Through the thought of etiology and pathogenesis of convulsion disease in past document, we concluded as follow. 1. Convusion disease brings about some symptoms such as myotonia, neck stiffness, myospasm of four limbs, and in the ancient times it was called in Gye-Jong(개종), Chu-Pung(抽風), Chi(치). 2. Etiologies of convulsion disease are external invasion of Pung-Han-Seubl(風寒濕) and Youl-Sa(熱邪), mistreatment, great loss of blood, deficiency of Gi-Hyul(氣血), stagnation of phlegm and blood. 3. There are four pathologic cases which arise convulsion disease. They are muscular denutrition from meridian stagnation by external invasion, muscular denutrition of heat injury, stagnation of phlegm and thrombus in meridian, muscular denutrition with deficiency of Gi-Hyul(氣血). 4. The treatment methods of convulsion disease are divided into three. If caused by external invasion, the methods are San-Han-Hae-Gi(散寒解肌), Hwa-Yung-Jo-Joong(和營調中). If caused by deficiency of Gi-Hyul(氣血), the method is Bo-Gi-Ik-Hyul(補氣益血). If caused by stagnation of phlegm and blood, the methods are Hwal-Hyul-So-Eo(活血消瘀), Do-Dam-Gun-Bi(導痰健脾).

Oculomotor nerve palsy is a disorder which causes yeball movement trouble, diplopi a, dizziness and eyelid ptosis. It is caused by aneurysm, mass, trauma, infection and un known cause. We observed a case of traumatic Lt. 3rd(oculomotor nerve) palsy patient treated with korean medicine(Acupuncture, Herbal medicine). We treated acupuncture(o nce a day) and prescribed to herbal medicine for a patient who was hospitalized for tw o months in Dunsan korean medicine hospital, The patient had ptosis and eye moveme nt disorder(Dysmetria), these symptoms reduced significantly after treatment. Objectives In <Hwangjenaegyeong Somun Sagijosindaelon>, the climate change according to the four seasons is explained, and how to manage health by adjusting the lifestyle is recorded. Since the concepts of yin-yang and the four seasons are being re-examined in modern times with the discovery of biological clock genes, we attempted to scientifically reinterpret the classic text. Methods We reinterpreted the classic text and used keywords such as “circadian clock,” “circadian gene,” “seasonal variation,” “metabolism,” “environment,” and “climate” to search PubMed and Google Scholar for relevant articles. References in relevant articles were also considered. Results In mammals, the suprachiasmatic nucleus and the autonomic nervous system regulate seasonal variation in physiological responses in response to changes in the length of the external light cycle. Since most people now live in indoor environments with air conditioning and lighting, seasonal circadian rhythms have decreased in comparison to 100 years ago. Disrupting the circadian rhythm is equivalent to attacking the body from within by disrupting the order in the body. To restore and fine-tune the circadian rhythm and prevent serious diseases before the body's dysfunction becomes chronic, healthy eating, proper sleep, and adequate physical activity are required. Conclusions With the recent focus on global warming and environmental pollution, interest in climate change-related health issues is growing. Global cooperation will be required, and the effects of climate change on ecosystems and environments, as well as their impact on people's health, must be continuously monitored to protect the global environment and public health.

Objective : Western sleeping pills work very fast and effectively against insomnia. But they also bring about many side effects. Therefore oriental medicine can be a good alternative remedy. There are many clinical reports about patients treated for insomnia after stroke using oriental medicine. However, there are no clinical report about patients treated for insomnia after stroke diagnosed by Gobub & Bokjin. We want to prove the effect of Gobub & Bokjin in diagnosis and treatment for the insomnia patients after stroke. Methods : We chosed a patient who had suffered from insomnia after stroke. We administered acupuncture treatment, as well as Herbal medicine(Bokryoungum and Sanjoinsan). We monitored total sleep time per a day for 23 days. Results & Conclusion : Bokryoungum and Sanjoinsan was effective in improving overall sleep time day.
