the presence of virulence-related plasmid in Salmonella isolates from poultry, and the difference between S pullorum and S gallinarum on the plasmid profile and antibiotics resistance. We used seventeen isolates of Salmonella spp that were isolated from poultry. Thirteen isolates, S typhimurium(ST), S pullorum(SP) and S gallinarum(SG), contained virulence-related plasmids. These are 95Kd plasmid in ST and 85Kd plasmid in SP and SG. Three(1/4 of ST, 1/1 of SE, and 1/9 of SP) isolates have no detectable plasmids. The isolates of ST have relatively variable plasmid profile but the isolates of S pullorum except No 12(additional 3.0Kb plasmid) have common 85K6, 8.1Kb, 4.0Kb and 2.3Kb plasmid and two of three isolates of S gallinarum have common 85Kb, 4.0Kb and 2.3Kb plasmid but the rest has only 85Kb plasmid. Interestingly, all of the isolates of SP have 8.1Kb plasmid, and same size of plasmid is also found in one of ST isolates. All of the isolates have the resistance to penicillin, chloramphenicol, rifampicin, streptomycin, sulfamethazine and some isolates show the resistance to ampicillin and tetracycline. There is no relatedness between plasmid profile and antibiotics resistance and no differences between SP and SG in antibiotics resistance. Therefore further differentiation of each isolates by restriction enzyme assay and, if possible, charaterization of each plasmid, especially, 8.1Kb plasmid in SP and ST, may be necessary.

        Polymerization chain reaction과 Southern hybridization을 이용한 Salmonella속 균의 신속한 검출

        Salmonella species are the most prevalent etiologic agents of food-borne acute gastroenteritis. Direct isolation of bacteria from the contaminated food, stool and animal tissues has been used for the diagnosis of salmonellosis routinely. However, isolation of bacteria is time consuming work and not so highly sensitive. In recent years, improved methods of polymerization chain reaction(PCR) and probe hybridization technique have led to the developement of diagnostic assays which employ to detect various human and animal pathogenic bacteria. In this study, we have performed the polymerization chain reaction to detect Salmonella pullorum from tissues and stool samples of chickens with two specific primers, ST5 and ST8C. The target DNA fragment of PhoE gene was successfully amplified from liver, spleen, pancreas, heart, lung, ovary, oviduct and feces samples. The amplified DNA fragments were hybridized with Salmonella typhymurium TA3000 PhoE probe by Southern hybridization. The PCR to amplify the PhoE gene was highly rapid and sensitive method to detect Salmonella pullorum from tissues and stool samples.

        In this study, an integrated GMS(Geostationary Meteorological Satellite) receiving ground system, which includes the real-time reception and image processing of WEFAX data, has been developed. The demodulator, PC interface and application softwares of the system were made and integrated with the commercially available antenna and receiver. Hardwars of the system were described in this part. This system operates at IBM PCI/AT or above. It can be used for students at school and for application research in the fields of meteorology, oceanography, hydrology and astronomy.
