Sequencing problem in manufacturing industries has been studied in various aspects. However, no research to use idling processes under product layout is found in the literature. This paper presents a method to make a schedule using idling processes under product layout by assigning assembly works to production line. It is found that the suggested method in this research has better performance of 11.2% higher than the flat product layout in the mean of efficiency in scheduling. This figure indicates that the suggested method can be applied to improve productivities to the auto parts manufacturing companies with product layout configuration in practice.
왕복비대칭 가변이동속도에서의 효율적 배송차량경로 탐색해법 연구

An efficient vehicle routing heuristic for different vehicle moving times for forward and backward between two points is studied in this research. Symmetric distance or moving times are assumed to move back and forth between two points in general, but it is not true in reality. Also, various moving speeds along time zones are considered such as the moving time differences between rush hours or not busy daytimes. To solve this type of extremely complicated combinatorial optimization problems, delivery zones are specified and delivery orders are determined for promising results on the first stage. Then delivery orders in each zone are determined to be connected with other zones for a tentative complete delivery route. Improvement steps are followed to get an effective delivery route for unsymmetric-time-varing vehicle moving speed problems. Performance evaluations are done to show the effectiveness of the suggested heuristic using computer programs specially designed and developed using C++.
개선형 탐색법에 의한 기계공장 배치안 작성시 고려요소별 가중치의 크기에 관한 연구

Weight of the factors to be considered in layout development with improvement-type heuristics is discussed in this paper. Determination of weight is especially important if it is designed to be used with an improvement-type heuristic. It is same as the value of variable coefficients in a multi-objective function as well as indices for departmental switching orders in the heuristic. Various weights are examined through computer simulation to verify whether the numerical values collected from machinery industries can be used as weights. And then a method to be used for searching an optimum or optimum-tending layout for machinery industries is presented using the weight.
그룹화에 의한 효율적 부품자삽 순서의 결정에 관한 연구

In this paper, a grouping method of parts is suggested for the sequencing of insertion in PCB concerning the size of parts as a constraint. In reality, part placement process is restricted by the size of parts, and the order is arranged after parts grouping. However, it has been performed without this constraint in earlier studies. In this paper, parts are classified into two groups, namely, fixed group and arbitrary group, and parts in arbitrary group are arranged into fixed group based on the necessary moving distance. And then tried to reduce processing time for part insertion. Numerical examples are used to show the performance of the suggested part grouping method. Length and processing time of the initial path are compared with the obtained final solution. The performance of grouping method is better than the existing methods.

Determination of component mounting sequence on printed circuit board assembly process is a typical NP-hard problem. It is a kind of traveling salesman problems, but it has one more hard to meet constraint of matching component type per mounting position as well as searching the shortest path. An efficient method is developed by separation of crowed area and allowing up to two slots per component type. A simulation model is constructed using Visual C++ for evaluation of the suggested heuristic.

대부분의 AS/RS 운영정책 연구는 등급별 저장이 임의저장보다 우수한 수행도를 나타낸다고 결론짓고 있다. 그러나 실제 현장에서는 임의저장이나 이와 유사한 형태의 근거리 저장이 주로 사용되고 있는 실정이다. 이와 같이 AS/RS 운영에 관련된 연구결과들이 현실에서 적용되지 못하고 있는 데는 여러 가지 이유가 있겠지만 본 연구에서는 빈번하게 바뀌고 있는 생산계획에 그 원인을 두었다. 신제품의 투입으로 기존 제품의 생산량에 변화가 일어나는 경우가 빈번한 생산현장을 감안하여 GPSS로 AS/RS의 모형을 구축하고 그 운용상태를 파악해 볼 수 있도록 임의저장, 2등급저장, 3등급저장 등의 경우를 시험·분석하였다. 각 경우별로 적정 허용 변동율과 최대 허용 변동율, 변동에 대한 반응도 등이 분석되었다.
