기독교상담의 정체성을 찾아 가는 것은 심리학과의 통합의 과정으로 이해되어지며 이는 기독교상담의 역사라 할 수 있다. 이는 수용의 역사, 거부의 역사, 통합의 역사로 이해되어지며 심리학과 신학 그리고 성경의 상호보완을 강조한다. 일반상담과 기독교상담의 경계 없는 적용 속에서 기독교상담의 정체성을 확고하게 하며 목적이 분명한 상담방법의 차별화로 말미암아 시대적으로 ``영성``이라는 개념이 모호해지고 있는 현실에서 더욱 영적이며 깊이 있는 하나님과의 만남을 통해 삶을 성찰하는 것이야말로 진정한 상담으로서의 기능을 가질 수 있을 것이다. 한국에서의 기독교상담은 연구주제와 방법들이 다양하게 진행되고 발전되고 있으며 실제적 활동에서도 교회 상담실을 설치하는 등의 사례들이 증가하고 있다. 이런 점에서 질적인 상담사의 수준이 높아질뿐더러 관리유지 되며 교회 안의 갈등문제해결뿐 아니라 한국사회에 영향력을 미칠 수 있는 상담 영역으로 발전해야 할 것이다. This study is to assess Integration movement the apply the results of integration studies to the practice of christian counseling. Christian counseling considerably has been concerned about variable integration with existing general psychology. Someone always christian counseling would have not accepted its utilization the making with account biblical authority. Others have been in agreement to proper utilization of psychological principle, and also they have recommended its utilization highly. There have showed variable differences in evaluating the impact of the utilization. In the other hands, christian counseling is on the integrated trends recently which is considered as an accomplished fact. In the context, christian counseling is modernize and actively utilize in the Korean church.

The purpose of this study was to develop the group counseling program and to identify the validity of a wellness model in order to prove its practicality in counseling. The definition of wellness is a way of life oriented toward optimal health and well-being to live more fully with the human and natural community. The wellness model is a theory that can improve personal well-being and the quality of life. It consists of five major life tasks based on Adler`s theory of lifestyle: 1) spirituality, 2) self-regulation, 3) work and leisure, 4) friendship and 5) love. However, the spirituality of this model is different from the Christian view. Though this group counseling program was made as a basis of the wellness model, its spirituality followed the Christian view. This is because a human being is created as a whole person, in God`s image, which is integrated spiritually, emotionally and physically-The hypothesis to be addressed was as follows: First, the group who took part in the wellness enhancement program compared with the other group who did not, may show positive differences on the Wellness Evaluation of Lifestyle after the training. The subjects of the research were 14 adults(4 males; 10 females) who go to church in Busan, They voluntarily participated in the group counseling program. They were divided into two groups: an experimental group(n=7) and a control group(n=7). Their average age was 28. In order to analyze the data of two groups, MANOVA was used. The following result was obtained: 1. The experimental group showed more improvement of a wellness than the control group: spirituality, self-regulation, work/leisure, and friendship.
