1. CONTENTS<BR> (1) RESEARCH OBJECTIVES<BR> For long time, the thought of Feng shui Jiri as the basic thought of our ethnic group has affected the overall aspect of our daily life. This dissertation studied the influence that the thought of Feng shui Jiri has on the decision to purchase real estate by extracting mutually relational meaning and factors between the thought of Feng shui Jiri and real estate.<BR> (2) RESEARCH METHOD<BR> In this study examined theory and thought that may affect the decision to purchase real estate by investigating the meaning, background of establishment, objective and thought of Feng shui Jiri through literature and materials and checking the topographic thought of Korea and the characteristics and structure of land culture.<BR> (3) RESEARCH RESULTS<BR> This result of study corroborated and analyzed the influence that the thought of Feng shui Jiri has on the decision to purchase real estate as well as compared and analyzed the relation between each factor of the thought of Feng shui Jiri.<BR> 2. RESULTS<BR> This papers showed that the correlation between the thought of Feng shui Jiri and real estate should be intensively and constantly studied in diverse areas in order to contribute to the efficient utilization of our land and comfortable life.

1. CONTENTS (1) RESEARCH OBJECTIVES The purpose of this study is to apply it to selecting urban location in modern times by re-analyzing the location theory of Fengshui as the location theory of the present age. (2) RESEARCH METHOD This study aims to survey Yanggi-Fengshui theory, which was shown in the classic book of Yanggi-Fengshui(陽基風水), to explain by dividing this again into systems such as Jangpungbeop(藏風法), Deuksubeop(得水法), Jeonghyeolbeop(定穴法), and Ganryongbeop(幹龍法), and to consider how Fengshui theory is analyzed and applied to the modern urban location theory. (3) RESEARCH FINDINGS The geomantic topography of the situation in mountain and water of a propitious site, which is expressed in Fengshuijiri, is same as a form of urban location where is good for living in modern times. The propitious site in Fengshui can be seen to be requirement for urban location. Yanggi-based Fengshui theory can be applied very validly as a theory of examining of a site in urban location. 2. RESULTS With entering today, the importance of ecological city, low-carbon small town, and eco-friendly city are growing. Thus, Yanggi theory in Fengshuijiri is seen to be likely to be possibly an alternative plan of seeking for good urban location, which will satisfy a desire of mankind with the aim of making healthy and happy life in the comfortably natural environment.

1. CONTENTS (1) RESEARCH OBJECTIVES Yanggiron(陽氣論) in Fengshuijiri had formed the subbase thought system in our race, and had deep influence upon selecting the community location after he unified Silla, and upon the foundation and the capital location of Goryeo and Joseon, To apply Yanggiron to new-tow development for nature-friendly city development, the purpose of this study aims to analyze Fengshuijiri-based location in he scheduled new town development site of Dongtan 2 District. (2) RESEARCH METHOD It tries to theoretically explore how Yanggi theory in Fengshuijiri will be able to be applied to modernly urban location, and analyzes Fengshuijiri-based location in new-town development area of Dongtan 2 District based on its theory. As for the analysis of Fengshuijiri-based location, it surveys the whole area, segments in by region, and then analyzes with the shape in the surrounding mountain and river and with the harmony in yin and yang. (3) RESEARCH FINDINGS Dongtan 2 District in the geomantic topography of the situation that is divided largely into 4 region by having Mt. Mubong as Geomantic guardian mountain. North, east, and south in each region are encircled by mountainous districts. The inside comprises plain and hilly districts. Thus, in was confirmed to be proper region as a ground that a city will be located, through analyzing Fengshuijiri-based analysis such as shape in mountain and river. 2. RESULTS The results of this study in expected to likely contribute to constructing eco-friendly city where is appropriately harmonized by development and preservation.

1. CONTENTS (1) RESEARCH OBJECTIVES The purpose of this study is to suggest logic and method for ecologically developing new town. (2) RESEARCH METHOD It modernly considers Yanggiron(陽基論) in Fengshui Jiri(風水地理; geomancy theory), which had been used in our country’s traditional urban development, analyzes the location environment in Dongtan 2 new-town development-expected site by applying this, and suggests a plan of distributing the facilities by urban function in the optimal location on the basis of its analytical results. Also, it presents a method of supplementing a shortcoming of urban environment and a plan for ecological development and continuous growth in city, by applying Bibo(裨補) Fengshui theory. (3) RESEARCH FINDINGS The logic, which conforms the most with Korean-styled eco-city construction, is Fengshui Jiri Uijibeop(醫地法), which helps to supplement an environmental shortcoming in the selected site, has been broadly applied to the base of our residental life. 2. RESULTS Introduction of Fengshui Jiri to new-town development can contribute to global and national goal for reduction in CO² emission aiming at preventing global warming by making comfortable settlement environment through securing healthy ecological axis and greens amid the harmony in development and preservation, and by activating function of forest.
