Renewable Energy Sources: a Novel Technology for Eco-friendly and Sustainable Pig Production
문홍석,Ampode Keiven Mark B.,DILAWAR MUHAMMAD AMMAR,Mahfuz Shad,CHEM VEASNA,김영화,문종필,양철주 한국농업기계학회 2022 바이오시스템공학 Vol.47 No.4
Purpose Renewable technologies are considered a clean energy source, providing an excellent opportunity to reduce global warming and mitigate greenhouse gas emissions by substituting conventional energy sources based on natural resources. This study compared the efects of diferent renewable energy sources on the internal pig house environment, harmful gas emissions, energy-saving efciency, and productivity traits of growing pigs. Methods Thirty heads of pigs [(Landrace×Yorkshire)×Duroc] were raised for 10 weeks in pig incubators connected with a conventional electric heating system (control), solar power system (SPS), and geothermal heat pump (GHP) energy sources for pig housing heating systems. Results The results revealed no signifcant diference in the growth performance parameters. Numerically, the highest feed intake and weight gain were recorded in the pigs reared in the GHP-connected incubators. The temperature inside the incubators did not signifcantly afect the internal environmental housing conditions. Moreover, the humidity (%) was signifcantly reduced in the GHP-connected pig incubator, but no signifcant diference was recorded in the temperature-humidity index in all incubators. The concentrations of H2S, NH3, and CO2 emissions decreased in the GHP-connected incubator. The energysaving efciency compared to the control was 21.12% for SPS and 57.32% for GHP. The relationship between feed intake and internal housing temperature and humidity of all energy sources for heating systems showed strong positive correlations with R2=0.88–0.90 and R2=0.84–0.88, respectively. Conclusion Renewable energy technologies are environmentally friendly and can be used in pig farms without adverse efects on pig production performance.
여러 가지 Die spacing material의 물리적 성질에 대한 연구
문홍석,김종진,Moon, Hong-Seok,Kim, Jong-Jin 대한치과보철학회 1999 대한치과보철학회지 Vol.37 No.5
As an optimal quality of the restorations, there should be a least amount of seating discrepancy between the casting and abutment teeth. However, high viscosity of the cementing medium and its resulting thickness may prevent complete seating of the restoration. The use of die spacing material provides adequate internal relief for the cementing medium. The purpose of this study is to compare the thickness of three commonly used die spacing materials. Materials and Methods: Stone plates were fabricated and divided into 12 sections to be painted with die spacers. Tru-Fit, Whip-Mix and Belle do St. Claire die spacer which are commonly used in dental practice were tested in this study. Each die spacers were painted layer by layer according to the manufacturer's recommendation. The average thickness of each die spacers were measured with light microscope(${\times}100$) and compared between them. Results and Conclusions. A silver-colored Tru-Fit die spacer has the lowest value of thickness without statistical significance comparing with a gold-colored Tru-Fit die spacer and a gray layer of Whip-Mix die spacer has the highest value of thickness without any statistical significance comparing with Belle de St. Claire die spacer. Three and four layers of Tru-Fit die spacer and two layers of Whip-Mix and Belle de St. Claire die spacers seem to be in the acceptable range of thickness of 25 to $45{\mu}m$ for optimal seating of the restorations. The standard experimental design and method should be fur thor evaluated for more consistent and objective results.
THE TRANSMANDIBULAR IMPLANT SYSTEM
문홍석,Moon, Hong-Seok 대한치과보철학회 1997 대한치과보철학회지 Vol.35 No.3
Many of the problems which are faced to the edentulous patients are related to a minimal amount of available mandibular bone volume and height. Most of the patients with mild atrophy of the mandible are treated using endosseous implant prosthodontics. TMI(Trans-mandibular Implant) can be used in case of severe mandibular atrophy, poor bone quality, atrophy of the mandible with exposed of inferior alveolar nerve, osteoporosis and the fracture of the atrophic mandible. Also it can eliminate the need for bone grafting and vestibuloplasty. The TMI is a rigid box frame structure which controls and distribute the masticatory force over the severely resorbed mandible. The box frame structure consist of a superstructure, baseplate, 4 transosseous posts, and 5 cortical screws. This is a case report that also describes about the transmandibular implant reconstruction system.
